- I follow 27 Qatar Airways crew onboard the world’s largest airliner; Airbus A380 to see how they operate a full flight from Doha to Bangkok. There are many things you don’t see as a passenger!
My journey started at Doha Hamad International Airport (HIA). I boarded early ahead of other passengers to join the crew briefing and the crew showed me their pre-boarding cabin check. We had a full load of 517 passengers.
Captain Fatima briefed the passenger before we took off. She gave the flight details and the emergency briefing. The A380 is huge and felt like a cruise ship in the sky with double deck. There were many activities after takeoff, the crew showed how to prepare the cabin for inflight service. Purser Alex shows us the ‘hidden’ A380 crew rest.
With a gorgeous sunrise, we started our approach to Bangkok. Enjoy the A380 landing from the cockpit. After landing, the crew showed us their work before deplaning.

This is our last series of Qatar Airways vlog. There are a lot of great people work in aviation, most of them aren't or never been on the camera. One interesting fact: Captain Fatima, was on standby and called out last minute to operate the flight. She didn't know the filming before hand and was not even prepared but you can totally feel her confidence. I became a big fan of her throughout the 6-hour flight together.

The cabin manager is very professional and clearly takes his job very seriously, lots of respect for him.
Captain Fatima was amazing, you can tell the dedication to the job and the sheer professionalism. What a great insight to all these wonderful people.
Just figure how much you have to achieve before the company entrusts you with the A380.

I have to agree. It's an incredible experience that I wish for every aviation enthusiast.
That thing could have boogers, week old sweaty guacamole, couple of pubes and concentrated cat piss and still, still radiate beauty and unrelenting technical excellence.
As soon as I saw it I started grinning - I really wanted to say "Make it so" :)
The In-flight service manager is very passionate about his job. Such a big inspiration. Even the captain is so easygoing. She buttered the landing so well that I didn't even realise she touched the plane down.
Like other said not only the pilot manifested confidence, the lead pursuer was confident as well. He did a very good of presenting the various aspects and duties of the cabin crew.
just realized there is so much behind just than travelling from one place to another the ground staff the crew the pilots the atc its a whole system working in together to make our journey happy and safe Thank You

There are much more people involved in the movement of a passenger train in India.

Love the Captain, what a pleasant individual who seems very humble and extremely talented in her role as Captain.
She can relax a bit. She has a very straight look in her eyes. Do pilots also take doping tests? I know it is a responsible profession, but it is one of thousands of flights per day. She pretends they're flying to the moon
Does anybody wonder if maybe the first officer absolutely loathes flying with her because throughout the entire flight she lets loose some Pakistani poppers that absolutely smell like the last 2 feet of Satan's rotten and jungle bloated lower intestine? If I was her I'd do it any time I could. Id be ruthless in my mission to share my creations and nobody would ever suggest that I consider crop dusting after retirement.

@@henkjanvanraikonnen5073 Airline pilots experience drug testing when they are hired, after any incident or emergency, and randomly in addition to that. According to an airline pilot on quora, they averaged a drug test about every 6 months.
Everyday every pilot does the same thing. Appreciate everyone. You do not look at the first officer who has such a young age and does the same job.

Fantastic behind the scenes footage Sam... have flown 380 a number of times and at both ends of the aircraft (depending on available cash) and i knew the crew were busy but did not realize just how busy they are .. and they make it look so easy .. much respect to them !

I noticed that Captain Fatima likes to wink her eye instead of saying either "thank you" or "that's all." She winked her eye a few times during this video, yet not when she was wearing her sunglasses.

This was extremely emotional for me as I just flew on the A380 to Thailand and back to LAX. What a giant plane it is and seeing the performance of the Pilot & co pilot reassured me of my safety.

Wow! What a great airline! Everything seems to be of the highest quality, including all of the employees on the aircraft, and those on the ground. It would be a dream to experience Qatar Airways, and the country of Qatar (and visit Doha!) but, as a pensioner, I cannot afford to travel. I was lucky to be able to ride in an A380 when went to Europe early this year. It is quiet and steady on air.
They are updating them and coming out with newer models.
