I love how each musician quiets down for the guy who’s taking the solo. True musicianship!!
thats how music with soloists works??????????????
that's the point when you jam together ;)
Great repley .Was thinking the same thing. Some people are so ignorent.
What Greg is pointing out is respect instead of ego or showing off, on which many solos are based, sadly.
@@aaroncrosby2173 The fact that you misspelled "ignorant" is just perfect.
That guy with the glasses is insanely awesome
this guy is one of the best finger picker and you should know his name- Richard Smith.
@@epichazeltime Well....
That's him told. Fancy not even knowing who a guitar player who not everybody would know is. Pfffft. Heathen!
Sir Richard Smith. He's an Englishman. Chet Atkins promoted him when Chet was still alive. He is the most unknown talent. Look up video of him playing The Entertainer, it will give you chills.
@@rumhave9632 Yeah. I know who he is... but only because I've watched a fair few of these Tommy E videos which has lead me to other things. My point is...I'm a musician and i JUST about know who he is. Your average listener wouldn't of heard of him. I speak to some guitar players and they haven't heard of Tommy E!!!! These guys are well known in certain circles BUT not THAT well known generally. It's the same in my field... brass. We have absolute legends but if you asked most people to name a brass platwr they would say Louis Armstrong and Herb Alpert. It's just the way it is!
@Marco Deo i hope he is someday
Me and the boys after coronavirus lockdown has finished and we’ve had enough time to learn every instrument on the planet
😂 with this relief money coming in we all may have to buy ourselves a nice new something to play
Im just really happy there are others watching this right now and its not just me haha
Joe Jasat hahaha, same here but with piano, let me know how it goes after a few months practice
Joe Jasat May have to form a band of joes at some point
@@rodrigonavarro6397 Not sure where youre at in life, but most people I know need the relief money for actual relief...
You just gave another example of why we shouldn't have socialism in this country. Taxpayers like me dont want to pay for your instruments. We only agreed to trying to save American lives with this, nothing more. Not to save the environment in one fell swoop, not to give everyone money to invest in their hobbies, but to buy medicine and food and pay rent.
I love how people think this is incredible. And then the guitar players REALLYY know how incredible it is
And then the _rhythm_ guitarists are even more impressed than non-musical people.
@@rageagainstmyhairline5574 I love how you cant sing worth a crap and think lolololol rythem guitarists have no musical ability. Im not a rythem guitarists but i respect them.
@Unstoppable Forces A) You don't know me, and B) I'm a rhythm guitarist. It's called self-deprecating humour. Ya dumbass.
elitist as fuck i love it
If you like music, you’re awesome. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re not good enough.
After some minutes I realized I was smiling all the time while watching these videos, I didn't even notice. That's pure joy.
Me too....
@@johnpamplin7734 CAn't get the grin off, but didn't recognise I had had one untill I read your coment! ☺
Same.
Ok now THAT'S heartwarming
@@johnpamplin7734 l.o
Nothing like a bunch of friends sitting around with acoustic guitars and just playing whatever comes to mind
Yeah, none of the big star, stadium stuff, just playing for fun, the way it SHOULD be
@@classicartfoundation639
Both are fine, and both serve different purposes. Not saying that pop artists and the such all possess the skill or talent their audience implies, but still.
@@classicartfoundation639 Music should be however the person making it wants it to be.
I love how Tommy gives 100% of his attention to each player in turn and never misses a note.
Absolutely - the Australian golfer, Greg Norman, was known as the 'Great White Shark'. Tommy Emmanuel - the 'Great White haired guitar shark'. Don't underestimate as well the brilliance [and I mean, brilliance] of Richard Smith. Both are true musicians - they love music and they give to others.
Very talented group of musicians and all 4 are class acts!! I could watch and listen all day long. Thank you for the inspiration gentlemen 👍🏻🤟🏻
Pure perfection
That tag team finishing lick was out of this universe.
My jaw literally dropped. Such skill
Did they do the exact same lick without each other knowing. Just wow.
Watched it over like 20 times
3 of them actually, if you listen closely the guy at the back right did it as well
The first song they were playing was 'Deed I do.'' My father taught me to play this on ukulele when I was 9 yrs old, and I had to sing it too! Lovely to hear this version! It's much better than mine was! LOL!
07:40 so good
Truly .... as Old Solomon said ,
“There’s nothing better for a man than to be able to eat & drink & rejoice in his labor (... rejoice in his work(s)...)”
Amen simply awesome,
So true
the closest thing we have to peace
I love the pure bliss on Tommy’s face. This man lives the music. His concerts are must see. Attention to all detail. Makes me happy.
@Stringman 1950 You seem to know who this is. I just found this and love it. Who, who who?
Far right: tommy Emmanuel, protege of Chet Atkins. Wonderkind on guitar. Born in Australia. Tours constantly. He’s really holding back here and letting others have the spotlight.
Check out Tommy’s version of “somewhere over the rainbow” on RUclips.
@@Stringman1950 Thanks! Just found him so awesome!
He was a bit harsh on the chap with the posh guitar
Absolutely breathtaking to see them play...its like music became tangible for a moment...they were literally passing it around in circles...Wow.
The RUclips algorithm strikes again with this absolute gem.
This genre of music is called "Sage", only for sages. Any other who tries this will lose their phalanges for life.
You made me google phalange..
Funny cuz sage is my name
This actually sounds like some soft Jypsy Jazz
Look at how much fun these guys are having! Shows that if you spend many years perfecting something that you love, you'll be able to love doing it even more.
I, like most of Tommy's fans, would love a book with his biography, experiences etc it would be a treasure. I invite everyone to write to his site and ask for it. Hope we can get that great legacy. Best wishes to all the fans around the world!
Completely agree!
Needs to have tabs in it
Who's Tommy? I just stumbled upon this and I'm really curious who these people are.
@@ronnie1564 type "stevies blues tommy emmanuel" into youtube search bar
Wow! Serious skill required... They never play over each other!
The greatness of Tommy is besides being the greatest living guitar player and CFG, he is so humble with the people. Gods gift !
He's a diamond
Certified Fucking Guitar
Tommy Emmanuel looking like he about to buy some tigers and grow a sideburn or two.
Anyone that would give a thumbs down to this excellence should look in a mirror and say to themselves "There's something wrong with me."
yeah,,,they never learned how to play guitar,,,,pure n simple
most of the time it's a mistake, you hit the button while touching the screen
get real man....most the time my ass
INSANELY GOOD! I love how they seamlessly trade playing parts of the song.
Brovo
Dan Farrar True musicians will notice this and appreciate it 😍
Best metronome in the world? your leg! haha amazing.
Anyone can cook...
Tommy Emmanuel is such a Human Juke Box & Historian 🤗
The way the tone shifts from one to the other even though they are all playing a guitar. Marvellous!
God I hate the thought of selling all my guitars. LOL I've been playing 50 years and Truly I'm inspired and Jealous at the same time.
Words fail me...my ears say it all! Thank you so much for this...I'm in heaven.
7:40 when they both look up at each other
Its amazing they're playing stuff thats almost 100 years old. And in their hands has the magic it did when it was made. I guess when you dont have a busy modern life to distract you, you can write incredible and timeless music.
The longer I listen to this the more I envy you. Although envy kinda implies that I am not happy for you, but I am! I'm glad you got to experience this and I thank you with all my heart to share this wonderful moment with all of us. Have an incredible day.
Bloody amazing!...don’t know which player to watch!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
groovystevo , watch it four times then you've got it covered.
Taught these guys everything I know... nothin' to do now but cut 'em loose!!!
Phillip Herder .... hahaha. 🤗
And I taught Phillip.
thomas dailey and I taught you
Logan W And I taught Logan
And I thaught Cyrus 🤣
I like how down to earth and nice Tommy is, I wish other names would follow this example, shame they don't get it. What a great jam
Gives me hope, listening to these guys. Only 4 hours a day practice for a couple of lifetimes, maybe I could come almost close to keeping up.
7:40
I love how they look at each other like, "oh, you're gonna play this, too? Okay, here we go!" 😂
This make me smile so much, absolute happiness. ❤️
How great it must be to be gifted and get to hang out with other gifted folks.
I don't even know how to listen to this. If it weren't so amazing, it would be inspiring.
Saw Tommy live at a Christian festival back in Adelaide. Awesome.
The tune is called Deed I Do.
Extraordinary people with extraordinary talents
I like that somewhere around the 6:15 mark it turns into Delfino's Plaza
i love how tentative and soft the youngest guy is, he is amazing too but it's like he doesn't want to step on toes and are letting the others go at it, but then he does the percussive bit and then sheepishly looks up at Tommy and then is happy to get his approval lol, also he looks like the son of the white shirted man.
Acoustic shredding.
Stuie French is a very hot country player and producer, also adept at jazz and probably everything else. so talented these guys!
thank you Akira for uploading these gems
I don’t have enough talent to even watch these guys, much less sit and play with them. I can only wish I was that talented.
It's never about Talent. This is many many years of hardwork and practice and will power. You are never going to get anywhere if Talent is what you want to base your hobby on.
Magic, music sooths the soul.....and someone has given it a thumbs down wow.
The best JAM I've ever tasted....
"Deed I Do", one of my favourites
I wish Akira would have given some basic information -
artists (R. Smith, M. Fix, ........?, Tommy E.), tunes, location etc.
Apart from that, this an absolutely precious documentation of brilliant musicianship
she gave them on part 1 here - ruclips.net/video/ACrudwFcbzI/видео.html
7:41 priceless
Absolutely lovely, a true divine sonata of a greater heart we all share. Wow.
Wow.. quite a little get together !... all true guitar masters.
I’ve got to pick my jaw up off the floor. These guys are superhuman
this proves the universe is made of strings, amazing
Every guitar player needs to listen to this. WOW!!
If lock-down requires more of this. I'm all for it.
Can never get tired of watching and listening to this stuff. Talent and experience
Unbelievable. This is truly amazing
what kind of sorcery is this
Lol. Time to call the exorcist. Truly amazing.
That my friend is true friendship.
It is a beautiful sight to see.
I rewound that tag-team final lick atleast 20 times
I love the way it was filmed - just let the camera be so we can watch what each guy is doing.
God, what a sweet sound. 😍 Not enough people my age (22) understand and appreciate this kind of music and the talent in playing the way these guys do. And, ya know, music is subjective and people can like what they want but this style should never die. I hope it never does.
Could listen to these guys for hours. Some unbelievable talent.
Never heard before these 4 fantastic musicians. Brilliant!!!
Enough with the young folk copying songs verbatim. Time for the super skilled old folk with experience and chops to sit down four at a time making it sound so nice. Loved it so much listened to it thrice. God bless.
They are simply amazing pickers! TY For Posting!
I could listen to that all day long!
This is what I hope to do later in life. Chilling with mates, jamming and having a couple cold ones
Can't wait until i've listened to this a few times so I can join the jam. Thanks for sharing!
Definitely worth watching. Just awesome.
Happiness: 4 guys and 4 guitars
These people don't play music, they just think it and it's transmitted to their guitars
Just keeps getting better, on to part 4
Sounds like the club penguin background music .... ahh nostalgia
man, this old guys really jamming it good, reminds me of my late brother who really loves playing guitar even in his last remaining days still strumming his beloved guitar in bed, broke my heart upon watching this, so sad that we lost him.
This video make me really really happy. Thanks
Ah, there is always one who doesn't like and appreciate such efforts!
Every time I start thinking I'm a pretty good guitarist, I listen to these guys & I'm humbled
Damn this is gonna make me buy an acoustic
i love how tommy's foot tapping is double bpm than everyone else LOL hell yeah
This is the second time I have seen this and it's been great both times I mean all of it been 👍
Great name man!
Me: Who are these guys?
Looks at description: Tommy Emmanuel
well that explains it
Aussies own the guitar at this moment in time.
Tommy can play when he keeps more simple that's when I love his playing chet Adkins had it right the best ever was
at 2:30 French looking over at Smith :D best moment
The guy on the left with the glasses is an insanely good player
THIS IS GREAT !!!
They all have their own style and speak well of other pickers, but when you listen closely there's Chet's stamp in all their playing.
Allen Owens ... 👍🏽. Accurate Observation 🤗👍🏽
Allen & Clyde ~ but they all owe it to Mel Bay right? ;-) cheers
Truly Bad Ass
Chet look down and see how your music is still alive every day You still live on
I hire these guys for my funeral!
Brings a tear to my eye love this stuff
Me and the boys recording a Pixar movie soundtrack
I've never heard so many overtones in my life!
🎵 honeypieeee... you’ve been making me cra-zyyyy 🎵
Complimenting the guys guitar tone at the end...
"It's actually a shit guitar, it's a great player" great come back, funny as hell.
Heh Akira this collection of jams is so beautiful it changes the mundane everyday into a joyous extravaganza. I would love for you to add the names of all the players into all the descriptions and any links to their bios or websites. Thank you so much for putting this music up on RUclips. Cheers Howard
I think it's in the first ones discrimination. I could be mistaken
