    Pilots are badass! The confidence it takes to take people up into the sky, keep them up there, and transport them to another part of the world is an extremely high level skill but is undervalued.

    • @megapizzaplex-
      @megapizzaplex- Год назад +31

      its because pilots are more experienced and they know planes are the safest mode of travel,
      theres a reason so little as an engine failure gets on the news because its so ridiculously rare, and planes are designed to fly on one engine

    • @LordOfSweden
      @LordOfSweden 11 месяцев назад

      @@megapizzaplex- Yeah but after watching enough mentour pilots, I know that the risk is not engine failure... but pilot failure. Specifically Senior pilots / captais who f up and just crash plane. I watched 3 videos today. Reasons for crashes:
      1. Senior pilot accidently pulled the wrong lever to feather the propellers instead of the flaps..... then instead of realizing it and fixing it, when missing the path to runway, turn hard left and stall the plane
      2. Captain having some kind of breakdown and just nosedive the plane when he was suppose to do a go around because of wind, even tho the co pilot tell him to pull up and even tries it himself
      3. Captain uninterested in breifing before flight, young co-pilot did everything right and by the book, gets ignored by captain. Engine failure on start and captain not retracting landing gear, accidently pull back the thrust and not knowing what to do so keeps climbing at a normal rate with 1 engine and reduced thrust on the one engine they had.... so the plane stalls
      All just embarassing, sad mistakes by senior pilots causing hundreds of deaths
      Senior pilots seem to be the problem

    I currently live and study in another country which is so far away from my home country, and one of my best feelings in this world is seeing the plane finally landing on that runway in my hometown’s airport, knowing that i and the rest of the passengers landed safely and will be able to see our families and beloved ones after a long journey.
    I usually go back to my country during the summer or sometimes in the winter if i have a holiday, and one of the worst feelings for me is when you’re finally going back, that last day with ur family, packing up, going to the airport and finally seeing that plane taking off while looking down the city closer and closer but its going further and further until it disappears and then i just pray and ask God to bring me back home quickly and safely.

That in no way manages to catch up to the number of pilots who come from civilian flight school though. Also as ‘MG’ had said, the Military only hires the top people who not only fit the characteristics of a pilot but also as an officer who could become the next General one day. My favorite part about the entire flight is the take off! I think it’s so cool how they can get us so fast and so high up in such a short time
    And that sound the engines make right before the plane goes full speed in takeoff is so familiar to me and it’s always exciting cause I’m like here we go to a new place!

    I love hearing and feeling the power of the airplanes Engines rev up as you speed off the runway for take off and the amount of G-Force being placed as the airplane picks up speed and velocity!! Physics at it's finest!! Thank the Pilots and Engineers that make this all happen!!
