      @@Anujsharma-pi1wr I use it every day at night with a heavy balm as my nighttime moisturizer. However! There are days my skin is irritated from it so I’ll skip it here and there as needed. Knowing your skin is super important on tretinoin, which I’m using now. The same goes for differin though

    I’ve been using Dermatica for almost a year now ( 0.1 tretinoin ) and I notice small differences. I noticed a bigger difference using 4% hydroquinone on melasma and hyperpigmentation.

    Recently I upgraded to 0.05. I used it every fourth day in the first month and every third day from the second month. I do use around my eyes too. Today I saw some peeling around my cheeks which I didn’t see while using 0.025. I definately seee healthy skin but not like drastic change n since I started late so no change in fineliness which I wanted rather than glowy skin n all.
    I had no breakout or sensitive skin. I thought my skin was being sensitive but it was coz of chemical sunscreen which I relaised late. Then I switched to Korean susncreen n no irritation now. Let’s see what happens next after I start using it every other day n then daily

    Wow when you showed your old videos I can definitely see such a great improvement in clarity as well as firmness your looking good handsome 👍🏽 I’m still using Retinaldehyde but prior to that I was using retinol I have noticed a difference for sure but like you said about dermatologist they do hyper vitamin A up a lot still the results are great if you are realistic I too use vitamin c and improved my spf use as well one thing that has made a huge difference is incorporating red light Infrared led collectively with vitamin a and C and spf my skin is improving

    I use as directed and now I have a bunch of expired tubes. Hopefully they still work. You are so relatable. When I got tretinoin each tube was $10 for me too! It made the really expensive student insurance almost worth it.

    Hey sweetie! I hope you are doing better. Let’s yeet that sadness to stratosphere, alright? 😂 Also, I wanted to ask you for an advice… I’ve tried using tretinoin for more than 6 months, but the redness… oh my.. couldn’t get rid of it. I use non-stripping cleanser, moisturize, wait for it to dry, apply tret and then Cicaplast baume b5 on top of it, but I still look like tomato. Darkened and red face. It’s really confusing since products sting me when tretinoin compromises my skin barrier, but they don’t sting anymore because my skin acclimated, but that redness…

      Aww I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Personally I had something similar but it only affected my neck. Stopping and using hydrocortisone cream did wonders for me. I now feel like my neck can tolerate it again, but I'm very wary to try.

It initially thinned my skin out and i looked far more gaunt but as soon as i stopped it gradually came back to normal. i think it thins the skin out more in the first year before you get that plumpness. i have just started on the 00.25 cream yesterday after 11 months without any tret

    Every time I hear about Tretinoin ...I just wonder 🤔...living in Northern Europe.....not being able to just go to a dermatologist as easy....I just wonder..... retinol products, I guess ,are not that popular around this part of the world.. at least, I never hear anybody talking about it; YET..!!!.??....We cannot buy strong versions over the counter....some brands like Avène and La Roche Posay offer some alternatives........ I ,personally, experienced too much dryness.... NOT a pleasant experience if you live in a predominantly cold climate....luckily, k beauty offers some soothing 😃😃😃... in the end, as you mentioned, sometimes using hydrating ingredients In combination with good sleep 😐....AND sunscreen makes a huge difference.... it can be challenging to figure out which product is really working ... by the way, you look great!!!

    • @frugalskin
      @frugalskin  2 года назад

      Maybe people in the north dont have as much sun damage? I assumed it was also pretty ubiquitously prescribed for acne around the globe but I shouldn't assume.
