It's up there as one of my favourite DM songs so far! Thanks, I'm still trying to figure out the video, but it seems like most people have similar theories 🤔
Great reaction 👍 As a Devotee since childhood, I love to see the younger generation understanding the meaning of the music from the past... 30 years, and it still does the Job. The band number 1 for me, and will never be replaced, although thereis a lot of bands number 2 😉
Hi Toaster! So Elated you're back on the DM train! Been a fan 25+-yrs (Damn that's been a long time!) ... Love your interpretation of the song; and I'm on the same wavelength as you. Can't wait to see where you go from here! Agreed, freaky music video to me but fan-tastic song! Cheers!!
I'm glad to be back- Their sound always fills me with so much joy! And it is becoming harder and harder to choose a favourite song by DM, haha! So many timeless tunes.
I have two favourite live performances of Walking In My Shoes: 2006: "Depeche Mode - Walking In My Shoes (Live - Official Video)" 1993: "Depeche Mode / Devotional" from 18:12
Hi Toby - good to see you back with DM. The video references the work of Dutch 15th/16th Century painter Hieronymus Bosch (check it out). Nice reaction. Take care now ... 😊
Hello 😊 Thanks for the info! I'll definitely check it out considering how cool the design was in the video! Thanks for the kind words too as always 🙂 You take care too 🙏
Sure thing! I'm hoping to do 'in your room' next, so I'll try and get the studio version (might do a live version as well in the same video, who knows 😅). Thanks for the comment!
Someone said that " there are 7 "ugly" guys in the video, and every of them represent one of 7 deadly sins. It is seen who is who by their acting: 1. The tall guy on 3:38 and on 4:06 is Pride . He always looks from the top on others, with scorn and selfish smirk. Wearing black cloth, which admits his high status. 2. The guy on the right on 2:09 and 4:14 is Greed . He looks on everyone with suspicion, like everyone want to steal from him. He's two times captured with Envy. 3. Guy on 0:58 on the right and 3:41 is Glutony , cuz he's fat u know. 4. Guy on 0:58 on the left is apparently Sloth , because he's very thin which means he doesn't work and lazy. He's captured next to Glutony, apparently having something in common (laziness, inability to work). 5. Little guys on 1:46, 3:38 and on 2:09, 4:14 are Envy . Not sure why there are two Envys. They're always sad, eyes down, and jealous, because they're little, having inferiority complex. Its also interesting that one is captured next to Greedy and other next to Pride guy. One is jealous of Greedy guy's richness and other of Pride's high status. 6. Small fat guy on 0:54 and 1:51 is Anger probably. He looks pretty evil and creepy. He's captured alone. I don't see anyone fit in Anger more than him. 7. The guy on 3:54 probably Lust . Very insidious look. Don't see anyone who would fit in Lust more than him too. The main couple characters apparently are priests, but they fall to the sins, and remain in hell with the sins (3:26). Have no clue what these bird masks mean, however. "
Quite possibly my favorite DM song; such beauty and melancholy together. Been a fan for decades, so that says a lot.
Been a DM fan over 30 years now... "Walking in my Shoes" is a musical masterpice.
As for the background, I think the tower is a mention to "Babylon"

Yes! Depeche Mode are definitely timeless. And even to this day, most of their lyrics seem still extremely relevant 🔥
Saw depeche mode in New orleans live in concert. It was absolutely amazing. Depeche mode never disappoints.
I believe you are spot on with the lyrics. Glad to see you back.
Thank you, it is honestly good to be back! :)
It's good that you returned with reactions to Depeche Mode
Love this song
Yaaaaaaay your back with DM❤❤❤

El maestro wilder nos dejó aquél albúm , con esta joya y otras muchas .

A must see live versión,,,,,
Devotee till the end
Depeche Mode will be in my country in a week and a half. They will play on September 21, 23 and 25 in Mexico. The excitement and nerves are afloat.
Oh wow! I'm sure it'll be an amazing show! Will you be attending?

couldn't agree with you more regarding Dave's voice, to me personally it sounds like a darker lullabye, but in a good way
To be honest with you, I actually think you have made the best choice by opting for the official video.
Great song.

If u want to check the best live version of this song you should watch Devotional tour version then.
MM - Tour is also a great performance! What a power and intensive song… ❤DM forever
One of DM best track!! and yes Dave is hot without even trying aha
Easily one of my favourites so far!
No joke, I'm sure many people had a poster of him in their rooms 😂
Great reaction! If you want to react to a great song that has not been reacted to a lot yet, please try „Only when I lose myself“!
Thank you so much!
Sure! I'll put it on my list! I'll most likely do it after the next DM song I have planned 🙂
