As a teenager in the late '80s Depeche Mode really made an impact on me......especially the 101 tour and the "music for the masses" and "violator" albums......
I was in that concert one of the best i ve ever seen !! never let me down again and enjoy the silence same concert Brilliant !!! ! got 2tickets for june this year in Paris ;-)
👏👏👏👏gran reacción. Sin lugar a dudas. Una gran gira Y un gran grupo. Bravo depeche mode. Es algo más que solo música electrónica. Es pasión. Es fuerza. 😎😎😎
The members of DM look at WIMS as one of their collective favorites, a cornerstone of their catalogue and live set... I don't know that most fans feel the same. The Devotional version (again) stands out as the definitive version, by the point of the Exciter Tour (2001), Dave was still finding his legs on-stage again... and he hadn't yet converted to in-ear monitoring, so his vocals are hit and miss for sure. But he's always captivating. It's also a change from the Alan era to hear live drums on this one... definitely makes it different.
Thanks for yet another DM reaction, always the insight you have for them. Not to slight Dave in the least, but I feel like Martin carried this particular concert in many ways. I would love to see you react to one of Martin's songs in this show (this version of Home is one of my faves), or Waiting for the Night or Freelove, which feature both Dave and Martin prominently,.
The evolution was mainly due to Dave's debauchery, where he was living (LA) and what he was listening to at the time.. wanting to have a grungier sound with Songs of Faith & Devotion... I think Alan also had a big influence in the grittier / darker / more organic sound of SOFAD.
Awesome ty for the reaction...I still prefer Devotional concert ...dont like Eigner drumming ...its over the top...at this point Alan had left and their live sound was significantly comprimised
Exciter tour has some really strong moments for sure (Never Let Me Down Is Awesome) but as far as Walking In My Shoes is concerned, sorry but the Devotional version is by far superior to this one ( instrumental wise, drums, atmosphere, crowd) if you have to discover this track live. The single is awesome as well.
What a performance. Just amazing. Great choice
Great choice, this is my favourit song from Depeche Mode... D🌹M forever, thanks from Hungary 🖤🇭🇺🇭🇺🇭🇺👍
I can't get enough of your Depeche Mode reactions...
One night in Paris is definetely one of a kind live show, my 2nd favourite after the Devotional... Stay devoted peeps.

The Devotional Tour version is so much better in every aspect.
Dave sung straight through his nose in this performance. It’s one of their best studio tracks IMO.

Son needs to see the official video
The album/video version and the Devotional version are far better than this one.
Exciter version sounds like pure shitte compared to Devotional version.

Nothing else to say but Depeche Mode is IMMORTAL BAND!
