Featured on the double platinum album 'Home' - the eighth studio album by British pop and soul band Simply Red, released in 2003. This video has been remastered from the original tapes to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ‘Home’ album in March 2023.
Home is the first Simply Red album released on band frontman Mick Hucknall's own record label, Simplyred.com. The album was a success all around the world, and includes the hit singles, "Sunrise", "Fake", "You Make Me Feel Brand New" and "Home".

It is a master piece but dont forget that the real authors of the music rithm in this song are Darryl Hall and John Oats, and that this is an adaptation of the theme "I can´t go for that (no can do)" of the same band i told before. And i tell more, the same Michael Jackson conffessed in sometime that he took the rithm of Billy Jean from the song i can go for that. So the real great glory must be displayed for Darryl Hall and John Oats (Hall and Oats)

1) *Yes, Simply Red are sampling "I Can't Go For That"*
2) *Yes they got permission from "Hall & Oates" to do so*
3) *No, they are not infringing on copyright laws as they got approval before hand to sample the track and they gave acknowledgment to "H&O" in the writing credits meaning they can't be sued*

+wildthing302 - Because when someone is officially listed in the writing credits for a song, they get royalty payments from the sale of said song.
Further to that if they don't, they have grounds to sue for as well as a lack of acknowledgement in the credits if they are not included among the list of writers,
Hall & Oates haven't sue or complain about being not be paid or acknowledged as writers. Simply Red went through the correct process to avoid legal issues down the track

Ive seen many great bands but Simply Red were the best by far Mick is cheeky and sassy but he has the voice of an angel He nailed this song and has us all on our feet and in the palm of his hand I will never forget it.
