    Great news. Game changer for your work. I’ve bought one more for the odd time we go away somewhere remote and using it to watch this video 😂 £150 on offer at the moment!

    An improvement for sure but I think there's something wrong with your wired network! Given the speeds you're getting on Wifi you should be getting the same or better on the wired LAN. Initially I'd try plugging directly into the Starlink router and retest, then into the switch via a short Cat 5E cable then try different ports in your existing wiring to try and work out where the bottleneck is! Would be interesting to see a follow up once you find the problem!

    Nice video! Did your speed to the PC ever get higher than 30Mbps? I was very surprised that WiFi was 181Mbps but then the PC was down to 30Mbps. Was any of your existing network equipment limiting it?

    Congratulations. It's difficult to think a company in the UK was operating on less than 1mb. If you're network switch is old, it might be worth changing it out for a fresh new fast one. Greetings from Ireland 1GB to the house. 🇮🇪.

      Thank you, yes it certainly was difficult. The switch is only a couple years old, but I will certainly look in to this. Thank you 👍🏼

    Im am moving to a rural location and there is NO internet in the village (only 60 people live here). I am praying that i can get this to work!!

    What length of cable did you get in the box. I expected 75’ but only got 50’. Not enough to reach my router site from outbuilding roof. Had to order 150’ to even test. More waiting unfortunately

    you need a better network switch, seems to be limiting you badly

    • @leemarsh5258
      @leemarsh5258 Год назад +1

      Exactly - you should be getting way more than 30mbps from your PC's - so either it's the NIC's in the PC's, the cabling between PC's and switch or the switch itself. Might be worth chatting to you IT provider but either way, great video and great to see this make such a big difference to a rural business.

      I think his speed was limited to 30Mb/s because he is using the additional ethernet cable. Wifi speeds should hit around 200Mb/s. So no, it's not rubbish. And he has the added advantage of not having to rely on Openreach, who can at times be absolutely crap.
