The video would be a lot cooler if you were able to switch caliber, oh wait Sig says there isn’t enough interest for caliber change over, that they marketed the gun as in 2015. Considering how backed up on MPX orders the ability to change to .40 cal is asking too much. I’m not jaded about it, I’m just saying multiple calibers is one of the strong points to the platform.
Hello Arm&Gun! - Where did you get the interchangeable barrel from? Looking to do the same, I have a 16inch and want to go for the 8 or 4.5. Thanks in advance!
Zero can be a smidge off after removing barrel. Really only need a click or 2 to be back on zero again though. So it’s not like you gotta go through the entire rezeroing process.
Due to potential legal exposure, I doubt either a g p ass cl9wbaxk, short piston, or l9ng pist9n d9es. But I do think the people near us are n9w cultivating. Even though through the gas piston system, the boly is not the MPX sight and s8ghts are no l9nger being compared in dearh, irons and red dot, I think you should get the aimpoint ar event.
Which threaded barrel would you recommend for the Sig MPX Copperhead w/ a 3.5” barrel? I saw some nice ones from In Lead We Trust. But they had multiple lengths to choose from. Thx!
I’ve always wondered if a belt fed gun would be able to get around magazine bans. The law specifically says it cannot except a magazine with a capacity of over 10 rounds.. I’ve always read that is, a belt isn’t a magazine so I think you can do whatever you want with a belt. Would it be that was in Canada too?
Guys please follow the manual when installing the barrel. tighten the screws back and forth until snug then use a torque wrench to tighten to 30-40 inch pounds (first screw then second screw then first screw again)
Just remember that different generations of MPXs have different torque values, the current generation is 30 inch-lbf as per the manual currently on sig's website
@@SetsunaKai5 you are correct I edited my comment the 60 inch lbs was for the 16" models. ILWT sells stronger screws than the factory. They recommend 45 inch lbs
I know this video is 3 years old but can anyone answer this? Are the mpx barrels marked with just 9mm NATO? That’s the only markings on the 8” barrel. Thanks
what iron sights are those? i just bought a MPX-K and it has no iron sights. I'm stuck using a shitty $30 spare red dot i have. Also what type of red dot sight is that?
WARNING - read before you purchase. Test your ILWT barrel to ensure that ammo feeds correctly. Mine did not because of a high feedramp. ILWT is 0.060” compared to the OEM 0.035””. The higher feedramp resulted in bullets nose diving into the base of the feedramp and not onto the feedramp resulting in stoppage. Because I let the gun sit in my safe for a year and did not identify and report earlier, ILWT won’t work the issue and I am required to make Dremel modifications to correct the geometry of the feedramps to allow seamless feeding and function. I highly recommend identifying the issue early and brining it to ILWT’s attention or else you too will have to break out the Dremel.
I emailed ILWT months ago about this exact concern while considering buying one of their barrels and they never responded. If there was anyone else making a machined tri-lug barrel for the MPX, I'd buy from them instead of ILWT, but unfortunately ILWT seems to be the only option.
IMO the 4.5" is more desirable. You get a little more velocity out of the 8", but I got the 4.5" to replace mine. My gun started as an 8", so I got the 4.5" kit. Not sure if Sig still offers the 8".
My mpx copperhead can't even land on a human sized paper at 50 yard. Called sig. They said is a pistol what did you expect... I expect at least same accuracy than my glock...😭
Got an MPX K 4.5" one month ago. Best it can do with match grade ammo is 2.5"@25yds. Can't re-sell it for what I paid, so apparently I'll be stuck with it. 😔
There actually isn’t different calibers, they designed it to have different calibers but they never built them. Call sig and ask if you don’t believe me
great video. camera angle, lighting, sound, content, informational, dang Sir you made a great one.
You are the patron saint of private gun owners my friend
Just tap it in, just tap it in. Just give it a little tappy. Tap tap tapparoo
Go in your home. 😃

Nice video, thank you. What brand is that aluminum foregrip?
Nice overview.
Do people find that they lose their zero after removing and replacing the barrel/cleaning the piston?

This guy has so many cool toys, casually flexing on us with an M60
Man, do you have older gems as well? Oldest gun I've seen here is the M60 itself
Yeah I've got some ww1 and ww2 era guns as well. Just haven't brought them out yet.
@@armandgun Can a guy cut a 16" barrel on the MPX to convert it to a 10" barrel without gas block issues? Will it cycle properly?

curious, have you used any oil or solvent on the tappet, gas valve, or inside of the compartment in which they seated?

Belts have to be limited to 10. Been chewed out a time or two for going above 10 rds
Hi, can you put MPX 4.5 inch handguard in 8 inch barrel? I want to see how look good......

Question I have is where does the longer hand guard come from? Can’t seem to find them on sig sight
Midwest Industries has a couple for the MPX

Is this a gen 2 mpx , and what kind of handguard do you have on the 4.5

How do you get a hold of these firearms I have now seen a couple I can’t get a hold of
Great build! Is there a QD suppressor that would work with that compensator?
no.
What is the torque spec of the ILWT barrel?
Can you provide list of all your add on accessories ?
Where did you get the hand guard for the 8” barrel
You can order them straight from sig
who sells 8 inch barrel kits? i was just going to look into replacing my 4.5. thanks
What would be the advantage? Why not just get a silencer, and keep it relatively “compact”?

I've got an 8" barrel and handguard on mine if you'd like to trade!
@@vernievuittonif he has not traded with you i would!
If the pistol braces become banned, plan b is to buy a 16 in barrel and rewatch this video.
Where can i find 8’ inch barrel
Pretty sure thier 27 t on the torx for barrel
Badass!
What is the brake on the short barrel?

Me too. Fostech is really backed up on orders.
Check out In Lead We Trust for a nice threaded barrel and go suppressed. 😉
Dude seriously how do you have all of these guns still after the assault weapons ban your minister just passed
He's had all them before the ban
the buyback program won't happen for another 1.5 years or so. it's an amnesty period.
Who makes this hand stop on the hand guard
Aeroknox
Not torqued to 60lbs?
40 for the MPX (unless it has changed recently on the K variants).
MCX is 60 - maybe that's what you're thinking.
Chris Sommers thanks for replying,I was thinking MCX,I enjoy your content
Where can I get the 8” barrel?

where i can find the 8" barrel ?? In my country they only have 4.5" barrel
In lead we trust barrel website i believe
