This is EXACTLY what Southwest should have used to replace there aging 737 fleet. These new Airbuses are virtually the same size as an older generation 737-700 and close to even an 800 variant. Instead of gambling on the MAX's terrible safety record they should have just switched to these A220-300's. Bad move Southwest.

but then they would have to train their pilots which would cost a lot. A smarter move would be to get a 737 max 8 or 9 because they are similar and would cut down on training cost
