    Lyrics
    Oh!
Call me good, call me bad
Call me anything you want to baby
    But I know, uh-huh, that you're sad
And I know I'll make you happy
With the one thing that you never had
    Baby I'm your man
Don't you know that? Baby I'm your man
You bet, if you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me
    So good, you're divine
Wanna take you, wanna make you
But they tell me it's a crime
Oh, everybody knows where the good people go
But where we're going baby, ain't no such word as: "no"
Baby, I'm your man, don't you know who I am?
    Baby, I'm your man
You know, you bet, if you're gonna do it, do it right, right
Do it with me (come on baby)
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right (yeah)
(Ooh, take me home) do it with me
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
(Please don't leave me here) do it with me
If you're gonna do it, do it right
    Do it on my own
    First class information (oh-oh)
    Sense your inspiration
    With some stimulation (ahh)
Ooh yeah, we can do it right (oh)
    (Ooh)
So why waste time, with the other guys?
    When you can have mine
I ain't asking for no sacrifice
Baby our friends do not need to know
I've got a real nice place to go
Listen, I don't need you to care
I don't need you to understand, yeah
All I want is for you to be there
And when I'm turned on, if you want me
I'm your man (I'm your man)
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me (oh)
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me (oh)
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Now listen
If you're gonna do it, you know what I say?
If you're gonna do it, don't throw it away
    Don't throw it baby
    Don't throw it because
I'll be your boy, I'll be your man
I'll be the one who understands
I'll be your first, I'll be your last
I'll be the only one you ask
I'll be your friend, I'll be your toy
I'll be the one who brings you joy
I'll be your hope, I'll be your pearl
I'll take you halfway 'round the world
I'll make you rich, I'll make you poor
    Just don't use the door
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me
If you're gonna do it, do it right, right
    Do it with me

My Dad used to work for him, his driver. Apparently & unlike many others, George would always prefer to sit at the front & would quite often from nowhere bust out a song & start singing. He told me that it was hard to fathom the scale of his talent, it simply defied belief. What George Michael did in entertaining us during his career was exactly what he was put on this Earth to do. You can't be that good for any other reason. His passing was a disaster & it still stings me but you just can't help but smile when watching this. An incredible artist.

I am 51 and even though I wasn't into this music when it came out it does make me reflect on the good times of the 1980s. We had no idea how good we had things. It sounds cliche but the world really is just getting worse and worse. I am glad I never had children because it is next to impossible to get ahead for the average person and owning a home is starting to become nothing more than a dream to far too many people in urban centers.

After watching the Wham! documentary on Netflix I realized that Andrew Ridgeley's influence on George Michael's career was huge. He was the one that encouraged George Michael to continue with his music career despite his insecurities. The friendship between them was real, sincere and genuine. Despite George's success in his solo music career, Andrew did not envy him. Therefore it was even more sad when Andrew got this phone call about George Michael's death. The pain of this loss would have been horrific for poor Andrew. I was always more charmed by Andrew and after seeing the documentary even more.

    • @Nhamp2000
      @Nhamp2000 Год назад +13

I found that to be the most interesting part of the documentary. When you think about how egos can get in the way, and it didn't happen with them, even when Andrew admitted that George's songwriting had progressed to the point where he did all of it. He seemed genuinely happy for George's success and it's great that they remained friends to the end and he has no bitterness about his time in the industry.

In 1985 the chorus of this song, "If you're going to do it, do it right," helped to save my life and has been my guiding philosophy about life ever since. I have autoimmune autonomic ganglionopathy. As with most lifelong painful and potentially lethal diseases, the great challenge of survival is not physical but psychological. Since November of 1985, I never waste five minutes on anything I don't feel 100% right about, even things that are relatively trivial. If I do anything I do it right and that has been true for over 30 years. I don't think I would have survived this disease without it. I thought so many times about writing to George to tell him what his song did for me, but I thought he got so much fan mail he'd probably never even read it. Now I wish to the bottom of my heart that I had written that letter. George, your songs were so imbued with love that even a f*** song was life-affirming and, in my case, life-saving.

I am in my late 40's and let me tell ya.. I have been around long enough to see of many singers, actors etc. pass away.. I can't explain it, None has gotten to me like the passing of George Michael. I just can not for the life of me wrap my head around this one.. It like, this just can't be... There is no way... Not HIM!!! His passing has just really gotten to me.. I have loved him/ his voice from day 1. For heaven sake, I was born and bred on Elvis, and I remember the news over the radio that Elvis has passed away. It did not bother me anywhere near in the way the news of George Michael passing has.. This one is really really tough for me.. I grew up listening to Prince, Michael Jackson. {All kinds of music }and Still those did not bother me as much ..I am just at a total loss in my life.. I never saw any of them in concert. never met a one of them.. But George Michael... this is worse than anything I have ever felt in my life over a person in general

Christina everything that you said is EXACTLY how I feel. I loved Elvis and I remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard of his passing. With George I just can't stop mourning his death. It's like a deep deep sadness that won't go away and not to mention this is for someone that I have never met, but I think a lot of the sadness is because he was such a good man, humble and so down to earth, like a regular person and also the way he adored and loved his mother. He was just a beautiful soul. I havent even touched on his talent, he truly was one of a kind artist and I will always mourn his passing.

Wham was Hot at the time and this song helped cement my time in the 80's! Man talk about good times! Rest in Power George Michael and Deon Estus!

I always enjoyed WHAM! and George Michael's music in the 80s. But it is only in recent years that I have begun to appreciate just how good his voice was. The fact that he could keep up in a duet with Aretha Franklin says it all. So sad he was gone too soon.
