I bought both because as stated, they they may look physically comparable from the body, but they are completely two different trucks with different capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses
Great video !! I have both , they are both great , when I want top speed / handling the Mojave gets used . When I want scale looks / driving experience the UDR wins . The UDR is very fun the way it drifts on power and slides , but does roll over more . Love the way the long travel suspension acts / looks !!!! Also have the SBR 2.0 , which falls in the category of the UDR . That truck is an animal !!

Same i like how realistic it is and also I always loved trophy truck while growing up but I have a xmaxx 8s and a regular slash 4x4 and upgraded to vxl

Its a very unfair vs becouse.. The Arrma Mojave (independent suspension) is so amazing when speaking of driving capabilities and durability.
Without doubt the Mojave wins when value/durability/drivability is absolute🏁🏆❤
The Mojave is one of my favorite cars to drive and easily one of my most durable/reliable as well. But in terms of looks I have to give it to the UDR
All the money into my Traxxas just to make it not explode every run I'm going Arrma next time. Though I did just build a Tekno SCT410 2.0 and its a beast
I feel like the UDR would whoop on the Arrma on short course. For bashing and speed runs I guess the Arrma would be more fun. The locked rear and mad suspension travel sell me on the UDR. All you need to do is gear up for speed and no more wheelie and match or better the top speed of the Arrma. I don’t own either but seems obvious to me. The UDR looked more controllable on the dirt speed run in this vid likely due to the locked diff.
The UDR is slower than the Mojave in every possible way. A locked rear diff actually makes the UDR less stable on the track and more prone to flipping
The udr ar more controllable 🤣🤣🤣 a lease you not running fast.wirhe Mojave you can come fast make a corner and do not flip over .the udr is just more for the looks. With the Mojave you can. Send it you can run faster you can almost brake it and still alive..
@@MikeStallone yeah you so right i have both in the past 3 udrs for the looks like a real trophy truck but that's all you can see in this video how easy flip over. I like a lot but honestly you can not compare with the Mojave. That truck is a real deal. One of the best rc truck for everything right now out there.💪🏼
Apples and oranges. UDR for scale realism which, by the way, can only be appreciated if you slow down to scale speeds. Mojave for just raising heck, speed, and bashing. Stage racing and top speed runs are irrelevant.
Seems like an odd comparison. UDR compares more with a Baja Rey or SBR, I'd say, and Mojave more with the Maxx Slash. Would be great to see those compared like this.
For RC junkies, I'd recommend both types of suspension. If you are just buying one, choose between great looks or great performance.

I always hear that the UDR looks so good and scale but on video I always think the Mojave looks way better. Maybe I need to see it in person🤷♂️ I'm definitely getting the mojave EXB next because it's a proven basher.

I think the Mojave looks better in slo-mo because of the more active suspension.
Both! UDR for scale look and Mojave for performance.
UDR and Baja Rey or Super Baja Rey for me. Ive currently have the UDR and SBR. If i want a 4 wheel independent suspension, ill get out the 5ive T. The Mojave is too much like the Kraton for me to be interested in it. I bought the EXB Kraton instead of the Mojave. Mojave is to low to the ground to use it where the Kraton will go and not scale enough to take it where the UDR is used.
Honestly I agree with you for the most part but I really love the Mojave. It’s way more durable than the Kraton and so much fun to drive
Interesting... After discovering the SBR 2 I'm kind of leaning in that direction over the Mojave now. I'm not all-in yet, but if I don't get the SBR I think I'll still get the Mojave over the UDR.
Totally what kind of driving experience one prefers is the one they should get.

Why do people keep comparing these two amazing trucks as it they were the same? First the arma isn’t a trophy truck not even close. Second these two trucks have totally different chassis, driving and handling characteristics.

I have both. UDR for scale but mojave for everything else, you can kick the c##p out of it. On 6s it's mental

Differentials put the power to the wheel with the least amount of traction, you will have less traction with a diff rather than more
In a straight line, but they have more traction when cornering by far
These cars are designed for stability in off-road, desert and sandy arenas, and this is what Traxxas UDR wine with it

@@MikeStallone oh man you should see my original body im running. You can hardly see its a Mojave! My rear bumper is seriously scraped through asphalt by high speed pinion air take offs hahaha.

Yes and no. Obviously you can gear up but will it overheat every time you go out?
Typically the gearing out of the box is the “best” for bashing reliability meaning it shouldn’t overheat on you.

No way man, my udr stock reach exactly 50 mile per hour maybe because of your battery so your udr could not reach the max speed
While what you’re saying “might” be true. I used the same batteries for both cars so it’s actually just irrelevant
@@MikeStallone my batteries are 50c rate. I reached 50 mile per hour on the first try
@@rtduc8633 that’s great, but if my batteries aren’t as strong it doesn’t matter at all because the same ones were used in the Mojave. So both cars would be at the same exact disadvantage

Mojave was given a better video, why was the udr not given 3 big jumps instead of just some power slides

It's not a fair comparison You're comparing a basher to something that's supposed to be driven realistically so UDR has my vote
Top speed is useless for these cars. Off road in the dirt is where they belong. Throwing dirt and rocks is where it is at.

The UDR is coolare and looks better and more scale driving around. But it seems a lot harder to work with so I guess if you just want to drive around and have fun the Mojave is a more logical choice. But, I want them both. :)
The UDR is the best looking RC from any manufacturer, in my opinion. But from all the reviews it seems like it's all looks and no substance.
