Bar,now they use fiberglass rod, shear strength is what your after. No bar. No shear strength, ...more the better,,,especially if 100%. Backfilled on one side,,,I offset my walls when doing big retaining jobs, I design them and install them,,peace,,,

White blocks are like being in a microwave. We had a project that was over 5,000 sq. Ft. We poured a stem wall then poured the slab then stacked blocks all the way up including the gables. The slab gave us great anchoring for the braces, but it was a very hot July and having walls that were 11 feet to 26 feet tall was terrible inside those white blocks. Great review and points!

The other "dollar stores" build parking lots and slabs the same way. One about 10 miles from me has a single pour for sidewalk and parking lot at least (maybe the store too), and now one of the front doors won't open, it hits the concrete. I think they just poured in right on the old farmland where they built it, with no base other than a few inches of sand. 🙄 I haven't been in there in a couple of years, but I'd be willing to bet they "fix" it by trimming the bottom of the aluminum door frame off, rather than busting out the concrete.

Second of all... I completely understand the idea of “resistance” vs “proof”. However, if a population of deer has all the roughage, vitamin and minerals(salts too), and sweets they want... why would they decide to freely pound down a “deer resistant” tree? These deer are happy and healthy. So..
Why label a product “deer resistant” when it seems some deer prefer them over sweet feed, shelled corn, fresh apples, nice alfalfa and orchard grass, and pretty much everything else they are given? That’s the problem. They seem to be “deer resistant” with some populations and not others. 😂

I still can't dance, but back in the day we used to use a jitterbug. I'm pretty sure my boss was just teaching me a life lesson. kek. It was around 1am when we finished hand-troweling that porch. Thanks, Michael.

I’m surprised they don’t have a storm water management plan!
You need them here in Canada to build a parking lot. A plan and then a permit.
    Good video DP👍👍

Don't know the circumstances concerning your father but sorry to hear that. I hate to see pastures turned into Dollar General parking lots and housing subdivisions but as they say "that is progress". Still don't like it though.

36:55 Another option is to put a grading bucket backwards on the mini and have the skidsteer dump into it, and use the mini to reach out and place the gravel.
But then that's slightly more rube goldberg than having the skidsteer dump inside the stewall as it was and pushing with a wider grading bucket or the rock bucket that was already on the mini.
Or like Chris does sometimes, grabbing a mat or a log or a form board or whatever's handy with the thumb and grading/pushing with it.

I think you need to keep busting on Mr. Millennial or his ego will inflate to the point that he considers himself management just like MBTS. Once he gets to that level there’s no changing him as we’ve all seen.
You must have been successful with Captain Kleeman because he seems to know his place or has been humbled by other “incidents”.
Robbie just stays in the background doing the work so it seems that Mr. Millennial is your main “concern” that you could have any hope with. 😉
    😂🤣😂🤣

Are you sure that Dollar General isn't using fiberglass-reinforced concrete for the pad? It should be easy to see the glass strands close up. We poured a 6" pad, no rebar, and had no issues parking an 8 ton R.V. on it.

Why do your concrete suppliers always use the old fashioned pre-mix type rather than newer volumetric kind which mixes exactly what is needed. I'd have through will custom jobs like this they would be far more suitable.

They didn't put rebar in to tie the footing to the stem wall. Also, what is the frost depth there? 6" ?? :)
