Bryan, this is an odd take, but consider some low sitting lights, lamps, & non-minimalist decor to add life & soul to your home/videos. I think the whole “brian looks sick” comes from the lighting in your videos which reminds the viewers of a hospital.

I bumped into his channel because I have been passionate for years on the only really important topic there is in the health world: longevity. Bryan is my favorite person out there, because he is so transparent, and authentic, he knows he is in a privileged position to be able to take measurements and test out things, but he is in that position because he earned his way to that point through sacrifices, discipline, willpower and talent. There are people who are sending tourists around space, others who burn their fortune building weapons, he is using his earned capital for a purpose that all humans have in common, beyond race, religion, gender, location and generation. The fact that he is so much under the spotlight of critics is only a good thing, as it will make him more and more known, and ultimately the longevity tribe will grow larger and more passionate with him on this beautiful endeavor. I am a single mother of a 1-year-old baby, so I fall back on the sleep routine a bit :) yet as a yoga and fitness instructor I am such a big fan of yours Bryan!!! Your kids can only be immensely proud of you. Thank you, genuinely, for your passion which is also the passion of so many, out here!

You got the confirmation that hes older in the "after" picture, so your brain tailors your views to that information which you know are true. It's confirmation bias. It's deeply rooted into our psychology. I do think he looks younger. But not necessarily better, men typically look a lot better when they are a little older typically so it makes sense to me atleast.

Bryan could correct me if I'm wrong (after all I'm far far from an expert), but I assume he also avoids excessive UV radiation, as such his skin will naturally be paler.
Tanning for example is in general exceptionally unhealthy. Excessive tanning is deadly. And I'm sure his experience in Ecuador definitely helped him realize how brutal the sun can be.
Obviously avoiding the sun entirely is also unhealthy as it helps us produce vital vitamins etc, but I assume with how much Bryan is min-maxing his health he'll be avoiding dangerous UV radiation as much as possible.
Did you know that pale skin historically used to be a sign of beauty? For it meant you didn't have to work in the sun.
But yes part of it is also the clinical lighting, just wanted to share my thoughts.

Whenever I feel down, I go on a 2 or 3day hike. Sleeping outdoors on a mat. It‘s a purely mental thing, not for physical exercise. Always restores my mind and puts the things I worry too much about back in perspective:)
I do work out for physical reasons too but the hiking is not physical exercise to me because I don‘t feel physically exhausted from it. After 1-2 hrs of walking, I‘m in a flow and can go on until the sun goes down. Then I put my mat down on on beautiful spot, looking at the sky and soon get asleep. In the morning I‘m at total inner peace & continue my hike. Love it!!!

“It is solved by walking”. As the wise man said long ago.
When I was going through a hellish time, I would put off the intrusive torturous thoughts and tell myself I would allow them on my hikes. There was a 4 mile uphill hike and I would cry and grieve on the way up as much as I wanted- and I was always calm by the time I reached the summit and could be at peace looking at the sky and the view. The ocean used to be that place for me but it’s too far now.
Sleeping on the ground might be important too- maybe I should look into that.

Maybe so many people walk around looking sick and fat , that we just don't know what a super healthy human looks like. I drive 600 miles a day for a living. I was a little overweight and had gout and I struggled with skin problems. I started weight training and running every morning. Also started only putting foods my body needed instead of foods I wanted. I am 6'3 and 195lbs at 12% body fat. I feel like I am in my 20's again! Brian, thank you for helping me learn how to take care of myself!!

Go to Austria on 1st of December, find a job in any hotel which provides free accomodation and food (very easily found + they are desperate for workers, especially in the mountain parts of the country where people are skying). The easily accessible jobe are always available, like a room cleaner, dish washer, helping waiter, helping cook, etc.

He went through a lot in life, but his effort to contribute to humanity by sacrificing himself and his time to show us some of the things we can do in our daily lives to be younger is truly impressive and deserves total respect. At least we don't have to spend $2 million dollars a year to experts on how to get younger when Bryan is forking over that bill and then giving us all the discoveries that many of us don't know about.

It only takes one video to realize that Bryan is an incredibly humble, compassionate, motivated person with a genuine interest in, well, living forever! Bryan, those are the most enlightening 34.36 minutes. It's not simply a matter of transformation. It's rock hard discipline and in your case, science based data. What an exciting new world. Thanks

I don't think so. Not to be mean but it looks like something that a 13-year-old would wear so it makes him look old and tacky. I somehow think really light colors wash him out too, maybe because he's pale.

Guys it was a JOKE, yes it's a fun childlike t-shirt, that was my point. One of Bryan's best attributes (imo) is his self amusement and self expression, his posts and some of his clothes encapsulates this. I'm pretty sure he couldn't give hoots whether anyone thinks it looks cringey, or immature. If you wanna live a happier life I recommend you use his outlook as inspiration. Who knows, maybe not writing bitter posts on the Internet might even make you look younger too! 😃

The longevity stuff I can take or leave, but what I really like is how you play with your appearance. To me, that is true youth. Not taking yourself too seriously, having a real sense of play, thinking creatively.

Bryan , I am an aspiring entrepreneur , going through something similiar as you did . 28 yo father , soon to be separated from my wife... Focused on well-being and fitness , sometimes anxious about how my life will hit me sooner or later, but I see you as a great example on how to turn a life around and overcome any obstacle .
Thank you Bryan, wishing you lots of success, love and happiness on your journey.

This reminds me of the lyrics of a song I loved years ago: "Cardboard masks of all the people I've been." I relate to much of it, for example gaining 20 pounds overnight in my first semester at college, and in later years my glamour photos where you couldn't tell I was in the midst of depression. It's also touching how you shared this openly and peaceably after what I gather were not always kind comments. Wishing you continued happiness and health!
