I'll definitely buy it if I had the cash, Fisayo. Why? In the long run, it is worth the money, saves one the stress of internet somersault of our usual GLO, Etisalat, MTN and Airtel wàhálà, and it will improve in the future. I want to believe that. For now, I still prefer MTN 5G. Your just and candid reviews of both Starlink and MTN 5G say it all.
Gaming latency depends on how far away you are from the game server. No matter how good your internet is, you can't get a latency below 50ms from Nigeria unless the game server is in West Africa
@@erhunmwonseredaniel2827 yea. The lowest latency I have seen is between 60-70ms in call of duty mobile. Most pc games(apex legends, overwatch, Fortnite, etc) connect to Europe servers which will give you a latency above 100ms(usually around 150ms).
I read somewhere that reason for this is because there aren’t many African gamers in Africa and as a result it wont be economical building and maintaining multiple servers in the region.
@@femiairboy94 Africa generally is a poor continent with unstable internet and electricity so it's obvious they won't make profit from us. They will lose a lot of money maintaining their game servers in West Africa. There are few game servers in South Africa though.
This is how a review should be. Balanced, unbiased, well-proven and well-researched. Not like that "tik-tok-er" who is so egocentric and ONLY dishes reviews that are biased and negative due to personal and uninformed opinions; without zero research about the product itself. You're welcome.
Splendid video as always. Your review was 100 percent spot on, zero embelishments nor exaggerations. However, I was hoping you'd address your previous tweet about having downtime during a rain. You only mentioned you had a degradation on performance now, but your previous tweet (which generated a lot of traction, if I may say) suggested otherwise. I also love the way you showed the dude that disassembled the router to fix it. Finally, regarding the ticket, a trick I learnt from another reviewer here @JCristina, is to follow up daily on the ticket. It kinda bumps you up and they tend to respond faster when you do. From my personal experience, it has taken them 6 days, 4 days and 11 days to respond to my 1st, 2nd and 3rd tickets. But once they respond, it's usually a positive one. All the same, great video man.
We already had our review edited and scheduled for publishing before the tweet. Yes, it's true that we had an outage for quite a while but it wasn't extremely long and it only happened one time. We thought the tweet would be a channel to share it but the common occurrence was slower speeds as opposed to total outages which is why it stayed in the final production.
@@subsplease-gk7yo Not everybody, watching this video in 4k would slash 7.5GB from your data plan. Starlink is 100% unlimited and that’s the main selling point.
