I bumped into his channel because I have been passionate for years on the only really important topic there is in the health world: longevity. Bryan is my favorite person out there, because he is so transparent, and authentic, he knows he is in a privileged position to be able to take measurements and test out things, but he is in that position because he earned his way to that point through sacrifices, discipline, willpower and talent. There are people who are sending tourists around space, others who burn their fortune building weapons, he is using his earned capital for a purpose that all humans have in common, beyond race, religion, gender, location and generation. The fact that he is so much under the spotlight of critics is only a good thing, as it will make him more and more known, and ultimately the longevity tribe will grow larger and more passionate with him on this beautiful endeavor. I am a single mother of a 1-year-old baby, so I fall back on the sleep routine a bit :) yet as a yoga and fitness instructor I am such a big fan of yours Bryan!!! Your kids can only be immensely proud of you. Thank you, genuinely, for your passion which is also the passion of so many, out here!

Wow, I really only came to watch a few second but I actually ended up watching the entire 34 min video. It was such an interesting story and I also didn't expect to be so inspired at the end 😂😂
i don’t even care what you look like. the fact you can be that active with your children is just so amazing to me. my father never could do anything remotely active with me because he had such a bad heart.
My father doesn't even pay child support. My mom has to work 3 labour jobs and sleeps only 4 hours a day, to try to raise me and my brother. My Southeast Asian country almost has no law to protect women and children.
Even though he has no visible wrinkles i can just tell that he is an older person. An older person with good skin. He does not look younger than his before photo. Thats the power of human eyes and brain.
Everything about him should make me think he looks younger, but it just doesn't, he looks like a healthy 45 year old. There's some kind of uncanny valley thing going on, making him look "weird". Two parts of your brain at odds with recognising age.
The thing is, the brain works in a way where u can now never see him as younger again. You got the confirmation that hes older in the "after" picture, so your brain tailors your views to that information which you know are true. It's confirmation bias. It's deeply rooted into our psychology. I do think he looks younger. But not necessarily better, men typically look a lot better when they are a little older typically so it makes sense to me atleast.
It's the reduction of the youthful fat pads in the face. We all lose those dramatically as we age. Weight loss shrinks them even more until they're practically non-existent. Our eye can discern...
Ive been lucky to meet Bryan in person, he is one of the warmest and kindest people you will ever meet. The hate he receives misses the entire point. Hes doing this for the betterment of humanity and so that people can avoid the pain he had to go through.
when he mentioned AI, though, involving the human brain, I almost threw up. The draw of humanity is difference. Everyone being the same is very Mormon-like, robot-like, a complete dystopia. Sharing a culture is a good thing, but individuals and also society cannot grow if they aren't allowed to try new things, make mistakes, and think/do for themselves.
He claimed to be vegan but supplemented with animal products plain to see to this day on YT videos on TV coverage Segments about him. See for yourself. There was ( justifiable) outcry about that. Personally, I don’t begrudge anyone animal products. We need some to have optimal health. If he stays or switched to pure vegan he will lose more hair and eyebrows, stay pale with that hollow eyed look and age more rapidly. Here’s the thing, if you are trying to get others on board FULL disclosure. How many people can afford his program?
@@HearturMind I've been vegan for 12,5 years and am not sick nor pale, and I have strong, full, long, healthy hair and full eyebrows, and am not hollow-eyed looking. I'm healthy, and only regret not going vegan earlier.
I understand this man so much more. He really has a story to tell. He represents stages that we all go through. If you watch the whole video, you will likely find yourself speaking.
I must have missed my childhood and adulthood then. Couldn't find myself in his story at all. Honestly from my perspective, he was rather weak person in the beginning, but then try to rise above that weakness. I identify having weaknesses myself, and needing to rise above them. But that's not enough for me to recognise myself in this video. Curious though, what part of the video did resonate with you? For me it was that he started taking more control and it got better.
This is perhaps my favorite video you have ever released. Gives great context for your motivations with Blueprint. Plus it was refreshing to hear someone discuss their life with vulnerability
Bryan could correct me if I'm wrong (after all I'm far far from an expert), but I assume he also avoids excessive UV radiation, as such his skin will naturally be paler. Tanning for example is in general exceptionally unhealthy. Excessive tanning is deadly. And I'm sure his experience in Ecuador definitely helped him realize how brutal the sun can be. Obviously avoiding the sun entirely is also unhealthy as it helps us produce vital vitamins etc, but I assume with how much Bryan is min-maxing his health he'll be avoiding dangerous UV radiation as much as possible. Did you know that pale skin historically used to be a sign of beauty? For it meant you didn't have to work in the sun. But yes part of it is also the clinical lighting, just wanted to share my thoughts.
Whenever I feel down, I go on a 2 or 3day hike. Sleeping outdoors on a mat. It‘s a purely mental thing, not for physical exercise. Always restores my mind and puts the things I worry too much about back in perspective:) I do work out for physical reasons too but the hiking is not physical exercise to me because I don‘t feel physically exhausted from it. After 1-2 hrs of walking, I‘m in a flow and can go on until the sun goes down. Then I put my mat down on on beautiful spot, looking at the sky and soon get asleep. In the morning I‘m at total inner peace & continue my hike. Love it!!!
“It is solved by walking”. As the wise man said long ago. When I was going through a hellish time, I would put off the intrusive torturous thoughts and tell myself I would allow them on my hikes. There was a 4 mile uphill hike and I would cry and grieve on the way up as much as I wanted- and I was always calm by the time I reached the summit and could be at peace looking at the sky and the view. The ocean used to be that place for me but it’s too far now. Sleeping on the ground might be important too- maybe I should look into that.
Maybe so many people walk around looking sick and fat , that we just don't know what a super healthy human looks like. I drive 600 miles a day for a living. I was a little overweight and had gout and I struggled with skin problems. I started weight training and running every morning. Also started only putting foods my body needed instead of foods I wanted. I am 6'3 and 195lbs at 12% body fat. I feel like I am in my 20's again! Brian, thank you for helping me learn how to take care of myself!!
That reminds me of the scene in Captain Fantastic when the children go into civilization after growing up in the woods. They think there is something wrong with the people walking by.
Thank you for the video. It’s bringing hope for me. I’m 29, I’m depressed, all my life is failure. Don’t know how to make even average money. Moved to US 9 months ago from Ukraine have issued after the military service in the war, the USA seems like rejecting me and i feel completely useless. Those kind of biographies gives me hope. Easily fixed. Your english is very good. Step1. Go to Austria on 1st of December, find a job in any hotel which provides free accomodation and food (very easily found + they are desperate for workers, especially in the mountain parts of the country where people are skying). The easily accessible jobe are always available, like a room cleaner, dish washer, helping waiter, helping cook, etc. Step2. Make 2500-3000 euros every month without having to spend any of it. Step3. Congratulations, you've beaten your depression.
Everyone give Bryan Johnson an applause! After watching the entire video, I now understand him better. He is a great guy. He went through a lot in life, but his effort to contribute to humanity by sacrificing himself and his time to show us some of the things we can do in our daily lives to be younger is truly impressive and deserves total respect. At least we don't have to spend $2 million dollars a year to experts on how to get younger when Bryan is forking over that bill and then giving us all the discoveries that many of us don't know about.
He is selling a course too, RUclips revenue + Blueprint products, he may still be sacrificing his body and looks but this brings him money too, much much more than what he spends

Wow! just started viewing some of your other Vids the other day and was teeter tottering on what category you presented yourself to me in my mind, after watching this Vid and am so grateful for it. I am much older, single, I wanted the most out of life was to have children and never did, and still trying to find myself in this world, my purpose? but here is encouragement and strength to go on and grateful you shared this for people like myself to see.
The very best stories describe how young Bryan helped his parents. He wrote letter(s) of love and encouragement to his Dad struggling with drug addiction. It helped save his fathers life. Also young Bryan made a deal with the lunchroom staff where he'd clean the dining area after lunch in exchange for a stale croissant and especially so the school wouldn't cash his Mom's check saving her money. That is real love.
One thing I think that cannot be seen in photos is your optimism. Whether that is from your diet, general mindfulness, or stress-reduction, you ~sound~ optimistic, and understanding of yourself, your future, and your past. Thank you for sharing your journey, Bryan!
The hate for this man needs to be studied. Most down to earth person doing everything in his power not only to grant himself happiness, meaning and worth, but to attempt to gift it to everyone else. Keep going Bryan, What you are doing is inspiring the best of us.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I was a Bryan Johnson “hater” at one point, yet I had never watched any of his content or videos, just had seen various tweets hating on him. One day, some video of his popped up on my feed and I decided to watch out of curiosity. It only takes one video to realize that Bryan is an incredibly humble, compassionate, motivated person with a genuine interest in, well, living forever! I have a feeling that that is the case for many people who hate on him, they are simply ignorant, and it’s much easier to judge and assume rather than to be curious.
He's just some dude spending a huge amount of money and making his whole life about reversing aging and he just looks like he's in his 40's - 50's... which he is. It's the same thing people have been doing forever... looking for the fountain of youth. Sorry... it doesn't exist. If nothing else, the Sun will explode eventually or we'll all die in the heat death of the universe. Maybe try to enjoy the time you have instead of spending every minute trying in vain to look 5 minutes younger.

I can’t imagine not doing blueprint; just letting yourself age, decay and lose muscle mass all inevitably is so horrifying. I can’t understand why people accept this
because its part of life? because there is more to life than having a face that looks lifted? because living healthy involves laughing and enjoying your time with family and friends and sharing meals? you can be healthy while doing all of these things. Health means balance. and blueprint is just not applicable for most people.

I have been really sceptical about our behaviour, habits and the impact of them on our health. When I got interested in cell biology last year it made no sense to me that we aged. Cause giving the time and resources cells do recover a bit they just have to be in the right state / get the chance. It is what I believe or suspect to be possible. I talked with a friend of mine about it and he introduced me to your channel and protocol. Thank you for trying this and sharing it Bryan. I have been trying to incorporate some of it in my life where I can. Sleep especially!!!
Wow!! I did not expect my own reaction to this presentation! You’re freaking amazing! So geeky, entrepreneurial, humble and strong willed. Do not stop!
I must say that as a father and in the same age bracket - the most things I admire and appaIad here in this video are: transparency, honesty, positivity and open-mindedness in Bryan's journey as the explorer without pretending he knows everything, instead being open, brave, positive and explore the new biological subject and b) most powerful to me and resonates with me as I am building a great friendship and spend time with my daighter after a very painful divorce, so the most heartwarming thing for me is Bryan's time and camaredery and ork together with his son, that quality time together, father and son, beatiful and priceless. Well done and best of luck!
really appreciate your candidness here, moving through depression is hard...I am still continuing with depression, but your work here is helping, Thanks again mate.
Bryan, when you made all that money from the sale of your company is when you started to look and probably feel awesome. Worrying about money will wreck most people.. Aging is first caused by worry, stress, not being happy, junk foods, over eating and little exercise. You're a lucky and blessed guy!

This video really did pop into my feed at the right time for me. Religion and details aside, your life story so far sounds like much of mine, right up to the point of trying to weigh my self-worth on the scales and nothing registering. It is so life-affirming to hear another person's story in such raw terms that reflects my own situation back to me. Thanks for your candor!
You've gone through a restless journey, and we can tell you put a lot of effort to be where you are now, so congratulations! You are an amazing and inspiring person :) I hope you continue to enjoy life, surrounded by people you love. And remember that no matter what you do or what you go through, there will always be someone you can count on, and that person is you.
Bryan, those are the most enlightening 34.36 minutes. It's not simply a matter of transformation. It's rock hard discipline and in your case, science based data. What an exciting new world. Thanks
I don't think so. Not to be mean but it looks like something that a 13-year-old would wear so it makes him look old and tacky. I somehow think really light colors wash him out too, maybe because he's pale.
Guys it was a JOKE, yes it's a fun childlike t-shirt, that was my point. One of Bryan's best attributes (imo) is his self amusement and self expression, his posts and some of his clothes encapsulates this. I'm pretty sure he couldn't give hoots whether anyone thinks it looks cringey, or immature. If you wanna live a happier life I recommend you use his outlook as inspiration. Who knows, maybe not writing bitter posts on the Internet might even make you look younger too! 😃
The longevity stuff I can take or leave, but what I really like is how you play with your appearance. To me, that is true youth. Not taking yourself too seriously, having a real sense of play, thinking creatively.
I actually really love what Bryan is doing. I wish him the best on his endeavors, and look forward to learning more. I'm 44 right now, and currently realizing I really need to step up my health game so I can feel better.

Wow, I really only came to watch a few second but I actually ended up watching the entire 34 min video. It was such an interesting story and I also didn't expect to be so inspired at the end 😂😂
Me too
i don’t even care what you look like. the fact you can be that active with your children is just so amazing to me. my father never could do anything remotely active with me because he had such a bad heart.
He looks more feminine is all I can say
Being rich and being able to generate a lot of passive income gives you a lot of time to spend with people.
My father doesn't even pay child support. My mom has to work 3 labour jobs and sleeps only 4 hours a day, to try to raise me and my brother. My Southeast Asian country almost has no law to protect women and children.
❤
Even though he has no visible wrinkles i can just tell that he is an older person. An older person with good skin. He does not look younger than his before photo. Thats the power of human eyes and brain.
The way one carries themself can also affect the age people perceive them to be.
Everything about him should make me think he looks younger, but it just doesn't, he looks like a healthy 45 year old. There's some kind of uncanny valley thing going on, making him look "weird". Two parts of your brain at odds with recognising age.
Agreed.
He claimed to be vegan but supplemented with animal products plain to see to this day on YT videos on TV coverage
Segments about him.
@@genkiferal7178 Exactly! 👍👍👍

I think if your hair wasn't as dark it wouldn't make your skin look so pale. Your natural color complements your skin tone better.
came here to say just this!
@@tombo1001 Me too! The one tone dark shade is quite 'flat'. Something lighter with some high/low lights would be complementary. :-)
One hundred percent! 😊
One hundred. The dark hair needs to go.
Man you just gotta love this guy. I love how transparent and genuine you are. Thank you for your service.
From wanting to die to wanting to live forever is such a huge leap. What an inspiring journey!
Well, he sold his company for $800 million. Life is great when you are rich.
Whenever I feel down, I go on a 2 or 3day hike. Sleeping outdoors on a mat. It‘s a purely mental thing, not for physical exercise. Always restores my mind and puts the things I worry too much about back in perspective:)
I do work out for physical reasons too but the hiking is not physical exercise to me because I don‘t feel physically exhausted from it.
I just adore this guy. He's so nice, transparent and I love his attitude. This is also one of my comfort channels. A Bryan video cheers me up.

How do you know all this?

It only takes one video to realize that Bryan is an incredibly humble, compassionate, motivated person with a genuine interest in, well, living forever! I have a feeling that that is the case for many people who hate on him, they are simply ignorant, and it’s much easier to judge and assume rather than to be curious.

I have been really sceptical about our behaviour, habits and the impact of them on our health. When I got interested in cell biology last year it made no sense to me that we aged.
