After 4 weeks on this job we are about to wrap it up. Still lots left to go and we encounter more problems as in stuck trucks and cracked tanks. Stay tuned to see how we over come them all to complete the job.

I think you should market the narrow bucket as a "Pipe bucket" a DP specialty bucket ! I definitely agree with your statement at the end, it was a team effort and a job well done !!
Only way to teach someone is to give them the basics and go away. It’s everybody’s first day some day.
If the only “problem” with Jerry is that he makes it look easy then that’s a pretty good problem to have.
I agree and his language lol
@@DirtPerfect pretty sure the language would get you more views... Lol
Mr. dirt perfect don’t you imagine when you first start operating somebody looked at you and said wow that guy needs help.
i bet they still do at times!! haha
They probably said, 'this guy has no future as an operator'. 😉
Not with operating. You can tell within 10 minutes if someone has it or not. Not a job for everyone, good operators make it look easy
@@brianbanks3882
Yep. Operating equipment is like brain surgery and rocket science all rolled into one. You can either do it your first try or not.
I tried it and I kept getting the medulla oblongata in at the wrong slope. They said the good ones make it look easy and that maybe I ought to give up operating on brains and try operating equipment.
Can't say I ever had to deal with a broken septic tank but that is one heck of a broke out the box situation LOL :-) :-)
I enjoy the variety and narration. The drone footage makes me want to buy one.
Thanks
Those drones are expensive so start saving!
The delivery guy was doing some 4 wheeling while you were out looking for him. He musta caught air to crack that tank. ;)
Gday from Australia boys....Happy New Year....:-) Love watching your Channel ....Keep up the good work....:-)
Thanks
The sand Matt messed around will improve the soil drainage you know, so it wasn't really a waste of material.
Lmao “it’s painful to watch” been there, just gotta turn your head
Good morning Dirt Perfect. Am enjoying you making fun at the Volvo operater. I love the way you guys make light of the job at hand. Keep the moral up buddy it does help
DP, as always this project looks good and look forward to upcoming project's👍🤗
We call job hiccups: another opportunity for success. Keeps the crew positive and keeps things moving. Classroom time is valuable for everyone. Great video! Enjoy the weekend!
Looks great. Someday you just gotta go with it. Great to see Jerry again. Stay safe
Another 👍to a great team doing a great job! DP you my friend r truly blessed with guys who give a yit.DP you might not notice it but watching your videos when jerry is there you are more stupendous! Greatness is contagious. 🤣. If that's even possible. Keep up the quality work. 💪✌
Jerry seems happier on the Deere.
You and the crew did good.
It was a big job, with many parts.
The owner should be very happy.
“tanks” for the video....😂
This is one awesome channel, great entertainment with all the banter you guys have going. Mikes pulling his hair out at how Matt is struggling to get to grips with the finer points of operating the track hoe, Matt has to be careful not to sing Mikes praised or his head won’t fit through the door soon lol and Jerry is an old style cool guy.
Really enjoyed this very big build and all the videos, looking forward to your 2021 videos guys 😉
Thanks appreciate that
Everybody likes Jerry, he is a darn good operator. Stem walls, we call them pony walls?? same thing. Happy new year
Mr dirt perfect, you remind me of coach Bobby Knight ( There goes himself)
When Jerry gave you the thumbs up, I honestly didn’t expect that to be the finger he held up. Haha
I just thought it’s a thumb 👍🏻and not the finger 🖕🏻so all’s good.
I think Jerry wanted to use the finger. Then realized it's RUclips. Never mind. Lol God bless
Just a little thought. How many times has the
construction of that narrow bucket paid off?
Making it Happen...Im thinking it was probably a used trenching bucket, and I’ve seen them use it on 4 jobs. It probably paid off, that’s what I’m guessing. The captain also used it on a drainage job he was doing too...it was a couple hundred feet of french drain I think.
@@deplorablelibertarian He built it in a video, a while ago.
I did not find it, but it is somewhere in the other videos.
Proper job Mike as always.
Couldn’t help but think the Tank Delivery Guy might not have been better investing in a decent Ex Military Grab / HIAB Wagon with Off road capabilities.
We used to use tri axle Scammels with proper of road wheels which were just as capable on the road.
Very seldom would you get stuck once you locked the Drives and selected LowRatio.
Dad is retired 150 operator. Ran cat 325. Case 580. Cat d9. Many more. Thinks ur pretty good. Thats from him.
That was how to make a perfect RUclips video, really enjoyed this one Mr DP. many thanks.
Thanks Jim
You and Matt have a very passive aggressive relationship 😂😂
I think its a great idea to lay all that dirt down to help the elevation around the house
😕😮 It's a good thing you filled er with H20 to test er out, before calling er complete!
Great job, it was funny throwing Matt under the bus, good thing you’re all friends. Jerry is amazing he even smiled. Thanks for sharing. Kevin
I think you have done a great job and thanks for sharing everything with us, a few hiccups but wouldn't be a job without them thanks 🤣 👍
Great work I always had fun delivering to construction sites except when there wasn't any equipment to pull me out lol
A gallon of water weighs about 8.33 pounds, so ~240 Gallons = 1 Ton.
Mike I've got a machine and fabrication shop in arkansas ill build buckets like that or another kind of buckets or skid steer equipment if anybody is in need of anything like that get in contact with me
Smart crew. He said “ stay away from that chain” when you had to pull the septic truck. That chain could cut somebody’s head off if it broke.
Seems like that's the way the "cookie crumbles" most of the time. Lol 😎
" I am talking to my people" ... I have never seen an above ground leech field before. I guess each state and regulations are different. That is going to be one heck of a home site.
Covered that very well in the video before this
@@DirtPerfect Thanks I will go back and take another look.
Great to see Matt there to keep you humble! That is certainly going to be a nice looking house sitting up on the hill. Thank You, Mr. DP for the great video 👍👍!
Awesome Job! Looks amazing! Excellent Job to all your workers also!
Thanks
Mike, I've always explained to my crew's?
Mistakes will happen, an it's always a learning lesson.
Keeping it lighthearted an jovial, that's what makes the job bearable, regardless the setbacks involved.
Lol if anyone gets behind him carrying that tank back they are gonna think it’s something besides water leaking.
It would be nice to see that property after house us built and landscaping complete.
Hey, I find it perplexing how you complain on every video about power of your Volvo, then I watch Letsdig18 ripping through giant boulders weighing 15-20 thousand pounds. Seems like you either purchased the wrong machine or your dealers support staff that say there is nothing wrong with your machine are incompetent. Maybe you need to escalate your concerns higher up at Volvo and have them specify the weight your machine is capable of. Or your just bought the wrong machine, and you need too just move on and get it fixed or trade for what will work for your needs.
Cover that very check out the video
Every time I see someone with white ear pods in I get a flashback of that well known scene in "Theres something about Mary," and throw up a little on the inside.
The lackadaisical barometer analogically melt because fact ultrastructurally chop below a screeching odometer. synonymous, spiritual john
Have know idea what you said but thanks for watching
Think you can be all rightly proud of this job, just went to prove old school setting out still works!!!
Am I right in remembering this is Gunners' teachers new home you were on ? If so I think Gunner may get some good marks this year 😜
Better to find the crack in the tank now before you left site, wonder if you will now fill all the tanks you install from now on?
And to get a thumbs up from Jerry, doesn't get much better than that!!!!
Thanks Alex
All the tank trucks round here have knuckle boom crains on them.
Great job with a great crew.
Thanks
great cam view inside skid steer over your left shoulder
I wana know when someone is gona put a wiggle the stick button on excavators and skid steers etc.
We did not have to give them a house plan or anything. Only how many bedrooms. No perk test and they tell us were to put everything.
I enjoyed watching but I have a few questions I had an excavating business for over 30yrs so this isn't new to me I was wondering why you didn't backfill inside the porch foundations and fill inside the garage foundation plus you never stoned inside the cellar footing to prep for the floor ????
Not in my contacts the concert guys do that
If it is okay with the home owner, I would love to see a drone shot of this project once the house is finished.
As always, Mike and crew, great work.
You make it all look so easy. I know it isn't.
👍
before you know it your gonna have jerry on speed dial
Well done DP and crew, great job, and you make a fine boss judging by the comradery on the job. America is still the land of the free.
Thanks
WHY DOES EVERYONE SAY YOU HAVE A BIG HEAD. MBE TIME TO TONE IT DOWN WITH A LITTLE HUMBLENESS
Nice looking job good size project 👍💯💯
DP look for railroad cribbing bucket on the web
Aren't you glad you caught that leak before it got covered up
Yes
Since you've not been shy about sharing your thoughts on skid steer vs dozer for moving dirt around would you mind sharig your thoughts on tractor loader vs skid steer for backfilling around a basement like you were doing in this video and similar stuff?
Do have a old video ok that but yes
Love the Harley raking! You guys did a great job rough grading, so it’s your finish grading and seed prep all in 1 step!
Nice job very tidy, like the fly pass with the plant all lined up just gives that extra edge of professionalism. Looking forward to the next and the next. Well done your attitude and work ethic takes me back to the time I stood in similar 'boots' stay safe.
Thanks
Business as usual Jerry pushing you and you tanked out. Lol God bless
It’s great mat getting the chance it’s were we all started
The home owner missed an easy opportunity to install pipes to carry roof rain water away from the house. Or are they going to harvest it? Harvesting and rain water tanks are normal features on big properties in Australia.
Not a big think here
It's not a problem having potty mouth when you are working on a septic system, is it?
Lol good ?
To be fair. You did tell them not to touch it in the last video. hehe
That truck was only stuck on one side.
Awesome work and video Mike. This one was definitely one of favorites to watch!
Thanks
You should definitely go back and get a drone shot of the house once it’s framed
👍
The reason the tank failed is that you loaded it with water without back fill. The concrete will crack without back fill.
I did exactly what the tank company wanted me to do 🤷♂️
Gotta love the job sites where you drag the trucks in and push 'em out.
Yup
Congrats, this is one of your better videos. Keep em coming.
Thanks, will do!
why did you name yourself Dirt perfect.
Long story cover that in one of my pod cast check it out few point from perfect on yout
Because everything he does is perfect
Is this where you ended up building the large pond between the house and the road
Yes
Tanks alot for the video
I have never seen a field bed above grade. Is that due to a high water table, or another design purpose?
No hard pan
Robbie.... welcome to the crew! They need someone to keep them honest... and honestly you made my day when you served a dose to them about raking all that sand!!!
Mikey, Jerry, Cap’n, TMBS, Matt and Robbie this build was well played! From planning to finishing, you did an excellent job. Thanx for showing how it is supposed to be done!!!!
Great work and Crew, including the DP Man !!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the birds eye view. It really helps the light bulb to go on.
Does your diggers have a mile gauge? Be cool to see how fare it's drove
No they don’t are at least mine don’t
I get the feeling you’re not replacing that mirror just so we keep giving the Capt crap
Sucks on the septic tank bit at least the manufacturer stepped up. Looks like DP and company are in training for the Olympics in the sport of “Throwing people under the bus”
Jerry, man of hand gestures! Grading specialist....1st class ,looks great, love to see the stick structure
Great bunch of guys DP!
Jerry wasn’t *that* mad at Matt.
👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🙏🏻 Enjoyed!
I hope Matt or Robby never break a mirror! 🤣🤣🤣 Just remember Matt, and Captain, the guy that never made a mistake, never did any work.
I wish I had that cracked septic tank. I'd bury it about half way on the hill above the old pond out back, and cut a doorway in it, to use for cold weather deer hunting.
I remember your guy starting to clean that extra mud off and you said No leave it. Guess you got what you wanted. Hehehe Your work makes me want to build again but you are a little far from Tennessee. LOL
That looks like a nice spread. I'm guessing at least 15 acre of cleared land. This guy is putting some money down here.
Great job fellas! Except for DP ratting out Matt to Jerry...cough cough... lol
Where are you going to do another video on the international paystar
Coming
Good operators are fun to watch. The one that did my work is doing a lot around the corner this week. He's spent 2 days with a CAT 321 digging in the electric line. This is the same place where they bored post holes for the post frame structures. It took 2 days with a LARGE boring machine with rock teeth.
Is that sand a spec granulation or can you use a masonry sand?
Has to be #23
🙏🙏👍👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Wonderful ! :)
Tank guy needs a Mack.
Use do My septic systems, almost same way
found it lot easier when come small office building and apt building like ..in e/Boston at ******** street add 2 tanks and run outlet pipe to open seas way have drain in to bay ,, making sure have one employees dress in good suit and carry chipboards , go in office ,,,get paid and get hell out town
good thing the tank leaked be for you covered it up
Yes
I want to say something funny but I can see things are on edge so I'll leave the jokes to Dirt Pirfect's writers today .
Note to self: Dan, Don't poke at the bear .... Wiser words were never spoken!😂
Watching Jerry operate reminds of a story my dad told me about another fantastic operator. This guy had to create a 20° slope on a 30' tall berm and just by eye and feel he was able to get it at 19° consistently. The contractor left it at 19°. Pretty amazing how good a man can get at operator a machine . I'm not an operator so maybe thats not such a big deal but, running a dozer just a bit here and there like I have it sounds amazing.
Well that turned out to be a big beautiful job, Plenty going on, and a few bits and piece's thrown in to test your skill's, All together a really interesting project.....
What if you had not put water in tank due to the coming rain, that tank would of been covered, and the leak would of been part of the system, tho the sludge on the bottom probably would of kinda sealed it up over time. So both unlucky / lucky.
the ol 'poo patrol"....I find it interesting that a guy can put cows in a pasture and they can poop anywhere but a human has to have an engineer from NASA tell them where they can poo
