In this video, we're going to cover how trophies are getting reworked in an upcoming Brawl Stars update! Brawl Stars is reworking the trophy reset, which will reward more players for the time that they put into the game! I think its good that people who hit rank 35 are getting rewarded but think after they should keep that reward up after but make it 10 brawlers need rank 50 or something to give people something other than progression as a reward for hitting a milestone

I like it, but I feel like it's going to be too easy to hit the max tier. Some people don't care about the cosmetics which boxes give. There won't be any respect looking at someone's ranks. And does it mean that the maximum amount of trophies for now will be 84?
Exactly I also think that they should give a spray or something for getting a rank 30 ( probably because I am too nooby to get r35) but r35 is one of the biggest achievements in the game but max rank Dosent feel like that

i don't get the point of critique in this comment, people push to 35 purely for the cosmetic aspect of it, why wouldn't these people push past rank 50 so they can get the box, how can somone push to rank 35 and then not care about the boxes, sure, pushing 3k on bull will be more reasonable, but now Pika will push bull to like 5k if not 6k, sweaty players will be able to flex even bigger numbers on their brawlers, and in the entire account as a whole, but mediocre players will now be able to feel good getting that rank 50, besides, if you have 10 rank 35 brawlers you'll get a cool title after the update drops, so it's not like your achievement (if you can even call rank 35 one) will not be recognised.

I don't like the trophy change, they should've just added the new rewards to the current system because having every brawler at 1000 trophies and being reset to exactly 1000 trophies every season is gonna mean basically everyone has the exact same amount of trophies all the time. I much prefer the partial resets of the current system.

I think this interesting, I am not a trophy pusher and have never been. I think the new approach is interesting but I am also concerned about the complete removal of total trophy matchmaking, if now 10k players get matched up against 50 or higher it wont be fair and I have fear that this will accur often.

I'm kinda mad about this change. I just got to the point where I can push to 1000 if I really grind and now it's not gonna mean as much since the progression is getting easier. Ive never been a fan of them making it easier to gain trophies bc it just moves the trophy count up for the same skill

I mean with the current system high ranks are worthless. I could very easily have pushed any brawler to rank 30 and probably even some to rank 35 during the spongebob event with two club members. And there’s showdown too of course, if you team it’s super easy. Win streaks make it stupid too because you can raise your win streaks on other brawlers. And finally due to the lack of rewards many strong players don’t push high in trophies.

I like the idea of reworking trophies ladder because it’s been like this since forever but i don’t really know if it’s what I would have wanted, like there’s a really rewarding feeling from hitting new ranks but in the new system that doesn’t really feel like it’ll be the same. Maybe it’s my nostalgia kicking in, maybe I’m just not used to the idea of change.
I have been very 50/50 on things before and then turned out to like it, so I think giving it a shot is great and I’ll possibly end up liking this more than the old system only time will tell

Okay, so that means that every reset, people who have all brawlers above 1000 trophies will be reset to the number of brawlers x 1000. That is EXTREMELY tiring and there won't be people like JuanCarlos with most trophies which simply isn't cool.

Ok for a long time player this just sounds horrible, I dont want to be matched with/against casual players when Im trying to push higher. Not only does it feel very boring to do so but also this just makes high trophies worthless because its so dependent on matchmaking luck.
Really hope they seriously reconsider that decision, I like all the other changes but that part alone just removes all competitiveness and turns ladder into a gacha game
They better make some major improvements to ranked if this is going to be their new take with ladder because theres actually no competitive aspect in this game anymore

casual players that hit 1000 trophies arent gonna be noobs that dont know how to play bro, its not that incredibly easy to reach 1000 trophies, its not gonna be that bad
and like he said in the video, there are a lot more casual players than pro players, so in general this is a benefit to most people, though i do get where youre coming from
but youre acting like ladder matches at that point are gonna be a easy win or impossible to win game which realistically is not gonna happen
also ranked is already pretty good enough for competiteveness id say, as modifiers get removed at around masters if im not wrong

I don't know if they have a way to track it, but a way to show off the time frame that you got a brawler's mastery in would be really nice. Even if it was just within one year of masteries coming out, two years, etc. Right now you can't really show off more than 3 or 4 masteries at a time, and as time goes on masteries are suffering from a kind of inflation- at a point it will basically just become a pseudo badge to show that you've played the game for a year or two. Some way to distinguish the accomplishments of masteries and assure they don't start to feel like participation trophies would be really nice
I'm actually so excited for this, thanks for the heads up Kairos! Highest I've gotten was in the high 800's, feeling way more motivated to play higher now, and my Squeak can finally be played outside of ranked again.

I like to push trophies on ladder because it feels very rewarding when you reach a rank, like rank 30, 32, 34, etc, and not really for the rewards but for the fun of it. I would have that rank displayed on top of that brawler that I never lose so I can also show that off(I might've missed something at the prestige part that I didn't understand). Players who reached 1000-1200 trophies before this basically lose their achievements after this update drops. As a free-to-play player in the middle of progression, I don't care about skins and cosmetics, because of the amount of coins needed to max each brawler now that hypercharges are being added. Plus you will need to have a lot of brawlers maxed/almost maxed to get that 3000 season trophies for the box. Personally I would prefer to stay with this current ladder and I think Supercell shouldn't rework the game so much.

that is stupid you lose 490 max and 20 min.
The most you could possibly lose is 480 (granted you don't have any brawlers over 1500), and that's in the very rare case that you have every brawler exactly 1 trophy below the reset cutoff. Even than you get it back in less than an hour
I was excited for ladder changes... but this just sounds awful. I know most people won't share my thoughts seeing as it only affects people who actually care about pushing overall trophies, but having every brawler reset to 1000 at the end of season sounds terrible

This update will take a long grind for me because my highest rank is rank 27 frank and atleast i need 1 rank 30 or 35
Right when I hit 70k the trophy road gets extended again.. same as 50k..
The joy of pushing high and competetively was not for bling and rewards but rather from the joy of seeing a good rank next to your brawler, such as rank 35. This change is really bad.

I look forward to it. My goal used to always be to get all brawlers to rank 20 because that's where the "late game" practically begins, but I probably achieved that 3 years ago and then just brought the newest one back to 20 and otherwise just a bit randomly played all brawlers. Sometimes I set myself the goal of reaching rank 25 or 30, but I didn't have much more goals.
But now I'll have as much motivation again to get Brawler to 1000 until I have it with everyone, which can definitely take a while.

I feel like these changes won't age well; if everyone above 1000 trophies is in the same matchmaking, leaderboard grinding is going to lose all meaning, since the players with rank 35 right now are generally going to be matched against current ~700 trophies players once everyone reaches 1000 trophies. I feel like the system is just going to be an even larger grind for the top players and the game will lose more skill expression.
How did they think the matchmaking changes were a good idea, this is like the opposite of my problem with the system. Now I’m going to be put in matches with even more terrible randoms…

I've been playing since January 2019. Trophies suck at 800. You win then lose (or lose then win) but get -1 trophy. WHAT'S THE POINT! Every trophy reset the trophies decrease to one before the limit, so you have to win one game to maintain those trophies. Remember the above, that's the problem. 700 trophies is not as bad (w-l or l-w = 0 trophies) but still kinda sucks.
Changing the lack of benefit AND minimizing trophy decreasing, I can professionally say this is POGGERS!

The only thing i don't like with this update is the exclusive title and the exclusive pin.
I care so much about cosmetics. I have every exclusive cosmetic I could get.
But i have never pushed to rank35 and I want those cosmetics but I will never get those 😭😭😭

One thing I like about this is that it completely negates the advantage wintraders get by "earning" trophies.
There's no reason to wintrade over 1k now, and wintrading is a lot harder because of the faster matchmaking, meaning that you know the people at the top of the leaderboard are actually the best, and not the scummiest.

Is there going to be a total Trophies Leaderboard still? If so wouldn’t this make a HUGE upset in the current standings, because all you need is every brawler 1k to have 84k and everyone will be there when the update drops.

Tier 50 being 1000 trophies makes no sense. The max tier should be almost unachievable by most players unless they dedicate a ton of time and are skilled at that brawler like how tier 35 was.
The max tier is no longer an actual tier it is instead the highest level boxes and if your really good then the prestige’s
First impression of moving the reset up to 1000 trophies and making it a little easier to get there is that I'm going to have to go through the pain of getting new brawlers up to 1k instead of just 500. But it should be way better now because finally the devs are moving back to only counting brawler trophies instead of account trophies, so I won't be going against absolute sweats whenever I try to play on my 100 trophy Draco.

What about players/content creators who push records in total trophies? If ALL seasonal trophies are reset they can lose huge amounts of their total trophies after grinding them so long.
You’re worrying about 1% of players. The rest of the 99% playerbase will not have this issue.
If you’re a company, its not logical to cater your decisions for 1% of your customers. Stop thinking like a child.
This is horrible honestly, I think the matchmaking should be even more tied to total trophies, I absolutely hate being matched up with randoms at like 5k-20k trophies while I'm sitting at 50k it's just not fair.

Total trophies make some Rank pushes harder than they prob should be so I am pretty happy
My biggest issue time management, the game feels really good but bad at the same time, like when am I gonna have time to play lots of ranked and ladder
It'll be so much fun to face the same brawlers over and over because there's no mm penalty for pushing a single brawler. Especially for new brawlers in early access, right now the tryharders can just push them to r35 in a day and it's fine, now everyone will need to suffer them for a full month because this system will obviously be abused. I won't even talk about the lack of competitiveness, because they're basically doing the same thing that they did to ranked, and we already know what happened

My concern with removing trophy based matchmaking is that it may make things worse, I have 70k and I get paired with people below 40k usually, which isn’t fair becuase even though our brawlers are the same trophies our skill is very different

I think the trophy for solo and team should be different. Because of solo everyone will reach 1000 trophy for new system by just sitting in the bush.

the trophy reset rework is so important, as the trophies got inflated so much in the last years
They are making it worse for people who just troll. Part of the problem before was I had 50k trophies but got matched with people with 30k or less total trophies. This usually meant they were not that good and just got the one brawler way up in individual trophies and then they just troll. Now that underdog is removed after 1k trophies this will also let more trolling to happen. I think there needs to be a report button in normal matches just like in ranked. I'm tired of getting matched up against people who are not good and just have one brawler high in trophies by getting carried there. Unless it's an automatic you easy can get 1k trophies this doesn't sounds fun with all the people that troll
I get the FOMO about the pin and the title. I never pushed brawlers very high in trophies, never had anyone above 800. I focused more on progressing my account. I only have all brawlers since a few days ago and my fame rank is still global 1 of course. Now is when pushing individual brawlers even became an interesting option for me and now I get the info that basically if I don't get some Brawler to Rank 35 within 2 weeks I won't get that pin
Also the title is probably pretty cool and possibly it might even have a different color than the mastery or brawl pass ones. Heavily doubt I can get that until the update

They didn't mess up the names lmao. In modern English usage, "mega" is considered bigger than big. It doesn't matter if "mega" means big in greek; the idea of the word "mega" being bigger than the word "big" is conveyed in a lot of media and games. Brawl Stars is just hopping on the old trend.
And no one cares if something is named after a greek letter. Like I've said, "omega" in modern English usage just means the box is great/big.
Big question here for you Kairos, I'm not sure if Brawl Stars said it, but are your total season trophies losable? Say you are over 1,000 trophies with Shelly, win, get to 1,008, your season trophies go up to 8, then you lose, and say you lose 7 trophies on Shelly, does your seasonal trophies then go down to 1, or stay at 8?

i hope they incorporate progression into trophies past 1k. Theres no reason to push except for cosmetics. If they gave ~5-10 coins for every season trophy you could realistically get 5k-15k coins every season depending on how much you push... which sounds really nice
So there's just no more point in pushing higher up in trophies now? All the people with r35s and how they can flex and everything, all of that will be wasted? nobody will be able to see the true skill and achievements people had done previously in the seasons???
Depending on how many rank 35s you had you get special rewards? Is that not enough and you shouldnt even be able to argue about this when you have no r35s!
There is an all time leader board, so pros can still push as high as possible with a certain brawler to flex.
There is also a season prestige system so you can still flex that

We needed a ladder and trophy remake but I honestly expected to have at least 3 rank 35 by then. I only got 2 rank 32 right now.

As a 80k, I was predicting rank 40 to be released because trio Showdown increased so much the ranks 30 and 35 in the game, so much they are now worthless and with this update, they are hiding the inflation, hiding WINTRADERS , and now for players like me that started pushing 1100 (without showdown).
This update will make the game more active
The matchmaking considering brawler trophies is actually a terrible idea for anyone who dares to play a random game

Nooooo they are ruining trophie league that's just not good for good players fr😢😢😢😢. Back when trophies meant something without win streaks r30 actually felt like an accomplishment, so sad to see this changes but I understand its for the majority of the player base which are kids still sad to see 😢😢😢
I can't wait for this update!! I think that creating a space for competitive trophies is exactly what long-term players needed right now and I bet some of you can agree when I say that I have teammates literally throwing matches at 900 trophies. So hopefully alongside this new Trophy Season there will be a report system just to that way people have to take the matches more seriously. And if that's the case that will save my sanity thank god
i wish they kept the accomplishment and icon you get for your ranks for specific brawlers. Now after you reach a certain, more casual point, everything you do for that brawler is overall leaderboards that disappear after the season and the leaderboard icon in your profile doesnt show the brawler its just that you reached it. You could say mastery is the new indicator but now the points for that are gonna get boosted too

yes, i’ve been back in the game since the godzilla event and i feel like we haven’t gotten anything game changing in a long time, this is great.
I mean a rework of the trophy system is good but I don’t like that it takes any value of people who pushed r30 or higher away. I hope they add a feature where you can see the rank you had with the brawler before the rework and maybe something that shows how far beyond max rank you pushed in a season
My concern is for players like me who aren't the most competitive but are still good at the game.
My goal and was to push everyone to r30, which i could do semi-casually while still enjoying the game and not making it feel like a big grind like r35 is. But now that r30 is gonna be basically r25 in order of how difficult it is to get idk. Am i grinding for just more max trophies on my profile? What is there for me to do now!?
Also basically all the rank 30s I've already gotten mean NOTHING now as it will be easier to get to 1k trophies.

Edit: Also some other issues i think are gonna appear for max players. Don't get me wrong the permanent brawler leaderboards are an awesome implementation, but with the change to how matchmaking works is it gonna be based on skill or who grinds the most amount of time?
Overall there are many questions we need answered, we'll just have to wait and see.
