People looked like they were genuinely enjoying themselves in this video. Nowadays everyone looks awkward and care about how their every move looks because of the Internet. There's a ton of awesome things that the Internet brought but I feel it messed up the world at the same time, globalisation. Was life really better back then? I'm feeling really sad right now lol

IIRC, this video was inspired by the late Fred Astaire, God rest his soul, who, in one of his movies WAS dancing on the ceiling. If I also remember correctly, Fred was dancing on a ceiling that was actually on the floor and it was made to look like he was dancing on the ceiling. Also, in the movie Easter Parade, Fred was dancing slowly in one scene and the people behind him in that same scene was dancing at normal speed in the same scene.

In the film Royal Wedding (1951), the scene featuring the song "You're All the World to Me" was filmed by building a set inside a revolving barrel and mounting the camera and its operator to an ironing board which could be rotated along with the room. Astaire danced in the barrel set as if he really danced on the wall and ceiling. It inspired the Lionel Richie song "Dancing on the Ceiling" with the music video featuring Richie doing the same room dance as a tribute to Astaire.

There was also a sci-fi movie called "Upside Down" a while ago. 2012, I think? Twin planets, gravity reversed, something like that.
And getting two sets of dancers, with one upside down, in the same shot, isn't rocket science: it's a composite shot.

Truly the 80s was the best decade ever. Hope one day someone somehow invents time traveling. So I can stay there and never come back.

Mmmm yes if you do get a hold of a time machine, try not to get involved at all with the Challenger disaster, John Lennon's death, AIDS, Iran contra affair, Chernobyl, Exxon Valdez, etc. Lol just saying, every time period has good times and bad

It was the most optimistic decade. All I keep saying lately is I wish I had a time machine.

I was born in 1962 but my first recollection of the music scene was the Supremes, the Beatles, the Monkeys, Smokey Robinson, James Brown, Lulu, plus a whole slew of o the artist. Then came the 70s with the Jackson 5, the Osmond Brothers, Donna Summer, Yvonne Elliman and others. But the 80s.....oh wow........! What a wonderful decade.
