I made these Ube Crinkles a while ago and they are so delicious. I just have to reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup and it’s just sweet enough! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
For anyone wondering why your crinkles are flat, it’s probably because you didn’t refrigerate enough. Also be sure to also use a firm ube jam and good baking powder to ensure this or become watery. Important for non-fluffy crinkles!! Make sure to cream the sugar egg and canola oil! But not enough to make a whipped cream texture. Or maybe that will taste good 🤔 Also dont over mix the overall mixture! You want it to be a cakey texture so it’s hard to over mix but it’s still possible!!!
Hi! Best to consult the package and turn it into ube halaya or ube jam first before using it in this recipe. Use the same amount as listed in the recipe. Good luck! Thanks for visiting and watching our videos. 😀

Hi! Not sure what the texture of ube paste is but if it's like ube flavoring, you may need more flour since ube halaya is an ingredient that adds bulk to this recipe. Hi! Ube is a local root crop of the Philippines. It's earthy and mild tasting. It's neither a purple sweet potato nor is it purple taro. Looks wise, It's actually closer to a yuca than sweet potatoes, taro, or yams. :) Thanks for visiting and watching our videos. :)
Hello! Yes! You can still make this soft and chewy cookie without the ube flavoring. :) We added it in for a more vibrant color and flavor. Hope you still make it. Thanks for watching our videos. :)

Hi! You can always skip the food coloring and just use ube halaya. Remember that recipes are guides, not the rule, so if you want to change the recipe, feel free to do so but we do stand by the recipe as written. By omitting the food coloring in this case, your crinkles might not be as vibrant as the ones we made here but will still be delicious. (Btw, TMI haha!) What does ube taste like?
It looks like a purple sweet potato 🍠
YUMMY Ph
Thanks 🙏🏻
Ok lang po ba walang ube flavoring? Wala po akong mahanap :/
Hello! Yes! You can still make this soft and chewy cookie without the ube flavoring. :) We added it in for a more vibrant color and flavor. Hope you still make it. Thanks for watching our videos. :)

Hi! Yay! Thanks for visiting and watching our videos. :)
What can I use for substitution if ube halaya is not available?
Hi! There are ube powders you can turn into ube halaya. Unfortunately, this was not tested using a substitute ingredient for the ube.
Hello! You can use purple food coloring for the color and vanilla extract if desired. Thanks for watching our videos. :)

Why the fck do we keep using food coloring in food? It’s bad for you plus this purple one makes your poop green
(Btw, TMI haha!) Thanks for watching and visiting our channel! 😊
Terrible. It was a waste of time and ingredients.
Hello! Oh no. :( We wonder what happened because we think these are delicious. :) We hope you try our other recipes if this one didn't work out for you. Thanks for watching our videos. :)
Can i use ube powder instead of halaya?
Hi! You will need to transform the ube powder into ube halaya first before using in this recipe. Good luck! Thanks for watching our videos. :)
Can i use vegetable oil instead of canola?
Hi! Yes, you can. Thanks for visiting and watching our videos. :)
@@yummyph Maam kung i benta to magkano po kaya?
Hi! Since we do not know how much you spent on your ingredients, it's best that you calculate that yourself. As a general rule, it's best to charge your customers 150% so you can buy more ingredients and have the extra as profit. Hope that helps.
