Here would have been my idea. Raise the mini boom as high as it would go, ratchet strap the tower to the bucket. Cut only the back leg use the mini to guide it to the ground. those two front legs would have bent as you swung the mini boom and gently lower it to the ground but that's just me. What you all did worked as well.

Mike, really enjoy your videos. One piece of equipment that you use often, but spend very little time highlighting, is your laser level. While its set up and operation are second nature to you by now, I’d love to see some more detail about the calculations that go into establishing grade and some “tips and tricks” for use and setting it up. Situations when you are running a slope (rather then level grade) would be good. Do you run a slope manually or does your laser have a slope function? Keep up the good work! We have some projects for you but the commute to NE Ohio would be tough.

My neighbor returned a tape measure with my name on it a while back, I’d left it sitting on the top of a post in his pole barn when we built it 15 years ago. He saw something orange setting there and got it down. After using it for a couple of years he saw my name on it.
