I feel like when a plane is on the ground, you get a sense that there is all this pent up power just waiting to be unleashed. I love it. I'm in love with flying.
Gordon Ramsay Imagine we have our own cargo airplane. We only takeoff at midnight. We fly by shifts and we deliver shipments across all continents. Oh man, that's the life I wanna have and there aint no harm in dreaming.
llTheLastThronell Heck yeah ! I wanna look at the cities at night from above as the lights spread across the earth. Wouldnt it be such an amazing thing to gaze on .
Still all artificial. I would cry over natural beauty, not the stuff that we created and the stuff that will kill our planet. But it's still beautiful tho. Don't get me wrong :D
Agreed. Its funny when you you listen to an excellent controller like her interact with a female pilot with an attitude and the claws start to come out.
I've been extremely fortunate enough to sit in the jump seat of TriStars and A330s into Kai Tak as well as A330s, A340s and 747s in and out of CLK when my Dad was a CX captain. Wonderful memories came back from the video and thanks so much!
I've seen this KLM Boeing 747-400 Cargo often when I was parking my car somewhere at a spotters-place nearby Schiphol Airport. Just like every Boeing 747-400 a very beautiful plane.
thanks for posting complete video. I love KLM stays loyal to Boeing (747) as they did about DC fleet, which they grounded a few years only. Nice maintenance and management.
Brilliant footage, awesome camera work and sound. Felt like I was actually sat in the jump seat. And I loved it when he turned the interior cockpit lights off, it really added to the atmosphere. Thanks for sharing!
Oh yeah! Good pfd, ND, eicas and MCP as well as their hands and of course out the glass is just fantastic I think, well done again Capt, FO and PC. Great look at 07R at the turn!
Every day I watch this video while going to work and feel my self as Captain 👨✈️ the conversation between traffic control tower and pilots is superb best
From what I have been told, B744 is a pleasure to hand fly, which is only confirmed by captain's extensive hand flying. :) Great video and hope many more are to come! Thank you!
Amazing video. Gave me a real insight on the professionalism and skill that goes on when I fly to and from work every week. Amazing stuff, I'm in awe of these people. Thanks for posting.
My first 747 flight march 1983 an old Aer Lingus ..going from Dublin to Faro portugal . i can still remember looking out at that huge wing on taxi compared to the single engine cesnas and my father telling me how heavy it was

Poor old plane.. it wasn't her fault! :) I wish I had the pleasure of flying in a B747. That's my favorite airline jet!
lake fire Well my first flight was in a GlosterDC8 DC 6 and many others Meteor NF11 (passenger) then a DC3-a Viscount -707-and many others. Favorite is the Airbus A 340

andyouf It is a tablet that contains airport, route, checklists (the plane "computer" has check lists too). This all used to be in paper manuals, which was great for a different era but is now becoming antiquated. Jeppesen still produces paper manuals for several airlines like United, Im pretty sure. I use a tablet . . . way better than fumbling through a thousand pages of tissue paper (very thin paper) only to find that the departure you need is missing, pages torn, or that the page in the manual has an earlier effective date than what you can use, but the current page is not there . . . it is all assembled by humans. No app that can control the plane . . . yet.
Especially Hong Kong. I hate what’s going on there at the moment. I love the thought of climbing aboard Cathay Pacific 777 or A350 & heading for London on the midnight flight arriving in London in the Early morning. Got to wait for a year before that happens again. Damn Covid.

Great video. I loved the air traffic controller's voice. Does anyone know where her accent is from? It sounds like there is a little bit of British in there but I'm not sure what else. I'm assuming she also has somewhat of a HK accent, but I'm not too sure. I wasn't able to fully figure it out. Also what dialect of British does she have?
thats a ballsy Cathay pilot at 08:00 questioning ATC about his wait time. But it works..the First excuse she gives is “ongoing restrictions”..then when questioned she changes the excuse is due to “inbound traffic” ....what a little liar she is..when the lies are exposed the Wait time is immediately reduced from 5 min to 2 mins..Cathay pilot...BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. sweet sounding liar ATC needs 15 lashes with the same bamboo cane they use to beat the pro democracy demonstrators

Does anyone else fall asleep to this? The smooth noise in the cockpit plus the radio chatter puts me to sleep.
on loop🤪
I'm getting addicted to watching these videos... Can't wait to actually be flying a plane one day
that female air traffic controller's voice is extremely sweet. guess her voice is able to ease the tense.
Andy Lam I agree, perfect English too with slight accent.
sweetness is most important when directing flying. it ease tense by alot.
Andy Lam "most important."? Its not. Its nice, but skill is most important. .
I agree.
Andy Lam Studies have shown that a female voice grabs attention better and are thus used in military flight alert systems.. Imagine that
No matter how many times I have already watched this, it just remains beautiful over and over again!
My thoughts exactly
I feel like when a plane is on the ground, you get a sense that there is all this pent up power just waiting to be unleashed. I love it. I'm in love with flying.
The engines sound like PW4000s. Are they? To analogize the power, I like to imagine a two-wide team of 100,000 horses pulling it down the runway.
Great comment
@@visualjazz2200 General Electric CF6 to be exact they are also used for DC-10s and 767s.
The 747 is probably my favourite aircraft of all time. Love the look of it, the engine sound and general flying/handling characteristics
I always liked flying at night. I never get tired of viewing the city lights & watching traffic on the freeway.
Flying at night is the most amusing thing ever
I love Hongkong people's voices. Their english very nice and sweet
I would've clipped something in the parking lot within 2 minutes! 😂 that is a massive aircraft!!
everyone's voice sounds mysterious and cool with the radio static
Been watching these videos for over 2 hours now. Something mesmerizing about them. Almost like a meditation.
+Zai Win Finally found someone who is through the same thing.
Count me in as well . Oh i love the plane taking off sound ....

a take off from the cockpit, in a metropoli city, at night... one of the most beautiful things a human being could ever experience. this makes me cry
Still all artificial. I would cry over natural beauty, not the stuff that we created and the stuff that will kill our planet. But it's still beautiful tho. Don't get me wrong :D
Ever seen a dusk takeoff?

Too bad the plane did not fly over the Victoria Harbour. If it did the view would be staggering
The sound of those engines revving up when takeoff power is applied is like music to my ears.
Can't even imagine the feeling of anticipation at 19:00
The female air trafic Control have sweet Voice. Só nice. Salut her
Right
She speaks clearer than any other ATC I have heard. sweet as well
Agreed. Its funny when you you listen to an excellent controller like her interact with a female pilot with an attitude and the claws start to come out.

My thoughts exactly Ma’am
Good thing pilots only fly so many hours. That way they make AWESOME videos like this one! Thank you very much.
That soothing voice, combined with superfast thinking.

Not weird at all in my opinion, a good mixture of sheer professional and emotional excitement, every time, it never goes away does it?
I've never had a fear of flying, but for someone who does, this can be very therapeutic.
i have panic to travel and it's very very bad for my mind. maybe is the constant stress, anxiety..
Wow. I like the ATC voice and the beautiful airport more than the video!!
19:15 'Clear for take off' gives me goose gumps.

Okay, but decaf still contains 5% caffeine. That's why I only drink cappuccino.
good what does we are

Hong Kong airport is very big, amazing places to eat. It’s also cool flying in at night.
I agree. Approach from north before dawn (from Sydney) - enchanting.
