Thank you SO much for having me AB! This was seriously so fun and I'm so glad that you enjoyed the lumpia 🙏🏽 I can't wait for your soul food version!! 🥰
Jeanell - just ate 4 ~ should be shamed ~ I’m not 😂 they were 🔥🔥🔥 ~ ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS ~ Thank You Grandma for passing this WONDERFUL RECIPE to Jeanell. 😋😋😋
Props to AB. Exploring all world cultures of great food. Things like this can make us all come together and feel like family in the kitchen. Kudos to another great video.

Fish Sauce is so good that I even used it to marinate lamp chops last week and it was amazing! I also made some egg rolls similar to these lumpias. I sautéed shredded carrots, onion and garlic with seasonings (no salt). Then take it off the heat, mixed in two cans of salmon, three tablespoons of fish sauce, and two eggs. Mixed it up, then roll the mixture in the wrappers. THEN I used the Air Fryer to cook them for around 8 minutes. Serve with Duck Sauce and WOW!!! 🥰
I LOVE LUMPIA! I had 2 roommates in the 1980s when I was living in Florida. One of the roommates was a Filipino man. He taught me and my best friend at the time how to make lumpia. We use to have lumpia making parties where we would drink wine and make about 50-100 lumpia’s. We would make a lot and freeze them for future use. I MISS THOSE DAYS!😍😋😋
Awesome Show! In my home town you couldn't go nowhere with out smelling some type of Filipino food, Basically born and raised on it, but once again nice show.
Only if I knew how to make "Pancit" noodles I'd be happy. A Marine buddy of mines wife would make it for us along with chicken adobo and I was in love with those dishes but never learned how to cook any of them!!!! Out
It's wonderful to see a seasoned chef as yourself have others on your show doing their thing. This was an amazing recipe and I still learned something.
Growing up with an auntie that’s Filipino, lumpia was always my fav. Was scared of trying to cook it but this video makes me want to try it out, lovely video thanks AB!?!?
I'm a retired (jarhead) Marine, and I have been to the Philippines about a half a dozen time from 73 to 93 and each and every time that I was there, I had to have Lumpia for my food on the go. It is great to have someone (Jenell) to put yours's and grandma recipe out for everyone including yours truly to try and take to task very soon. Thank you and AB.

I'm going to try this because I have Asian friends who turned me on to pancit and limpia. I'm hooked. I will bring these to every family gathering. Love it.❤😍
My mommy used to make this all the time (we are FBA). She used ground turkey and shredded everything by hand (no food processor back in the days). And we used vinegar as the dipping sauce. So good!!! RIP Ma!!
My inlaws are Filipino and we have lumpya like chicken wings ... they're staple appetizers whenever we have family gatherings .. but we always get the frozen ones .. grateful to see them made fresh!!
I use to eat those when I was a kid at Guam…my mother got the recipe from the Guamanians and they all is to cook together…brings back great memories! Absolute 🔥 chef! Thank you very much for this
Wow! This took the mystery out of making lumpia. I thought lumpia was much harder to make than this.. It's funny how you can build something in your mind that tells you "it's too hard to make don't try it". Janell was wonderful, I had no idea it was a lot easier ti make. You should have more guests like this. Janell is sincere and I can tell she really liked your barbeque sauce.
Thank you so much for this! When I lived in NC, we had a big Filipino population, and my boss's family was big on traditional recipes. Her mom and grandma made the best Lumpia, and they'd make trays of it and bring it to work for us to gorge on. I miss it so much ❤ Now I'm inspired to make it for myself 😁
