So happy about this flight to Las Vegas. Can't wait to visit the best country in the world Ireland. A beautiful place with equally beautiful friendly people. And an airline that I think is amazing to.
*Cracker of a landing!! Good to know Aer Lingus flies direct to Dublin from Vegas, so if I ever get the chance to go home for a holiday it'll be less of a hassle with transfers, etc. Emigrated to the U.S in 1989 and have only gotten to go home once in all that time. I'd love to take my U.S born kids and grandkids to see my beautiful country. I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer so I'm at the start of a (hopefully successful) battle*
Good luck with your treatment and I hope your children and grandchildren come to Ireland for a visit. They'll get a great céad míle fáilte (as will you, no doubt). ☘️🇮🇪 Direct flights will make it sooo much easier. When we went in 1990, we flew Dublin-Atlanta, and then Phoenix into McCarron Airport. It was a looong journey.
I flew out on this flight.. Most enjoyable and very comfortable in Economy. . Upgraded on the way home on the 29th to Business class... Very comfortable seats and nice food... Delicious signature cocktails xx
We flew from MAN to MCO and back last summer. Worst flights I have been on in a long time. Inattentive cabin crew. Inedible food, terrible experience. We would never fly with them again by choice.
Brilliant for we Avgeeks. Also, simply love the Irish. My wife and I visited Dublin again two weeks ago. They are always so welcoming, friendly and funny. Indeed, that was clearly reflected by all the crew here!! Thank you!!
I’m coming back home to Ireland from the U.K. to find myself a handsome Irish hunk to be my boyfriend/husband, even though I’ve lived in the U.K. 23 years as an Irish gay man - Irish men are the most handsome in the world 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪😍😍😍😍😍
These types of videos from a flight deck perspective are AMAZING and very insightful - gives the full understanding of the 1st hand view from the flight deck ...well done @AerLingus
Wonderful. Aer Lingus deliver most of my clients on my tours of Ireland. Great that you put so much attention into these films of the journey from flight deck and cabin. Fair play to all on board!
Aviation nerd here. I've never flown with you guys, but I very well might in May - I might be going to Ireland then. Regardless, this was an amazing video to watch - I can only imagine how much of an honor it was for the crew and passengers to be on the inaugural flight. Greetings from Boston!
Cool video ☘️☘️ Great to see the inner workings of a flight by a well trained, professional and knowledgeable crew doing what they do best. Have had the pleasure of Lisa flying me a couple of times and always great flight with her, must do it again some time 👩✈️
Great video of your inaugural flight!! All of you did a great job giving us an insider's view of what the flight crew does prior and during flight. May all your flights be safe and smooth!!
Not before time Aer Lingus flying direct to Vegas! It has been talked about for yrs but at last it is happening. Looking forward to our first direct flight to Vegas early 2025 after many yrs of having to hang about other airports en route but dont know why its just a seasonal thing with no flights after April?
Great to see Aer Lingus starting flights to Las Vegas. Its always great and very interesting to see a little bit about what goes on in the cockpit. Also great to see Lisa's walkabout pre flight. It would have been good to look out the windows as they flew close to Greenland. Best of luck with the new route, maybe I'll get to try it someday 😉😀
Yes, Dublin Airport has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection check point. A beautiful thing. We flew Dublin back home to LAX summer 2023. Got off the plane, picked up our luggage and went home!
I was delighted to learn that Aer Lingus will commence flights to Indianapolis Indiana from May 2025. It will save me a lot of time from having to fly to Chicago O'Hare and will reduce my post flight commute time from nearly three hours to less than 20 minutes which is a real game changer for me. I believe they'll be using the new long range A321xlr aircraft on that route too. Aer Lingus have long been a favorite for me and with the new Indianapolis service I expect to be flying with them far more often. Goodbye O'Hare, it was nice knowing you.
As an Aviation Enthusiast this makes me happy new routes. What would also make me happy Boeing 777 in Aer Lingus livery. Yep you guessed it I am a Boeing Fan. Great video folks and best of luck with the new route.
Such a cool vlog I dream of flying on an Aer Lingus A333 and my sister in law recently flew back from the states on an A333 from ord to dub to ABZ but to see FO Lisa and senior cabin crew Sarah Jayne is absolutely fantastic wish I had been on the flight and my sister in law has beaten me to by flying with u first but good vlog and hopefully will see more of the same 😊😊😊
Congratulations on your Vegas flights. Having been to vegas 6 times, I know the landings can be very roller coaster 😂 but a beautiful first landing, well done 👏🏻 😊
That was excellent, thank you! One question: after being advised that you were going to land on 19R, you actually landed on 26R. At what what point were you told about the change and what was the reason?

Is this route seasonal or year round? Imagine the A330 takeoff performance will be quite heavily affected by the hot temps/high altitude at Vegas in the summer
50 years ago flying an aircraft would have been an entirely different ball game. So much technology and know how is now available to crews that the process has been simplified considerably.

is it normal during takeoff for a plane to be that close to the end of the runway on rotate? just curious!
Yes. Very common, especially for heavier aircraft.
They rotated with about 2,000 feet remaining, so not quite as tight as it might appear.
The big white markings are 1,000 ft from the end, so not close at all.
We flew Aer Lingus to San Fransisco, we bid on Business Class and won !!! the best airline ever.

What is there to see in Dublin?
I've never been to Ireland before, hence my question
A lot, and all over Ireland, our culture and landscape is the best and underrated
Two days max in Dublin as it’s a kip, then head for west coast and travel the Atlantic Highway.
Dublin is a rip off, one of the most expensive cities i have ever been in
I've just returned to Dublin from a visit to New York which I can assure was way more expensive albeit a much better city. @@petesy03
