Thai and Filipino what a magical blend, no wonder your so pretty I'm so jealous! Your father is so cute :) Thanks for the recipes will try these tomorrow night :)
omg..... I just saw your pineapple fried rice video and a little voice inside me whispered "this girl has got to be a half Thai half Filipino" AND I WAS RIGHT!!!
I thought that from one of her other videos when I seen her last name but then I kept looking at her. She definitely has that elusive Filipino nose! Go Asian and Phillipine and Thai pride.
I am currently in America for an exchange year and I'm cooking lumpia for my host family and a potluck with friends in school. Thank you, I hope they'll like it.
my mom is from California which is where I assume she picked up this recipe (with minor variation of filling) for Lumpia but when she told me what it was I thought she said Olympia which is sorta fitting because the taste is godly lol
When I was little me and my bestie used to make these and I forgot how. Just stumbled upon your channel and found this I am in heaven! Making them soon thank you 🙏🏽 😊
Growing up with a Thai mother includes: -She will bring her own Chilli souse in a little jar whit her, when you visit a restaurant. -You can’t touch the food on the Table before she made a Foto and posting it on FB. -There are at least 100 pictures of you on FB showing you while you eating. -You eat food like 25/7 -Be prepared for unexpected Food parties with her friends when you come home from school -As a mix Child, all of her friends will gushing over you eyebrows, like every time they see you.
My filipino friend, Marisol, thaugt me to make these years ago and now my whole family loves them, they ask all the time for some Marisol's rolls, finally I learned the real name!
I find a lot of Filipino people adopted the Thai sweet chili sauce. I have a lot of Filipino coworkers and that's mainly what they bring when they make their lumpia
Just watched chopped and subscribed immediately because I Love your spirit!!! I come from a mixed asian- American family as well (father was black and mother is Chinese/west indian). I am SO excited to watch all of your recipes!! Keep up the awesome work
I just found home with your family making this. Grew up in california, and my neighbors across the street always made Lumpia. This brings back so many yummy memories from my childhood! THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! Many Many Blessings! 🌶🌸🌷🌻
Oh em gee. I can't believe I just discovered your channel. You and your family are the cutest. My mom always makes lumpia using the entire wrapper, so I'm definitely going to give the half wrapper a try!
Teaching some Korean students this recipe this summer. Have to show them this video. You guys were so cute. I know they will enjoy it. And the lumpias!
The first time I had a lumpia was in, of all places, Knoxville, Tn. at a small mom-and-pop hole-in-the-wall restaurant (good people just a very small place) The Philippine Connection and fell in love with them, I buy them a dozen at a time. I hope I can make them as good as the Philippine Connection Dose! Thank you for sharing your Heritage with us! I will check out the other treasures you share d as well, all the best from the Smokey Mountains in Tn.
when I first saw you with S.Longest you seemed so shy!! I'm so so happy for you and all your succes and your so pretty I just love your look from head to toe!! Many Blessings to you and your family!
It is so fun to see family recipes in action! Your parents must have been very young when you were born. I didn't know about cutting the wrappers like that. I have had lumpia at the fall festival at the local Catholic church that must have been done this way because there was little wrapper and lots of filling. Thanks for the tip and a lovely video as always.
Just Eat Life Well your good genes came from them obviously. I guess you will all look young forever. I have made tons of egg rolls over the years and crispy gau gee (Hawaiian favorite, my wife was born there). I should make some lumpia soon. They are all similar to be honest.
You're so lucky to still have your parents. (hopefully that's still the case since you made this video) You most definitely have more of dads genes. These are perfect, but the one thing I might add? _Place all your mix into a large plastic bag, cut the corner off, and squeeze a line of mixture across your wrapper. Faster and cleaner._ *THANKS FOR THE VID!*
Love this video! I was craving lumpia so I ran to my local asia mart to pick up all the ingredients! This video was so useful! I hope they turn out as good as yours!! :) Plus your parents look too great!
Thank you so much I followed your recipe and it was a hit with my family OMG let me tell you it's so good :) next time I'll add chicken to add more flavor. Thanks so much 😊👏
your parents are TOO CUTE--you have your dad's effervescent smile :)
That's so sweet of you to say! Thank you love!

Also, try asauce called: Jufran, it's a red sauce in a glass bottle. It's essentially bannana sauce/ketchup.
That sweet chili sauce is used more for dipping fried fish balls.
You’re dad is adorable! Your parents are just the cutest !!!!
