Pure joy listening to these men. Tens of thousands of combined hours of dedication flows from their fingertips to make us smile.
You can hear Chet, Django, Travis, and Paul in all of their playing. Simply magnificent! This is what hours of painstaking practice and a love for music produces! Wish I was there to witness this phenomenon! Bravo Tommy, Richard, Michael, and Stuie!
especially Django
Tommy is such a great natural entertainer as well as a polished guitarist. Richard just sits back and adds awesome guitar styling to the arrangement.
Alan Land how do I find these guys online?
You captured a completely natural moment that cannot ever be duplicated. these artists all know the songs very well and are discovering each others styles just as much as we viewers are. As a player its very enjoying to watch and listen. Thank you very much
Unbelievable they can create these arrangements with just nods and a few words!
I know, never before have I been so glad for the unique things RUclips recommends me at 3am. How they all laugh after each song is priceless
Lee Wimberley nothing amazing. Years of hard work, like any professional
@@Frankincensedjb123 Uh...nothing amazing?
That is part of the beauty of it
Most of these are actual tunes; they're just jamming on top, with a few nods to the artists along the way.
Somewhere, Django is smiling and playing along.
Thank you, I'm reminded of my dad and my mom's uncle playing in my parents basement many years ago on new years eve ,dad on an acoustic 6 string and Uncle Minard on a Mandolin playing all night fueled by jug beecr (1 gallon cider jugs) and a love for music. So many years have passed now but I'll never forget sitting on the basement steps and watching with my ears seeing two great men play and become one, I hope young people learn from their elders the appreciation of talented and unacclaimed artists .
Richard Smith is gobsmackingly good... mind blown!!!
That's why he's the 2001 National Fingerstyle Guitar Champion
These guys are having a blast.......making some epic music
Like Django Rheinhart, Tommy Emmanuel has that something special that is very rare and will place him among the Immortals of the Guitar Pantheon.
Can you play Fly Me To The Moon. Yeah, let us just drop a world class version on you on the spur of the moment. Wow!!!
Wtf is going on here ? Jesus does anyone have any idea how incredible this is ? This should be saved for all time...
Just a little jam at one of tommy's workshops, mind you these guys likely teach at the workshops. Stuie French at back is more known as country muso and producer extraordinaire, now in Nashville..
It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing....And they have it coming and going!!! Awesome!!! I 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😘👍👍👍👍❤️
As Carl Haas used to say, "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that certain je ne sais quoi."

as a younger musician, music like this just touches my soul. Django would be proud that his legacy as a trailblazer is survived through amazing musicians like these and those to come for future generations.
Michael Navarro do you know which genre of music is this?
So glad I found these amazing pickers!!! The BEST!!!
the best ever, it doesn't get any better than this

Thanks Ryan. They are all fantastic! Have watched it twice already! 👍🏼🎸
THANK YOU GOD
I have been convinced, guitar has it’s own language
I had to watch this one a few times for that version of "It Don't Mean a Thing" 💗
bloody brilliant. such a privilege to be in the room!
Listening to these gentlemen is a pleasure of the highest class
Simply one hour of some of the best music most will never hear.
The big man is fantastic.
Chet Atkins put it best "The day finger pickers took over the world".
If you believe in reincarnation then, I want to come back as Tommy's ( or his brother Phil.. RIP ) Guitar .. Then I would be vibrating to SWEET MUSIC each time they played ! Oh Yeah !
The one thing I notice as both a guitar and piano player - in particular, looking at Richard Smith's playing hand. The 'pinkie' finger on guitar players is used, but often curled up. On piano, it's the 4th finger that is the weakness. When a guitar player utilises the 'pinkie' as an equal, then we are likely to see a guitar maestro. However, I've often cursed the curling of many a thumb over the fret board, only to have my theory on that subject thwarted by the likes of Jeff Beck and these lovely players, for example!
Merle Travis and Chet Atkins utilized this all the time
Mesmerizing! I have never heard anything like this
Wonderful to see. They just love what they’re doing.
It don’t mean a thing...enjoyed this sooooo much!!
I could listen to this all night I must get some sleep it's 2.0clock in the morning
Them doing it don’t mean a thing is exactly what I’ve been searching for.
Stuie French knows his place in a jam
Thank You Akira !! I discovered Stuie French for the first time thru your videos. What a great player aside from being a great record producer, studio engineer, arranger, composer and on and on and on. Music flows through him in a way that is very special. On top of it all, his wife is one of the best diversified singers in the world.
You are very welcome. Glad you like it!
can you guys play... and before you've said anymore they are playing your request in a fully complimentary arrangement, lol!
Boy oh boy oh boy oh,............
I love old school
These Guys are GREAT!!!
The sound of a 400 year old divine guitar-playing being
Close your eyes and you can hear the drums and bass when there are just guitars.
absolutely fantastic, and inspirational, thank you~
You can tell that the guy on the right with the cool haircut and fancy style use to get so many females back in the day!
‘The guy on the right with the cool haircut’....man, you don’t even have a right to be listening to these legends if you don’t know who they are.
@@johneales1060 that is rude thing to say , you are lucky nobody can teach you manners on here talk to strangers like that face to face you'd end up learning
Regardless of your knowledge of their existence, you have found them and they have enlightened you to the ways of music ... REAL, UNADULTERATED MUSIC! Learn their names, and follow them and you will be blessed with music in your very soul! Peace!!!😎
the more you practice, the more fun the all might groove is, you could do this forever, after you play with the likes of players like this.

jazzgrampa Hi, they’re all from Australia I believe except for Richard Smith (far left) who is from the UK, him and Tommy however do share a distinction of being a “CGP”
Please please please tell the people in the background to stop talking
I wish those guitars would shut up.
I can't hear a word anyone is saying.
