Gun price, and especially magazine price,is a deal breaker. Glad to see everything seems to work, though... it had better do at the price they're asking.
$1600 isn't a lot for a gun, if you know anything about machining and manufacturing. The whole reason guns have become garbage is because the consumer doesn't want to pay what the Product actually costs. Consumers have beat down manufacturers until they've lowered their prices as low as possible, and the guns (most) are still being sold for 5-15% under MSRP. People will continue to beat down manufacturers, and prices will come down... But so will quality/reliability. Why do you think EVERY SINGLE American firearms manufacturer has gone into bankruptcy and bought out by capitol management/VC firms. (A la Cerberus and Freedom Group.) People have done it in almost every market, and now all we have for option is, complete garbage from China, or ultra high end from a tiny company still making the product in the states, that comes with an ultra high cost.
As far as price vs quality... absolutely, especially for comp guns. Personal protection... there's still some guns that are reliable that won't require you to sell a neighbour's kidney on the black market, and some of those that I like are even made in the US as well (notable exception being Rock Island Armory 1911s). To be honest, my bigger concern is the insane magazine costs on some guns, despite that being the first thing that tends to go wrong with a semi. That's why I prefer magpul (glocks, ARs) or mec-gar (1911s, Beretta M9) - nice magazines within acceptable price ranges.
I actually never paid too much attention to the MPX series but the K configuration as well as this one really has my interest, does the gas system dampen recoil? How is the trigger compared to the K with its Timney? Is it smooth?
I prefer the GHM9k with the folder from CSM. Exceptional. I just cannot get behind SIG anymore. They just throw everything at the wall and pray that something sticks that is functional.
Gun companies not forgetting civilians. cough, cough, Colt And after seeing Lena Miculek shred with an MPX I kinda want a carbine size one now. This thing not so much.
I wanted to wish you a very happy thanksgiving and i hope it is filled with lots of good food and love from friends and family that brings you much to be thankful for in the future!
I love mine. My favorite gun. I can put it in a small backpack. I like the weight it makes me feel like its built like a tank. I didnt care about Nutnfancys review. They said they hated it but it was real reliable which I look at for my guns. And they didnt put a folding stock on it which helps alot. They didn't like the length but it is ment to be as small as possible for pdw.
its everything i wanted but i ended up with a scorpion. love these options not sure if im going to convert the scorpion to this setup but im glad that i can
I got my barrel threaded for $100 by ZRTS. They said they have done dozens of them... Looks sweet with an upside down Osprey. Haven't shot it yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work as they are really only cutting off the crenelations. I'll open up the gas port a bit if its undergassed. JoeBob's AR spring kit, grip screw adjuster & polishing brought the trigger down from +9lbs to ~3lbs. Cost like $15.
I have the magpul plum akv with the SBA3 and it’s excellent. I thought about getting this brace but can’t make my mind up. You need to get this gun. You’ll love it. Now I have more credit card debt!!
I think your modifications are a big improvement over the original config. I recall about a year ago people were saying these were made for a military unit, I think they were trying to make people think it was used by some tier one sf group. I called bs on it.
$65 for a plastic box with a spring in it?! Jesus this is whats kept me from getting into firearms as much as i’d like to. Everything is absurdly expensive for no reason other than huge markups
Natty Fatty Powerlifting SKS’s and Mosin Nagants are cool but not good home defense weapons. I want a more modern rifle but anything decent quality is absurdly expensive
SwordBreaker925 Out of the box, S&W M&P sport II ar is great, or "build one" through palmetto. Mags are ~$10. You don't need to throw away money, and don't let anyone tell you differently. This is overpriced garbage. $1600 for something with an unthreadable barrel? Garbage brace lockup? Come on... Complement it with a Glock 17 and you are on an even playing field with most situations. Remember parts compatibility/availability. Don't buy something to be "different" just for the sake of it. Cost of ownership is a long term factor to consider as well.
SwordBreaker925 you can build a very high quality AR for cheap. Right now is the time to do it. You don’t have to have a BCM or Daniel Defense. Those are huge markups because of their name. I own an LWRC, a SOLGW and some PSA AR’s. They all do what I need them too. I would get a PSA AKV. They are only $800 and you can get the 35 round mags for $14 on sale. It’s a very good gun. You can use it for home defense.
I worked with suppressors in the 80's and 90's, before cheap digital cameras. I was too young and had no cash, so I didn't have even a VHS camera; but I have an idea. Recording too close to the gun makes suppressed and non suppressed guns sound almost the same. Try to record from a huge distance, maybe like 50 meters. What do you think? After two huge changes in our brazilian gun laws... it's impossible for me to try it now.
That's one reason I opted for a longer barrel. I got hits out to 250 yards after we were done filming with it. I only scored maybe 1 in 5 shots but that's crazy cool IMHO. I personally couldn't do that with a handgun.
Very sweet set up. I might sell off some guns to buy one. Wait!!! What!!! $60 dollars a magazine!! I’ll go with my CMMG Banshees. Sig should make these MPXs to accept P320 magazines.

Excellent review, get mine tomorrow!
I actually never paid too much attention to the MPX series but the K configuration as well as this one really has my interest, does the gas system dampen recoil? How is the trigger compared to the K with its Timney? Is it smooth?
Great video, new to this pistol cal. carbine thing, i like it and thank you for explaining things.
That gun looks so sweet!
Love how the suppressor is almost longer than the gun
I prefer the GHM9k with the folder from CSM. Exceptional. I just cannot get behind SIG anymore. They just throw everything at the wall and pray that something sticks that is functional.
Have one in lay away..Can’t wait to pick it up
You're probably going to love it.
Optics Planet....Some good folks over there. Great customer service.
*I'm pretty sure that at 13:45 you started playing Jingle Bells.......
Get a top folding stock and call it the copper scorpion
Cool yes, but that's two stribogs and add a brace later money
Nice little rig.
Whatever camera you filmed this with is awesome, crisper or something.
Tim be honest that first brace was snatching the hairs out of your beard
True Story
Gun companies not forgetting civilians. cough, cough, Colt And after seeing Lena Miculek shred with an MPX I kinda want a carbine size one now. This thing not so much.
Full auto or bust.
Any barrel shorter than 3 inches is sub compact, 3 to 3.9 inches is for compact, 4 to 4.9 inches for mid, and 5+ is for full size and PCCs.
out of my wheel house but thank you for showing it to us as always keep it up.
My tri-lug suppressors (B&T) have an index to make sure you place them in the same orientation...
I wanted to wish you a very happy thanksgiving and i hope it is filled with lots of good food and love from friends and family that brings you much to be thankful for in the future!
CZ scorpion micro vs Sig copperhead mpx show down?
I love mine. My favorite gun. I can put it in a small backpack. I like the weight it makes me feel like its built like a tank. I didnt care about Nutnfancys review. They said they hated it but it was real reliable which I look at for my guns. And they didnt put a folding stock on it which helps alot. They didn't like the length but it is ment to be as small as possible for pdw.
The TRUE offshoot of the CZ Skorpion.
SIG has one of the best R&D departments but the worst QC across the board.
$65 mags, wow sign me up then
50 is the most I've paid...
Given the price I’m liking the flux raider even more
Thanks for the video!
Any plans to bring back the sealed AR and run another 1000 through it?
its everything i wanted but i ended up with a scorpion.
love these options
not sure if im going to convert the scorpion to this setup but im glad that i can
You’re almost to a million subs! Hopefully hit it by Christmas. In southern Indiana, and trying to make a trip up there soon
Very cool for a PDW system.
I have noticed the glass on my green dot MRO is crystal clear with no blue tint to it. My other red dot MROs all have a slight blue tint to them.
Upper lower wobble is definitely a pain. For me on my psa ar308 it moved probably 1/4 inch or more left to right
Tim, review .22 TCM barrel for MPX from In Lead We Trust.
Thank you.
The railed (fixed) AKV with that brace is still my wet dream PCC of 2019...
I have the magpul plum akv with the SBA3 and it’s excellent. I thought about getting this brace but can’t make my mind up. You need to get this gun. You’ll love it. Now I have more credit card debt!!
@@100fredkrueger Oh I already have the gun, WITH this brace... all black railed version. It's my favorite truck/backpack gun.
I think your modifications are a big improvement over the original config. I recall about a year ago people were saying these were made for a military unit, I think they were trying to make people think it was used by some tier one sf group. I called bs on it.
Looks really nice suppressed.
Thank God! When I saw snake bit I thought you were going to have another Sig lemon on your hands. lol
Shot this gun for the first time. Amazing
Beautiful!
That with the new Wardog by Bowers Group would be awesome!
Mac is reviewing a sig, let's see what goes wrong.
When I shot one last year I had to ask, "Why? If my sidearm delivers more energy why use such a short barrel?" They didn't have an answer.
That's one reason I opted for a longer barrel. I got hits out to 250 yards after we were done filming with it. I only scored maybe 1 in 5 shots but that's crazy cool IMHO. I personally couldn't do that with a handgun.
Just a range toy. Uber expensive range toy.
Reminds me of a vz.61, same role to be filled
Sig has sure turned around from the days of diamond tread metal or barbwire designs on the P226.
If they put it out in 10mm or other man caliber I might spring for one. Pretty nice little package.
Rue ridge 10 or 45 acp. Someone should make a 9 dillon kit as well
Why when the 10mm banshee is so damn amazing?
Wow this thing is awesome!
Keep it up Mac dawggy dawg
Looks like a new generation of old good VZ61 Scorpion, but mutch, mutch tacticulled.
I wonder if you’re going to get a new tri lug barrel from InLeadWeTrust for your MPX K you had issues suppressing a while back?
That thing could use a folding pistol grip for even more compact pcc
Very sweet set up. I might sell off some guns to buy one. Wait!!! What!!! $60 dollars a magazine!! I’ll go with my CMMG Banshees. Sig should make these MPXs to accept P320 magazines.
Wish they made this in .45 omg I have this gun love it
Camera-man steps in front of the 90% plane of the muzzle while shooting, range officer shouts “CEASE FIRE, you are a NO GO on my range!!!”
You might of mentioned the new barrel length from in lead we trust but I must of missed it....is that the 4.5” or is that a 6.5” barrel? Please help me settle this debate
Yes please I’m curious too. @Militaryarmschannel
Looks like the 4.5". Tim, can you confirm the length of the new barrel?
