Hand-fly as much as you can and during different flight phases. Also in turbulent/imc weather if your procedures allow. You may hardly ever need that skill. Or you may one day save the aircraft by keeping your reflexes well programmed. After the adventures I experienced, I do not believe that hand flying should be limited to short final in vmc (and more of such modern nonsense without a scientific base). People lose their 'edge' when doing this. Have good flights and beautiful views 😎! Greets from a retired aviator.

Yes Michelle, I always want to learn how do you take off your flight so wonderfully in the windy time so successfully. You are a skillful pilot Michelle who can drive the plane BOEING 737 to any country without hesitation. May you be more successful Michelle

Great to see a separate check for flaps set before the full check list where presumably it's checked again.

The question about the Transition Altitude/Level:
Air pressure changes permanently due to weather conditions (temperature, meteorologic Highs and Lows, etc), so you set the altimeter to the local pressure at the airport to have the real (and correct) altitude displayed.
But in airspace, ATC has to separate all flights (security distances etc.) and therefore everyone needs the same base for the altitude display. To achieve this, every plane sets the altimeter to ISA Standard (=1013 hPa) at the transition altitude. So if ATC tells one flight to use FL210 and another to use FL230, they both may don't fly on that altitude in the current real air pressure, but (and that's important): There are definitely 2.000 feet between the two planes.
It's called the Transition Altitude (TA) when climbing (from ground to the airspaces), because until you cross it, you measure the 'altitude' in feet. After the TA, you use 'flightlevel' (FL) for altitude concerns.
Other way round, leaving the airspace and descending for landing, you have to switch to the local pressure when crossing the Transition Level (TL) at latest. Normally ATC gives you early the QNH in descent or has a range within everybody has to switch to the local pressure to assure, that below the TL everybody uses the same measurement base again (and due to obstacles and airfield elevation, it has to be the local pressure. Else you fly way too low or high due to a false measurement base - and that's not a good thing when closer to the ground.)
