My favorite part of Secret Life’s gimmick was watching the players grapple with arbitrary dooms handed down from on high (the boogeyman task was one of my favorite sessions of the entire series). It was like a disaster movie, watching how everyone reacted to things outside their control. Wild Life’s gimmick takes that disaster-movie vibe and makes it the focus, so I’m really excited! Good job Grian, getting all the mods together must have been a ton of work!
It's so fascinating that from Mumbo's perspective, Grian DEFINITELY seemed sus, but from GRIAN'S perspective, I totally get why Grian was offended by their lack of trust.

Hi Grian, not sure if you'll ever see this, but I've heard a lot of people have apparently been starting to be rather critical of the life series and I just wanted to say: I don't agree with them. The life series is SO much fun. My friend introduced it to me just a month ago, and I've been speed running the series ever since to try and catch up to where you're at now (I still have secret life to go, but I wanted to hop on here and leave this comment at least). This has quickly become one of my favorite things to watch, so please don't let anyone bring y'all down with complaints about who teams with who or if the series' twist is engaging enough. What's truly fun about this series at its core has always been you guys having fun, so keep doing that and you'll all have my support. Thank you for such a fun series, and I can't wait til I'm caught up enough to actually watch these new wild life episodes!

I saw Scar’s perspective first and thought man they are being rough on him. Then I saw this one and it all made perfect sense. Man I love this series!!
This is my first time watching a life series as it comes out, I'm really excited to see it play out! I absolutely love this concept - i predicted it would maybe be something similar, like swapping the gimmick out each session for a previous gimmick done (boogeyman, double life bond, etc etc) but this gives a lot more freedom! It's honestly quite fun that you know all the wild cards that will happen - it doesn't give you any advantage considering there's always new things to discover once you test it with a giant group of people, it just gives you the opportunity to be in the best place to watch as your friends discover something you made for them! I think it's lovely, and with how much effort you must have put in behind the scenes to get these wild cards working, I think you deserve that delight of watching them fumble their way into the new wild card of the session! Looking forward to the next episodes :D

Am I the only one that thinks it's weird to cosplay as a minecraft RUclipsr? Like, I'd understand if it's from a more lore-heavy smp like Empires smp, rats smp, asmp, ... because there the ytubers are acting out a story and playing characters, so you'll be dressing up as their characters. But things like life series, Hermitcraft just feels weird? You're basically just wearing a costume of a real person.

Wild card ideas: gravity direction changes every 30 minutes, passive mobs turn hostile, items attack you, half the server turns red for a session, the boogie man returns, players go twice as fast and jump five times as high. Love the series btw it’s just amazing and so funny

Another excellent idea for a season! I am excited to see you teaming with Skizz and Mumbo (but honestly I would have been excited no matter who you had teamed with, including having no team at all). With your creative brain and its propensity for thinking up pranks and the like, I am certain the other wildcards will be both chaotic and fun.
Wildcard Ideas: - All mobs explode / all hostile mobs explode (when hit or when attacking player) - All food functions like Suspicious Stew & gives random status effects - Mining any block causes the player (minor) damage - Hostile mobs don't burn & can spawn during the day - Constant thunderstorms / increased chance of lightning strikes - Fall damage is doubled - All hostile mobs are witches - Tools are reskinned so that shovels look like picks, picks look like axes, axes look like hoes, etc.
Wildcard ideas: 1. Skins and names are swapped between just 2 people, periodically every 15 minutes (so you can make it look like someone else did something). Alternatively 1 person takes on someone else’s skin every 15 mins 2. Hostile mobs become friendly and friendly mobs become hostile 3. Tamed mobs run attack their owners on sight 4. All water becomes lava 5. Rain occurs every 15 minutes but rains down random items each time.

*Suggestion:* Every time you place a block, a random block of the same variety somewhere in the world disappears For example: Mumbo places an oak plank block, and a random oak plank block dissappears in BigB's base
Wild card: every time you take damage, you fly a little bit into the air however the more damage you take, the higher you get flung also, love this season already EDIT: I shouldn’t stack so that you keep taking damage after you get flung and you don’t go high enough to die unless you’re just unlucky.

I love the gimmicks every season, and this one does not disappoint! Now I get to see a new gimmick every episode! As for this episode, the height changing was hilarious and great to watch, as was the near-deaths and paranoia of the Sub-1 Club. Overall, I really liked the video!
Wild card ideas Reverse controls Reverse hunger (get hungry when you eat) More on reverse hunger When the wild card activates, everyone's hunger goes down to 0 and when they eat they start to take damage like you do when you don't eat, if you kept eating you keep losing hearts, eventually you die and lose a life, basically if you don't relize what's going on you will lose a life and possibly more lives if you do it the next time Tbh, Reverse Controls are so funny. Coming back to comment nearly a week later to day that this wildcard has been SOOOOOOO fun and good. I've seen sooo many fun drawings of everyone being small or big and I have been delighted at every one of them. I'm soo happy lol every day is like I've got all these little guys and gals to hold and put in my pocket lol I've loved the borrowers and pixie hollow and these is bringing me the warmest and funniest feelings. I'm so excited for the next one!!!!
Somebody has probably already suggested this as a wildcard, but I think i'd be cool for later on in the series. Double Life: yep, basically just the double life gimmick. Main difference is that two people of differing life amounts can still be paired together, which is bound to cause some chaos (especially if the highest life and lowest life player get paired lol) Boogeyman: yep, basically just the boogeyman curse. Maybe to spice it up, if you get a boogey kill, you gain a life. to keep the wildcard more secretive, there's no announcement in chat for when the boogey is chosen, just a "you are the boogeyman" on screen.
please i agree but also are they paired to new people or old. cause i think it would be even more fun to bring back all the soulmate dous. hopefully this will get seen
@@tieliger I think that either would be cool, but there was a few people (I think just Skizz, Gem, Mumbo, and Lizzie) that weren't in DL, so they wouldn't have anybody they were previously tied to, but since its an even number of people, they could have their soulmates randomized amongst themselves!

You decide what level, but I think it would be something funny to mess around with for the first while, but then it will be a bit of a challenge to figure out how to actually play with it, because you'll constantly be hitting your head in small areas, but it'll make getting up higher like from ravines and stuff easier. Loved the video btw! The life series antics always make me laugh so much lol, it's great to have it back!

Wild card ideas: gravity direction changes every 30 minutes, passive mobs turn hostile, items attack you, half the server turns red for a session, the boogie man returns, players go twice as fast and jump five times as high. Love the series btw it’s just amazing and so funny

Another excellent idea for a season! I am excited to see you teaming with Skizz and Mumbo (but honestly I would have been excited no matter who you had teamed with, including having no team at all). With your creative brain and its propensity for thinking up pranks and the like, I am certain the other wildcards will be both chaotic and fun.
The fact that Grian had 2 seperate stacks of lapis that add up to less than a stack and then did this at 42:50 is so weirdly infuriating

Wildcard Ideas:
- All mobs explode / all hostile mobs explode (when hit or when attacking player)
- All food functions like Suspicious Stew & gives random status effects
- Mining any block causes the player (minor) damage
- Hostile mobs don't burn & can spawn during the day
- Constant thunderstorms / increased chance of lightning strikes
- Fall damage is doubled
- All hostile mobs are witches
- Tools are reskinned so that shovels look like picks, picks look like axes, axes look like hoes, etc.

1. Skins and names are swapped between just 2 people, periodically every 15 minutes (so you can make it look like someone else did something). Alternatively 1 person takes on someone else’s skin every 15 mins
2. Hostile mobs become friendly and friendly mobs become hostile
3. Tamed mobs run attack their owners on sight
4. All water becomes lava
5. Rain occurs every 15 minutes but rains down random items each time.
Hidden death messages?
Double life?
Number 5 would be really laggy

Number 4 would be hard or impossible to implement, especially because of chunks being loaded / unloaded.

When the wild card activates, everyone's hunger goes down to 0 and when they eat they start to take damage like you do when you don't eat, if you kept eating you keep losing hearts, eventually you die and lose a life, basically if you don't relize what's going on you will lose a life and possibly more lives if you do it the next time

Coming back to comment nearly a week later to day that this wildcard has been SOOOOOOO fun and good. I've seen sooo many fun drawings of everyone being small or big and I have been delighted at every one of them. I'm soo happy lol every day is like I've got all these little guys and gals to hold and put in my pocket lol I've loved the borrowers and pixie hollow and these is bringing me the warmest and funniest feelings. Double Life: yep, basically just the double life gimmick. Main difference is that two people of differing life amounts can still be paired together, which is bound to cause some chaos (especially if the highest life and lowest life player get paired lol)
Boogeyman: yep, basically just the boogeyman curse. Maybe to spice it up, if you get a boogey kill, you gain a life. to keep the wildcard more secretive, there's no announcement in chat for when the boogey is chosen, just a "you are the boogeyman" on screen.
please i agree but also are they paired to new people or old. cause i think it would be even more fun to bring back all the soulmate dous. hopefully this will get seen
@@tieliger I think that either would be cool, but there was a few people (I think just Skizz, Gem, Mumbo, and Lizzie) that weren't in DL, so they wouldn't have anybody they were previously tied to, but since its an even number of people, they could have their soulmates randomized amongst themselves!

Wild Card idea: Everyone gets jump boost for the whole session. You decide what level, but I think it would be something funny to mess around with for the first while, but then it will be a bit of a challenge to figure out how to actually play with it, because you'll constantly be hitting your head in small areas, but it'll make getting up higher like from ravines and stuff easier.
Loved the video btw! The life series antics always make me laugh so much lol, it's great to have it back!
