He could have kept all of that to himself, instead of publishing his protocols for free snd being upfront about his mistakes, if he didn't care about benefiting society at all.
@@TalkingWithDocs You are not trying to keep it real. Get rid of the scrubs and wear normal clothing. An emotional appeal to authority is sad, but I guess with how dumbed down our society has become, you got to do this to get views rather than discuss the science. I prefer someone like Dr. Gil Carvalho, who actually is keeping it real, but I understand that others fall for gimmicks and don't like science.
I give the guy credit for being a guinea pig and testing all sorts of possible solutions for better health. Odds are, the better your health, the longer you will live. Perhaps the guy will actually discover something (if he hasn’t already) that helps others live a healthier, longer, more fulfilling life.
Bryan Johnson is spending his own time and money to evaluate what works for him. He is providing some interesting information about health and longevity. His message / focus on excellent sleep, exercise, stress reduction and eating healthy are things we all should focus more on.
Shame he’s wasting his money and life doing this, when he dies his experiment won’t be taken seriously by the medical industry as it’s a test on only 1 person with multiple variables.
You often hear, why is he afraid of dying, we all die - Always said by a young person, but when your youth is gone, for many of us when we realise our mortality and death is getting closer, we start doing all we can to live longer and healthier. Life really is too short once your youth is gone...
Yes, it's very easy to say when you're young. Life stretches out before you endlessly and you often don't need to do anything to take care of your health. You can booze up one night and 24 hours later, you're fine. When you hit middle age, you start to hear the clock ticking. That's when you start to wish they had a pill or injection that could give you more time, more youth, for longer. It's easy to lose a decade here or there, to health crises, career or relationship crises, this, that or the other thing. And you wish you could be in your 20s or 30s for twice the time that you get. Maybe researchers will succeed in our lifetimes. Maybe they won't. But they will eventually, and I think that will be a good thing. My parents are in their 70s and say that it feels like a joke that you spend 40 years getting good at something, and then you get old. Yeah. It is a cosmic joke.
Congrats to The Docs on reaching 850, 000 subscribers! Well deserved. Great channel! And unlike so much social media, you are actually talking facts and helping people.
Ny grandfather was a golf pro and golfed until he was in his early 90's. He lived until he was 96. He fell, got pneumonia, was hospitalized and told his physician to just let him go. He told all of us he was tired and trying to stay healthy was in itself a deterrent to the quality of life. He smoked, never drove but walked to work, ate bacon and eggs almost every morning, and got ridiculed by neighbors for having black friends. My father also said several times, when he was in his mid eighties, getting old is hard work. He passed away in his mid eighties. I am in my mid 70's and I can relate to their mindset.. Though I am healthy, the quality of life becomes different, and feels like there is a different ache or pain every week, and mental changes. Should one really attempt to prolong aging and will they really end up with a better quality of life? Those that have had near-death experiences all have said there is nothing to fear and no one should be scared of dying. They indicated what they experienced was better than life on earth.
mmm. I had my near death at 41 when i rolled a Cherokee at highway speed on frozen ground, hitting an hillside. Quite the jolt-- The slide after that made me realize i might not make it. It was THE worst most ineffable (indescribable) awareness i've ever had (and i'm a reasonably observant and sensitive person but also have ability to block all sorts of things out). I would NOT recommend dying before you absolutely positively must! I HAd lived life fairly, kindly, BUT i had not given myself enough benefit of things, and benefit of others. Again, i dn't recommend dying. Also i was raised catholic, yet when my mother died i had the most profound sense there was no afterlife, no nothing. I sensed that later when i almost died. The ONLY statistical gamble we should make is to live life as if it's the only existence we'll have. That's how love works, at least how it works if we want deep love that is fully aware and thoughtful.
In NDE their brain is still active, otherwise they could not come back. Bacon and eggs is probably fine, but it may be contingent on low processed carbs, cause that's when cholesterol is dangerous, I'm prob saying something obvious, but never know. I don't know what diets you three guys have had, but I want to share this, in the five blue zones with the most centenarians, their diets are 95% plant based whole foods, in sardina they probably have a higher rate of animal intake. But the point is, these people are still active at 100. Point I'm saying, maybe it doesn't have to be a pain to age and stay healthy. Joint pain and aches are not completely independent from diets. Also walking only in old age, isn't enough to sustain leg muscles, just wanna say. Because muscle mass loss is kinda exponential over the years. In Japan I saw a case of a triathlete who's over 90 that was being studied on, he sustained his muscle mass so well he still does marathons.
@@18_rabbitnear death experience is when the person is specifically in a coma of some sort. They tend to experience things within that, like walking through a tunnel or whatever. And you're right to not assume an afterlife. It's an unreasonable opinion. I'm christian, but if we don't have hints of an afterlife, I don't focus on it. May I go further and say there's not free will either 😂 For me that's beneficial in fact. Helps me ignore my own will better as it's just the environments influence over years. Also free will requires your brain to rely on non worldly variables. Like the weather can influence itself, but fundamentally relies on initial conditions, as all the variables are earthly. Furthermore will power is the ultimate thing to pay attention to, as that undermines our executive power, and it relies on the midcingulate cortex, staying in comfort shrinks it and weakens our will.
I watch my 91 year old mother lose the love of her life 20 years ago, her siblings and all her friends because she’s outlived all these people who mattered in her life. Her youngest is dying of lung cancer. I’m thinking when it’s my time I will be okay and enjoy my time & hopefully leave my part of the world a little better. I think his regiment is so rigid I don’t understand how he stops to smell the earth before or after a rainfall or the beauty of raindrops on a rose petal etc. I do that & make sleep a priority, healthy eating & portions habits, exercise body & brain & I love my community. Bottom line if that brings him joy Que sera sera.
I agree. Outliving everyone you’ve ever loved could be trauma to say the least. I am relatively young and healthy, but I’m trying to come to terms with my eventual death. Dying will be my last great life event. I want to be prepared and do it well. By that I mean acceptance, grace, and gratitude for the life I was allowed to enjoy. Like the Harry Potter scene: the Deathly Hallows tale where the one brother, at the right time, took death’s hand and walked into the abyss. To me, that sounds better and more peaceful than thrashing around trying to escape inevitable death.
He has made this altruistic path his because it's given him a great purpose after having been depressed and on the verge of s*ic*de. He's talked about this in some of his earlier videos.
I’d watch these doctors again. They’re not outright slamming Bryan. They’re open minded enough to acknowledge what they think are good ideas. And giving good reasons for the things they don’t think are good ideas.
I watched the doc. Is it me, or does Bryan Johnson not look right? There's something weird, pasty, and unnatural about his skin, like Data from Star Trek: TNG. He looks artificial. Maybe that's just how he is, but I've never seen anyone that looks quite like that.
Yes, with all of the cosmetic work, he has had to his face. It does look unnatural but there are lots of people walking around that have had Botox or filler that don’t look natural. This is not new. Whatever makes you happy.
He dyes his hair and does a lot of cosmetics so trying to cover up his aging. Just eat grass fed ribeye and pastured raised eggs. I know a lot of carnivores that look way better than him but again Bryan is at least taking his health in his own hands. Doctors are controlled by the medical mafia so unless RFK Jr can do anything Doctors will never be able to practice by their oath.

My Aunt lived to 102 or 103 and at 100 yrs. Old she couldnt understand why she was still alive as all her friends had died, and many family members. She was way ready to die.
I’m in my late 60s but have a couple of friends who are over 100 years old. Even with family and friends around they tell me living that long isn’t what they prefer. But they’re both grateful to have younger friends in their life.
MORE excellent content from these 2 Docs.....so appreciated. I hadn't seen the documentary. I respect Johnson's efforts. I did notice a conspicuous low-dosage of Omega-3's in his supplement regime, which is contrary to guidance from most health/longevity experts. However, I believe there's something to be learned from everyone so I'll likely watch the documentary. Thanks again for your very informed perspectives......extremely valuable.

Hello, I remember when my dad turned 72 years old...he looked at me and said...living a long life is bad for your health ;-) if you live it long enough it will kill you..nobody gets out alive lol. Great video by the way. Cheers!
I know so many people who aren’t truly living-they’re just existing. Whether it’s drinking alcohol, sitting in front of the TV all day, or focusing solely on work without finding real purpose, that isn’t fully living. It’s not just Bryan Johnson; it’s all of us. But Bryan is taking a different approach-he’s not just trying to live longer; he’s trying to live better. He’s sharing his results freely, showing us what’s possible when we prioritize health and vitality. How many of us truly make each day count? Do we live as if today could be our last, while also planning for a future worth living? True living is about quality, not just quantity-but that doesn’t mean indulging in excess or eating and drinking your life away. It means optimizing your time, your body, and your mind, striving to get the most out of life and inspiring others to do the same. Don't Die
@ Like most people, he wants to be healthier and live longer, but his lifestyle is hardly better or more enjoyable. How TF is living such a regimented, strict lifestyle better? You’re full of it. The vast majority of people in the planet would not consider that lifestyle better liv8ng.
I completely understand where you're coming from. It's so easy to fall into routines that feel like 'existing' rather than 'living.' Bryan's approach is definitely inspiring-he's showing us that it's not just about extending life but about improving the quality of it. It makes me reflect on my own choices and how I can be more intentional about prioritizing health and finding purpose. Have you tried implementing any of his practices into your own life? I'd love to hear how it’s working for you!
Bryan focuses on what personally interests and benefits him, sharing his experiences openly with others. Sponsoring a clinical trial would likely mean covering hefty salaries and large operational costs for administrative staff, which may not align with his priorities or interests
Thanks for the Netflix tip. Intriguing. Also recommend watching Jay Shetty’s interview with him. The duo presentations certainly give a fuller picture of a complex, disciplined individual with a complicated back story. Thanks again!!
Fantastic video! I watch Bryan Johnson and think he’s a cool guy. Was pleasantly surprised with the differing views between the two of you and how you showed both sides of the coin. Bryan seems like he means well but his scientific experiment isn’t very rigorous. On the other hand, just from a find out what’s possible perspective, it seems like a valuable piece of data. Even from just 1 person we can learn a lot. Hopefully he finds exciting things that can be explored more rigorously in the future and can truly benefit us all.
Have you seen the doc? He's seemingly happier than he's ever been. Leads me to believe that we over-weigh the momentary pleasure of some foods, late-night experiences and under-weigh the more consistent joy-limiting effects of those foods/behaviors.
I think people can’t fathom giving up their vices to such a degree that they convince themselves that anyone who can must be miserable (and stupid) lol
I have not watched it, but I am familiar with him. I really found it interesting, in a positive way, that you did this video discussing him/documentary. His intents, based on what he has shared in words, are indicative of an extreme fear of aging, moreover death. I'm older, hell I'm just old, but extremely happy in this moment - not rich, maybe in the people around me, wife, kids, and...dog. I am not qualified to make an assessment on purpose or reason. I do believe there are underlying issues...thanks again from ATX.

Now as i understand these things i will love to live upto 130 atleast so that i can tell myself that i got back those years that I've lost Don't see everyone same, loneliness won't be a problem for me as I'm already really really lonely and still trying to enjoy my life... I think what truly triggers people is not that he is trying to live longer. It is that in order to do so, he is rejecting most of the social norms people live by. A lot of what people consider "human". And it is, in a way, a rejection of their way of life. So, people feel that they are being told "the way you live is incorrect, it has always been". His discipline threshold for delayed gratification is high. Other than that, I am not sure why people get so angry about it. I personally found a lot of joy from exploring my own body and what it can do. As a sort of game where I can push some limits bit by bit. It is a bit like exploration, and constant learning. I think that is what he enjoys, and how he can do what he does.
Bryan is ahead of the curve. Doctors only preach old science... modern medicine takes 10 years to catch up which some people can't wait for. Thank you Bryan

I lost 28 kg since 2020 (I was pretty fat and lazy) and now I look 10 year younger at 40
I reduced my participation in potentially dangerous activities. This includes minimizing the time I drive. Also, my driving has improved as I watch my speed and focus on attention, watching a road ahead of me and signs. Even though I am 55 I realize these skills have to be renewed with active attention on a regular basis. Last thing is eating very healthy. To me it’s the most important thing.
People underestimate how dangerous driving is especially on the freeways. They do this because we do it so often. When I used to go skydiving I was very aware of the fact that the trip to the Drop Zone was more likely to cause injury or death than my parachute jump
I maintain a healthy lifestyle-I eat well, exercise regularly, and ensure I get good sleep. Yet, despite all this, I live with Lynch Syndrome, which significantly increases my risk of colon cancer. I've lost two brothers and my mother to it, and my sister is currently fighting her own battle. However, after 28 colonoscopies and at 57 years old, I'm still here. While I can't change my genes, I can take proactive steps like regular colonoscopies to stay ahead of it.
Doc's, thanks for the review of the show. I watched it last night with fascination. There was some sadness in that his journey for youth made it difficult to meet another partner. I think he is glad he has a close relationship with one son and with his father which fulfils that primal need. Positive takeaways are the focus on nutrition and exercise for health. But this journey comes at a price (not in a monetary sense).
I love, love your sense of humor, but above all your non-judgmental demeanor. I watched it and I found the documentary to be very interesting. Thank you for the video.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback. We think our world needs less judgment. This guy is on his own journey and it is very different from most peoples but at the end of the day if it makes him happy that’s a good thing.
Check out the chapter in Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers about the town of Roseto in PA. The story of the immigrants who lived long, healthy lives despite poor diets. He describes how physician Stewart Wolf discovered that the people of Roseto were remarkably healthy and had low rates of heart disease, despite not having particularly healthy diets or lifestyles. Wolf concluded that the secret to their health was not individual factors, but rather the strong community and family-oriented culture of the town. A healthy lifestyle is important but may not be the base of the longevity pyramid if there is such a thing. Even in blue zones you can see lifestyle is part of a community.
Malcolm Gladwell is Canadian and lived a couple hours from us. Great author with so many good books. That’s a great point and why social connection is one of the pillars of health
Community and connection is important, but the lifestyles within that community/individuals are way more important. For example if you have a community that bonds over six beers a day and tv v. one that bonds over kale and a walk after dinner...
Think this is a weird assumption to have that he just blast pills. Seen him talking about taking things in and out of the stack, and talking about risk reward a lot. apparently hes been doing this for years before he started to film. Seems like his business partner lead him in to the social media light. And yes you cant never trust influencers since they have something to gain from it so I'm a bit skeptical too.
I love the break down here gentleman. I agree that people shouldn’t hate on someone pursuing health. Supplements to improve longevity seems less risky than being stuck on pharmaceutical drugs that don’t help root cause. 😊
I'm glad you are covering this. I had watched something about this individual before, but not this docu' you guys are talking about. I'm on a bone density, cartridge building, osteoarthritis, Neuroplasticity / never growth factor experiment.

meanwhile in the RW I am watching this eating a bowl of potatoe chips after eating a plate of spegettii with processed frozen meatballs and drinking a beer at age 65? Gues that makes me a dead man walking :((((
I have watched Bryan on RUclips. He is interesting and while what he is doing is extreme, the basic message is eat well, exercise and have a network good people.
Agree with your comments re Bryan Johnson! For longevity, especially as you age, you can be too fat, you can be too thin BUT you can never be too strong 😊 Keep up the great work gents
I am 69 and have been doing an experiment most of my adult life. I get a lot of exercise and have what most people would consider a poor diet. I eat what I want which includes a lot of carbs and processed foods. Early in my 20s I read a book by Dr. Kenneth Cooper called aerobics. It called for being able to run 1 1/2 miles in 12 minutes as a benchmark. I achieved that quickly then. Even ran a marathon once and thought that would be the first of many but training for a marathon ended up being hurt for me. But I still ran 1 to 3 miles a day for decades. Played basketball until I was 62. But now my orthopedic doctor tells me that I only walk I won't ever need a knee replacement but if I run much I will. So, I walk 3 miles a day most days before the sun comes up. Bench press up to 175. Broke my elbow playing basketball and if I go heavier the elbow starts clicking. By the way Dr. Cooper is still alive in his mid 90s. Jack Lalane lived into his 90s. Both their wives lived into their 90s. I think they knew what they were talking about. I only get about 6 hours of sleep a night but usually get another hour napping.
@@AaronCorcoran1 I do ride a bike a few miles a day. Failed to mention it. For some reason swimming hurts my shoulders. I have never been a good swimmer.
If it makes him happy - go for it. It’s not a practical way of life for us mere mortals but so what. As long as people aren’t being taken advantage of with his products.
Throughly enjoy your videos, thank you. BJ quote ‘you do you’ perfect. He is transparent & passionate about living forever. I do admire him 😊. Agree- don’t understand why he has so many haters! He is not harming anyone.
Awsome watching your review on don’t die. I felt the same way the doctors did. Nice to see two great people not being hateful on youtube. Keep up the good work and “Don’t Die” 😂
When you are young you want to live forever, until you live a really long time and you are haunted by multiple major traumas, then you just want to be done with it.
I think the haters are jealous, and don’t exercise much, and eat lots of over-processed, junk food. No will power. I love his recipes and he’s got me working out more. He’s a motivator. I follow in moderation. The movie was good, but I would have liked more emphasis on recipes. I also like that he tests for heavy metals in products, and plastic.
First time watching the channel, the sentiment is spot on. I watched the documentary, it was entertaining, some good advice, but a lot of wacky stuff too. Hope Bryan listens to the community and uses some of his vast wealth to fund proper medical trials for all the unproven things he is currently trying.
I disagree that what he's doing is "expensive". Bryan is very open that if you do all the basics like sleep, healthy eating, exercise, etc. that you will get 99% of the gains he sees in himself. The point is to be intentional about not dying. That is a concept anyone can adopt.
He takes a lot of supplements, I mean a lot. That‘s clearly more than doing just the basics. His muscles are contracted by machines, that is not merely exercising, it‘s an extremely strict regimen.
@Gina-t3o yes, but the point of my post is that (Per Bryan) if you get the basics right like sleep, diet, exercise, mental health, etc., you'll get 99% of the improvements Bryan sees in himself. If you want to go above and beyond with supplements, labs, other fancy machines for that last 1-2%, you can, but it's not necessary if you cant afford it.
What’s funny is my mother who was mentally ill and addicted to prescription pain medication, smoked and ate pretty much garbage food her entire life lived until her mid 90s. Never underestimate genetics. I live completely differently than my mother and hope to make it to her age. The way I take care of myself I should live to 120 but we all know that’s not happening.
Genetics are what they are. Don’t flip the switches if you can. My Granddad lived until 102 and while that sounds great, he was depressed, lonely for his friends and wife that had passed. He told me directly he didn’t see the purpose in living that long. I feel like this pursuit is Mr. Johnston’s seeking purpose. He had a purpose as a Dad, husband…that changed. We need purpose. At some point and time we can lose that as we age. That is the golden ticket. Keep a sense of purpose. iMHO
Don’t think I’ll watch it but did enjoy the Blue Zones on Netflix! Am not much of a tv watcher but started watching Ted Lasso! Great for feeling joyful!!
I honestly left the film feeling lots of compassion for him. he’s clearly suffering emotionally and this has become his treatment. watching him drop his son off and hearing how he’s felt most of his life….it made me less turned off by him and a bit more understanding even if i find the whole thing to be not my cup of tea and slightly annoying lol
@deedeemiller792 yes but Jack Lalaine set multiple world records,(he swam from Alcatraz to SF wearing Handcuffs,1000 push-ups in 23 minutes ect.)he was in the military, invented workout equipment, wrote a book, was married to his wife, Elaine for over 50 years, Had a close relationship with his kids and Outlived the average American by 15 years. he had an amazing life… he lived a fruitful life .
I am interested in observing Bryan’s journey. He is putting himself into the guinea pig place. I have gone to Panama for stem cell therapy and it was a miracle. But it did wear off.
The depths of human folly to fight change never cease to amaze me, and obscene personal wealth coupled with technology is exacerbating this. Only impermanence lasts.
The irony here is that the change you're witnessing is inevitable. Human ingenuity and resilience have always been the antidote to folly. Personal wealth and technology, when wielded responsibly, can drive progress rather than hinder it. The challenge isn't change itself-it's ensuring the change leads to collective betterment, not just individual gain.
Watched the documentary and love your review. I felt pretty much the same as you guys about it. Quick question: Can the long term side effects of the scans, drugs and experimental treatments he is doing offset the gains he is trying so hard to make ?
His show - entertainment. Your channel - entertaining AND science-based. A few words from the sagacious Victor Hugo: "It is nothing to die. It is frightful not to live." (Les Miserables)
As always, thanks for your professional opinion.Keep up the good work. I don't hate the guy, I just disagree how he is investing his time and money. Is the purpose of life to live long or have a postive impact with the time you have? He could easily have a huge impact by donating his time and money to help many children get basic, scientifically proven, medical care. If he is already doing that in addition, then kudos to him!
Watched an interview with him. He thrives and looks forward to analyzing the results etc. he talks about making sure to keep balance of life and not over doing the science things… I followed dr Gladys mcgary she lived to be over 100. And talks about learning new thing engaging in things that interest you she had this L”s list. Learning love live life etc.
That was interesting to listen to your take on this. I haven’t seen his documentary yet but I’m interested to see what he does. Who doesn’t want to have a long life. Sounds way too complicated. The big question is…is he happy?
Sounds like a day in the life of a rich guy with OCD. Will be very interesting some day when he eventually passes whether he improved lifespan measurably over any rich guy who could be spending a fortune in some other way
I've been doing a similar diet and exercise and then adjusting it with at home testing since 2019. I started following Bryan Johnson since 2023 and met him in person on one of his runs in Pacific Palisades Temescal Canyon Park. To me the main point is that the standard American diet along with our sedentary lifestyle is killing us. Now we have the opportunity to test our genetics and biomarkers to fine tune our diet, supplements and exercise. Some advice applies to everyone, while some must be tailored to specific needs of the individual. Bryan Johnson knows this and has admitted that his products for sale will get you 80% there. Want to approach 100%? Do your own testing.
Many scientists think we can extend life for decades beyond what is thought of to be the max lifespan. This isn’t too far off in the future. And it’s not inconceivable to think someone could live forever under the right conditions (theoretically).
Eat well, exercise well, get good sleep, minimize negative stresses. Enjoy life while it lasts.
That's the plan!
This is an example of compulsive behavior…

He is trying to keep himself alive for as long as possible, any benefits to ‘society’ will be incidental
@ Not in his mind. That’s your opinion.

Bryan has been on a LOT of podcasts, so if you reached out to him for a conversation on the channel I wouldn’t be surprised if he took you up on it!

If it is just for him, then why is it being filmed?
Prototypes always more expensive. The money he's spending is like the cost of a can of coke to anyone else.
You often hear, why is he afraid of dying, we all die - Always said by a young person, but when your youth is gone, for many of us when we realise our mortality and death is getting closer, we start doing all we can to live longer and healthier.
Life really is too short once your youth is gone...
Well said
Thanks for sharing !
Healthier yes but longer?, depends
Yeah. It is a cosmic joke.

spambot selling nonsense on every video
May I go further and say there's not free will either 😂
For me that's beneficial in fact.
Beautiful outlook on.life and death.
I do think he's sacrificed some of his humanity to a point. He seems to live like a robot.
Agree
"He's killing himself everyday to not die"
That sits so well

I’d watch these doctors again. They’re not outright slamming Bryan.
They’re open minded enough to acknowledge what they think are good ideas.
And giving good reasons for the things they don’t think are good ideas.
Yeah we don’t want to slam him. What he is doing is interesting. Welcome aboard 😀
I watched the doc. Is it me, or does Bryan Johnson not look right? There's something weird, pasty, and unnatural about his skin, like Data from Star Trek: TNG. He looks artificial. Maybe that's just how he is, but I've never seen anyone that looks quite like that.
I felt that as well.

Yes it can be lonely
I think we all feel that fear of losing everyone and your ability to enjoy the things you enjoyed in your life.

Your dad is a wise man
“Life is a sexually transmitted terminal disease” 😂
@@TalkingWithDocsRather than wise, he seems a dimwit.
Life is a dead end:)
Living a long healthy life seems kinda nice though, but maybe that’s just me :)
Don't Die
That’s not living better.
Bullocks! He's not trying to live better! Thats your opinion. Better than who or what? Your post makes no sense, nonsense.
You are just rattling a bunch of semi spiritual nonsense! Lifes purpose is what you choose it to be. Stop lecturing.
Bryan focuses on what personally interests and benefits him, sharing his experiences openly with others. Sponsoring a clinical trial would likely mean covering hefty salaries and large operational costs for administrative staff, which may not align with his priorities or interests
I think Bryan is great and doing humanity a service at great expense.
It’s interesting for sure
Thanks for the Netflix tip. Intriguing. Also recommend watching Jay Shetty’s interview with him. The duo presentations certainly give a fuller picture of a complex, disciplined individual with a complicated back story. Thanks again!!
Cool, thanks!
“Where’s the joy?” That the crux of the question about it for me. It seems such an inward, self- focused way of living. Moderation is the key.
He has the joy of an explorer, a pioneer, to go where no man has gone before, just like the starship Enterprise
Have you seen the doc? He's seemingly happier than he's ever been. Leads me to believe that we over-weigh the momentary pleasure of some foods, late-night experiences and under-weigh the more consistent joy-limiting effects of those foods/behaviors.
@@stevens7642Spot on! You’ve understood the entire fundament of the philosophy.
Its his hobby basically, i can see the fun in it.

Yes seems like a bad idea.
I'm 32 and my large indian family is being toxic to me for like 22 years or so, i didn't realised that i have no real relationships and many other problems of my life was because of them, i always saw them treating me badly so i just followed them and hated myself. Now as i understand these things i will love to live upto 130 atleast so that i can tell myself that i got back those years that I've lost
Don't see everyone same, loneliness won't be a problem for me as I'm already really really lonely and still trying to enjoy my life... Successfully

I really like your way to review the documentary!
Does he pass gas?
All great points
Yeah it’s a lot
When you do so many things at the same time how do you know which one is helping or making a difference?
Exactly
Think this is a weird assumption to have that he just blast pills. Seen him talking about taking things in and out of the stack, and talking about risk reward a lot.
apparently hes been doing this for years before he started to film. Seems like his business partner lead him in to the social media light.
And yes you cant never trust influencers since they have something to gain from it so I'm a bit skeptical too.
I love the break down here gentleman. I agree that people shouldn’t hate on someone pursuing health. Supplements to improve longevity seems less risky than being stuck on pharmaceutical drugs that don’t help root cause. 😊
Agree Lynn!
And supplements do treat the root cause???
@ not necessarily but if a doctor puts a person on a drug with many side effects before making lifestyle changes that is a concern.

Agree with your comments re Bryan Johnson! For longevity, especially as you age, you can be too fat, you can be too thin BUT you can never be too strong 😊 Keep up the great work gents
Yes stay strong
How about cycling and swimming for low impact alternatives to running?
@@AaronCorcoran1 I do ride a bike a few miles a day. Failed to mention it. For some reason swimming hurts my shoulders. I have never been a good swimmer.

Yes Blue Zones and Ted Lasso are great
Thanks for sharing !
I liked those shows too
I honestly left the film feeling lots of compassion for him. he’s clearly suffering emotionally and this has become his treatment. watching him drop his son off and hearing how he’s felt most of his life….it made me less turned off by him and a bit more understanding even if i find the whole thing to be not my cup of tea and slightly annoying lol
Jack LaLane worked out faithfully and died of pneumonia.... he's on a fruitless journey...
Well, time will tell. But for him honestly it seems that it makes him happy so it isn’t hurting anybody else.
He died at 96! That's a long life for a man. I used to do jumping jacks with him. Loved his show.
Interesting
Good video 👍you guys are always enjoyable and beneficial to listen to. Thank you for your work.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching
Thank you so much for all you do!
The depths of human folly to fight change never cease to amaze me, and obscene personal wealth coupled with technology is exacerbating this. Only impermanence lasts.
Nice
He's not fighting change, he's trying to have good changes instead of bad ones.
💪I'm 43 I look younger & healthier than him. I just PLAY BASKETBALL. Videos on my channel for proof.💪
So he's not doing the norm.
Watched the documentary and love your review. I felt pretty much the same as you guys about it. Quick question: Can the long term side effects of the scans, drugs and experimental treatments he is doing offset the gains he is trying so hard to make ?
That is a real possibility especially the experimental drugs like follistatin
Yes, I wonder if he drinks the mri dye??
The Creator of life itself numbers our days
Yes
His show - entertainment. Your channel - entertaining AND science-based. A few words from the sagacious Victor Hugo: "It is nothing to die. It is frightful not to live." (Les Miserables)
Does he have friends, belief in something beyond himself and enjoyment?
He is working on those things
Belief in something beyond one's self is a silly waste of time. There are no gods, all of them are constructs of mankind. Get over it.
@@CowboyPants-h5poh, please.😂
I watch Bryan Johnson..I feel he’s an experiment for our society ..Bryan appears to be a well rounded eccentric
Paid Bryan bot.
@@johnjaso1349what do you have against the guy? He seems happy

@@gonzalezm244 he left his wife and his kids to pursue himself. He’s a metrosexual.
Every time a rich person does something odd he is a "well rounded eccentric", every time a poor person does it, he is "crazy and creepy".
He's so afraid of dying he's not fully living!
Yeah he is. He feels fantastic, you don’t need to drink, smoke and eat trash to live a fulfilling life….
Yes seems like it.
Ya, I kind of wonder if this degree of rigidly micromanaging your health has its own drawbacks.♥️🇨🇦
@@amandazplace5663 everything has compromises.
Will be very interesting some day when he eventually passes whether he improved lifespan measurably over any rich guy who could be spending a fortune in some other way
Yes time will tell
@@TalkingWithDocs unless is significantly longer or shorter who really knows - plus some of the stuff he does is known to be good
I agree, he would be better spending some money on his mental health cuz he sure ain’t 100%
Do your own testing.
sounds kind of Obsessive don't you think we are all going to die Eventually?
Down the road It's not like you can turn back time It sure would be nice
It certainly is extreme. That is undeniable.
Many scientists think we can extend life for decades beyond what is thought of to be the max lifespan. This isn’t too far off in the future. And it’s not inconceivable to think someone could live forever under the right conditions (theoretically).
