MILLIE, AT 3.05 YOU SAID THAT DEPECHE MODE IS FROM THE 80'S. GUES WHAT, THEY ARE STILL TO THIS DAY HERE AND YHEY ARE CURRENTLY ON A WORLD TOUR AND THEIR 15'TH ALBUM HAS BEEN RELEASED AND WITHOUT A DOUBT, THEY ARE STILL FRESH AND GROUNDBREAKING AS EVER ! ANOTHER INTERESTING FACT FOR YOU IS THAT THEY ARE IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME ! FOR A MUSICAL JOURNEY, START WITH THEIR BLACK CELEBRATION ALBUM TILL THEIR LATEST ALBUM MEMENTO MOIRE . . . O' AND MY CAPITAL LETTER TYPING DOES NOT REPRESENT ME SCREAMING/SHOUTING ! 💟
'Personal Jesus' by Depeche Mode has been covered by a few major artists, including Johnny Cash... Marilyn Manson ... Nina Hagen... etc. 'Enjoy the silence' was covered by Italian metallers Lacuna Coil... "Stripped" was covered by Rammstein (in English! 😁) ... 🔥🔥 More Depeche Mode classics - 'Never let me down again' ... 'Policy of truth'... 'I feel you'... 'Stripped' ... "It's no good" ... 'Puppets'... 🔥🔥🔥
This song live from DM's Devotional tour is super hype and the whole crowd is jumping around. That was when DM was going threw there darkest days. Dave was struggling with his herion addiction , Martin was drinking every night on stage but during the concert when playing live they always had so much energy. Never Let Me Down Again original is an amazing tune. DM always play that song when they tour staring from 87 The Rose Bowl iin front of 80,000 fanss my favorite or from Barcelona the whole crowd gets involved when Dave gets the whole crowd to do the sea of hands wave
Personal Jesus was the first single released from the album, the album was 1990 but the single was released ahead of time, in fact the first time i heard this song was as an acoustic version they had on the single, KROQ here in LA was teasing it ahead of time with the acoustic version of the song.
Anton Corbijn directed the music video for "Personal Jesus" and is his first Depeche Mode video in color. It features the band on a ranch (suggested to appear as a brothel), filmed in the Tabernas Desert of Almería, in Spain.
This is from their Violator album. It was released in 1990, but most of it was recorded in 1989 if not all of it. This song was definitely out way before the album was released. So it´s still 80s music technically. The album was a huge success. It´s a masterpiece from start to finish.
Welcome to the rabbit hole lol. Depeche Mode and their huge catalogue would be pure joy to your ears. There are so many gems from 1980 to 2023! You should listen to « Stripped » : a huge classic and masterpiece from the band. :)
Personal Jesus is my favourite song. It was about 10 years ago i saw them in Birmingham in the U.K. Took ages to get out of the car park at the end. "Just Can't Get Enough" and " I Feel You" are great songs too.
Awesome band, I love them! I saw them live twice in my life. I hope to have the chance to see them again!! Next tune? Useless 1997. From the album Ultra! I definitely recommend it!
I'd like to suggest something random and different but very good by a band from the early 1980's called Tubeway Army, whos founder was Gary Newman who helped spearhead the new wave electronic synth era in music. I suggest watching the official UK video of his song called "Are Friends Electric". Gary Newman was more known for his hit single, "Cars", but this song I'm suggesting is more dynamic and not so rigid as his hit single is.
Bit of an odd note but apparently there’s a dance called The Personal Jesus. Or there was for my friends in school, who would spontaneously do it in the hallways before class. Depeche Mode has loads of great tracks to check out from their long career.
The Depeche Mode rabbit hole runs very deep. I’ve seen them in concert many times. My favourite band ever. Btw, the album version of this song is even better. Highly recommend checking that out.
Do more DM but for you. Everything Counts, Secret Garden, Policy of Truth, Walking in my Shoes, etc... we know them. You go have fun and if you Jam out... share that shit 🎉 (Shake the Disease is my Favorite- Hooverphonic does a great cover too! Thx)
Not, is España .
What you call the synth was... hmmm... several synths: EMS VCS3, a Minimoog, an Oberheim OB-8 synth, a Roland Space Echo, Manley amplifiers, and an ARP 2600 synth.
:)I heard Depeche Mode in 1998 and I was blown away. And now it’s interesting to observe modern children who are discovering “antiques”. I won’t say that current music is tasteless, but for some reason previous hits are better
Depeche Mode is the band that made my life. See one of their live videos... I suggest you 101 live for a start. Never Let Me down again, or the earlier stuff, like Everything Counts. Great reaction. 👍
I like this but you should hear the cover by Johnny Cash, also very good. Last album he put out before he died. It has many good covers on it. If you haven't already heard it you should also listen to Nine Inch Nails, Hurt then go and listen to Johnny Cash doing a cover of it. Trent Reznor said himself, the writer of the song. That is no longer my song. Said, that is now Johnny Cash's song.
for long period of time in this song I hear "Richard touch face". Byt only now i google lyric of this song. By the way i not a native speaker of english
You’ve covered a decent amount of music, much of it spectacular but until you’ve seen Queen, Somebody to love, live in Montreal in ‘81. You simply haven’t lived. Cornell’s AOL version of like a stone is the best version you will find. We’ll start there. React to those two and then we’ll continue your musical journey. 💜
over thirty years old. sounds like. great, if you like it. may I recommend something fresh (released two days ago), energetic, fun, full of girlpower and absolutely awesome: "Hanabie - Tousou"
I guess this would be for your other channel, but I think you'd get a laugh out of the "..but Italian" AI generated clips on the I Create A Thing channel.
I love how they look like gay cowboys, like a bathhouse dress up night-I see myself as straight but I think that’s hot. I kinda picture the location as either in Texas or the Southwest, maybe New Mexico or Arizona.
So I personally didn't go through the comments but I'm just going to add this in here LOL for a long time I thought it was about self-pleasure? LOL who doesn't teach out and touch faith lol but yeah
"Personal Jesus" is addtction to alcohol or drugs (Both Grave and Graham were addicted. One to drugs the other to alcohol). You have to know that to understand this song.
The live version of this song in Berlin is AWESOME!
Devotional tour would be my choice
The cat showing up just as the song ends was perfect!
Hahaha I know 🤣

Depeche Mode is my favorite group band in the 80s the hit song is strange love.
If you like this you should try being at a concert! Depeche Mode is a religion! A way of life!
'Personal Jesus' by Depeche Mode has been covered by a few major artists, including Johnny Cash... Marilyn Manson ... Nina Hagen... etc.

The song "Stripped or "Everything Counts" from DM's 101 tour is synth heavy. Stripped from there Devotional four is my favorite version
Personal Jesus was the first single released from the album, the album was 1990 but the single was released ahead of time, in fact the first time i heard this song was as an acoustic version they had on the single, KROQ here in LA was teasing it ahead of time with the acoustic version of the song.
I remember playing this on the college radio station I DJ'ed at when it first came out. Saw them on tour later that year. Epic

You gotta go see them live...they are touring...went in April and Im going again in November...cant wait❤❤❤
Can definitely tell they are British but this song sounds like New Wave goes Country Western with a smigit of gospel added.
Try “Walking in my shoes” next. sick beat
POLICY OF TRUTH next? 👍😍
if you`d like to hear one of their darker songs, then i highly recommend blasphemous rumours.
Personal Jesus is my favourite song. It was about 10 years ago i saw them in Birmingham in the U.K. Took ages to get out of the car park at the end. "Just Can't Get Enough" and " I Feel You" are great songs too.

Wow Millie I like your intro music that you sing you are a talented artist ! And your other band members are talented as well. Great job !
You HAVE to watch the Devotional concert!! Personal Jesus, Enjoy the Silence, etc. are their best performance ever!
I'd like to suggest something random and different but very good by a band from the early 1980's called Tubeway Army, whos founder was Gary Newman who helped spearhead the new wave electronic synth era in music. You were right the first time, video was shot in Spain. Tabernas Desert in Almería.
Hey, I recommend "Never let me down again". Especially live verison from Paris. You're gonna love it.
I still like the 101 version the best.
Thx)
El video fue grabado en españa.
From the same town where I live, we used to see them a lot in the 80's using public transport and they were very humble
On of the greatest songs, and a great reaction! Keep up beeing you
Best song by depeche mode 80's forever
I think a must for reaction is Behind the Wheel live from 101. Peak 1980s Mode. Then Strangelove.

Can I just say I love your pink devil horn head phones!
Also Depeche Mode is amazing to say the least!
Watch this one live, even better.
Very awesome music and video you played
Really suggest you check them out live...from one of their gigs...not a TV performance.
Video was filmed in the Tabernas Desert of Almería, in Spain.

The vid was shot in Spain. I've seen enough Spanish and Mexicans to know which way I was already leaning before looking it up. :)
:)I heard Depeche Mode in 1998 and I was blown away. And now it’s interesting to observe modern children who are discovering “antiques”. I won’t say that current music is tasteless, but for some reason previous hits are better
Faith!
... and don't forget "Blasphemous Rumours", "World In My Eyes", "Policy of Truth"...
Clean - it's amazing.
To have and to hold and nothing as well. Plus about 100 more
Depeche Mode is the band that made my life. See one of their live videos... I suggest you 101 live for a start. Never Let Me down again, or the earlier stuff, like Everything Counts. Great reaction. 👍
I recommend any song from album Songs of faith and devotion. That's the best for me. And then Ultra.
Straight out of Basildon, Essex, United Kingdom. My hometown
Nothing beats the devotional live versión of 1993....…!!!!!
En realidad si fue en España! En un set de cine que se usa para peliculas de vaqueros. En le Desierto de Tabernas
they have been out for long time you need to listen to enjoy the silence and People Are People
You need to check out the album version, its much longer and has an awesome outro.
"Gated reverb"? That's the effect you were trying to explain?
In my time all girls love Depeche, just insane! This is like "girls beloved band".
Take a Look at 101, a Roadmovie, following the Tour throughout the US, ending in the Rose bowl pasadena
That album is sheer perfection.
I like this but you should hear the cover by Johnny Cash, also very good. Last album he put out before he died. It has many good covers on it. Must watch live version!
It begun in the early 80ties
❤❤❤
Depeche Mode first band exploring the electronic genere is so amazing
You’ve covered a decent amount of music, much of it spectacular but until you’ve seen Queen, Somebody to love, live in Montreal in ‘81. You simply haven’t lived. Cornell’s AOL version of like a stone is the best version you will find. We’ll start there. React to those two and then we’ll continue your musical journey. 💜
Listen to: The Cars, Touch & Go. The English Beat, Save it for later. Squeeze, Cool for cats. Morrisey, There is a light that never goes out.

Yup, Video filmed on a film set in Spain. It's still there.
better add to your playlist not this (single) version but album version which is much better :)
I kont see the screen, millie. 🤣
"touch faith" to me it always sounds like "touch space".
Reach Out And Touch Faith, alcanza y toca la fe , depeche mode is the best
beautiful people was their other hit that got radio air time
Bella Song Millie, Grazie
You should try listening to the extended album version of the song, it is even better.
watch the devotional tour, the song, higher love, amazing show
te amo chiquita y amo depeche mode...un saludo desde chile
over thirty years old. sounds like. great, if you like it. may I recommend something fresh (released two days ago), energetic, fun, full of girlpower and absolutely awesome: "Hanabie - Tousou"
El video esta grapadora en Almeria España
The album version is much better, they cut it out quite heavily, leaving out for the video version one of the best electronic parts in DM's songs.
tu sabes español asi que te lo respondo, el video fue grabado en un rancho en españa
I guess this would be for your other channel, but I think you'd get a laugh out of the "..but Italian" AI generated clips on the I Create A Thing channel.
Go with live performances of DM. Devotional, live in Paris or Berlin.
Your next one should be Never let me Down live...
All the world's best bands are from America and the UK.
Let's Krak (Crack) on!!!
Hy there if you like Rammstein you must know that they do a cover of a depeche mode songcallled Stripped
I love how they look like gay cowboys, like a bathhouse dress up night-I see myself as straight but I think that’s hot.
I kinda picture the location as either in Texas or the Southwest, maybe New Mexico or Arizona.
Martin Gore was inspired... by reading Priscilla Presley's book
I had a request...never tear us apart by inxs
So I personally didn't go through the comments but I'm just going to add this in here LOL for a long time I thought it was about self-pleasure? LOL who doesn't teach out and touch faith lol but yeah
Seldom we say Touch dave
какая Мексика,это его жена
Maybe was a joke
en vivo suena mejor
"Personal Jesus" is addtction to alcohol or drugs (Both Grave and Graham were addicted. One to drugs the other to alcohol). You have to know that to understand this song.
La mejor banda del universo. El video se hizo en Almería España
This song was released in 1989... the album it was included on, Violator, was released 1990.
