Instead of reapplying sunscreen constantly, you might wear UPF 50+ clothing under your regular clothes. Personally, I go further by wearing a helmet with a gold visor for my head and face, but that's not necessary for everyone. A hat and sunglasses can be a great compromise. It's about finding a sustainable and practical approach that works for you. Saying that a goal is flawed because initial attempts weren't successful can lead to a defeatist attitude. It's also unhelpful to suggest that lack of sun protection is beneficial. Just because something didn't work for you initially doesn't mean the goal is wrong; it might simply require a different strategy.

Over the past 3 years, my relationship with sun protection has evolved significantly. Here’s a detailed timeline of my progression: 3 years ago: Applied chemical sunscreen to my face once after my morning routine. 2 years, 10 months ago: Switched to mineral sunscreen, applying it to my face once after my morning routine. 2 years, 6 months ago: Began applying mineral sunscreen to my face once and then every 2 hours throughout the day, unless I was indoors or it was nighttime. 2 years, 2 months ago: Expanded my routine to apply mineral sunscreen to my face, hair, lips, and body once, then reapplying every 2 hours. 1 year, 11 months ago: Purchased UPF 50+ long sleeve shirts, UPF 50+ gloves, and UPF 50+ tights, which I wear underneath my regular clothes. 1 year, 7 months ago: Added a UPF 50+ full face balaclava and UV-blocking sunglasses to my protection regimen. 1 year, 4 months ago: Got rid of the sunglasses and acquired a see-through UV-blocking face shield. I then glued the balaclava around it. 6 months ago: Invested in a helmet that covers my entire head, featuring a gold visor that blocks 99% of UVA and UVB rays. This helmet also includes a tube connected to a backpack filter, providing me with purified air. It feels great knowing that my skin is completely protected from UV and that I'm going to age dramatically slower than my peers. For reference, I am 25M.

I immediatly felt like "Estee Lauder" acted like the CIA would, american method: they just kill the one who disturbs. Of course this will never be prooved cause the americans are the best to hide their crimes 🤐... Still it seems that this brand The Ordinary is appreciated and still does good products.

Can't you dissolve the powder crystals into water first, then mix it in the cream? That way people also don't need a power drill to mix it in, and even with a power drill it may be faster with a bit of water. Also, I think, lotions are just creams that just have water for runny-consistency, so actually making your own DIY Cream version is even more cost effective than the lotion. As you may need twice as much lotion to match a cream in general, in quantity.

Isn’t the Skin Aqua waterproof? (I have t tried it yet. But thought it was?) i think you said it’s your new fave since the redesign so do you find regular cleanser removes it? Given my routine is already so long, I get lazy & avoid waterproof sunscreen so I can avoid having to double cleanse.

Does this water proof one mean you’re back to double cleansing? I’ve been wanting to try this but my skin has had so many adverse reactions to sunscreen (ironically, primarily mineral which they say is “gentler”) since going on Tretinoin 5 months ago that I’m always scared to try something new. Finally got some Jumiso SPFs. Thankfully, they didn’t leave me with what looked like the chemical burn reactions and hives I got from numerous mineral sunscreens but my skin did feel very hot to the touch that night & I didn’t even leave the house; I just wear it indoors. Did you ever have any sensitivity to mineral sunscreens when you started Tretinoin? It’s so odd that I had no reaction to Tretinoin (I started slow & use sandwich method) but it was the mineral sunscreens that did me in…without any outdoor Sun exposure. I didn’t even try US chemical sunscreens because US filters blow. Elta MD clear pilled on me & their tinted mineral UV Restore burned the skin around my eyes. At least with Stylevana if I have a reaction, I don’t lose as much money as I did with the US mineral sunscreens.

I use this sunscreen daily and have used it for my face only since last August. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m in the uk and you might have a different formulation to me, but it’s very skin like for me with the smallest amount of shine. And I use 3 full finger lengths for my face alone. I don’t actually rub it in to my skin as harshly as you do, I sort of swipe it in and it comes out perfectly. I’ve also never experienced any eye irritation. But I’m just commenting to say this is a holy grail for me for facial sunscreens and everyone should give it a go!

Hi, I get prescribed 0.025% tretinoin and 20% azelaic acid from my doctor last Thursday. It's my first time using tret and aza, and I'm also using 5% niacinamide moisturizer. I know I should'e ask this to my doctor but my next appointment is still next month. I was wondering if it's okay to combine niacinamide, azelaic acid, and tretinoin at the same time. Cuz I foget to tell my doctor about me using niacinamide moisturizer right now. And then i find your video about it.

Do you apply Tretinoin around your eyes? No dry eye symptoms?

I use adaplene and not tretnoin because it’s less irritating and I use retinol on the neck and chest and get great anti aging results

this sunscreen(old version) burns my eyes later in the day and especially if I sweat (it gets really bad then). Plus it's shiny for a while at start despite being lightweight :/ Is the new formulation any different? I went back to using round lab birch sunscreen for times I go out but it's lower value because it's 50ml only.

Eu sou brasileiro mas vivo em Portugal. Aqui eles só vendem tretinoina 0,5% sem prescrição. Caso queira valores elevadores teremos que ir ao dermatologista para que eles nos façam uma prescrição e levamos para manipular em farmácia. Isso é horrível! Eu compro tudo pela internet, pois dermatologista só serve pra sugar dinheiro. 😂 Azelaico aqui compramos na farmácia a 20%, isso é bom!

This is typical of NIVEA which is a German brand btw. The same group also owns EUCERIN. Here in the EU they have a myriad of products which are basically most of the time the same formulas. Example their crazy Q10 range. This is what they call the « washing powder » marketing strategy. Very appealing indeed !!! I do avoid avobenzone because it stings my eyes.

They get away with it for the same reason they get away with charging different prices for ‘female’ and ‘male’ products even when they’re exactly the same thing!

Mexico isn't stuck in the 90's like Canada and US in terms of sunscreen filters. You're lucky you have easy access to those filters.

I may be misremembering this, but I think ingredients below a certain (small) percentage can be listed in any order. So for those last ingredients they could be just rearranging the order without making even minor adjustments to the formula.
