- I got Starlink satellite broadband! I live in the middle of nowhere, out in the sticks, rural English countryside, and I've not really had any reliable internet. Whilst I've been building our home, I've got by on a couple of sim cards in 2 mobile phones. This just wasn't sustainable though. So I opted for Starlink satellite broadband! Yes it's a tad expensive but it's so worth it for me and my other half. In this video I explain why I've gone for Starlink, explain why I need it and get onto the set up and installation...

I'm not sure I could keep up this style of editing though 🙈 it's only really possible on short subjects or projects. I think I'll probably do a little of each style just to mix it up

Just added a like to try and get you to make the rest of the video 👍 Good to see you keep the essentials in the caravan The Ardmore is an excellent whisky! Living here in the Isle of Wight I am lucky with internet speeds, I'm just about on the lowest level my provider has which gives me 100mb download speed but more importantly 100mb upload as well If I wanted or needed it I could get 900mb upload and download here.
The Ardmore got finished shortly after I recorded this 😂 wow them kind of speeds are good! I'm not sure anyone will ever find out mine unless a load more people push the 👍 😏
That’s a ferrite core, not a fuse on the cable.

Yeah I've still got it. It's slightly cheaper now. It's been fast and reliable 👍

Yes when VM went to Vodafone it really cocked up - EE was much better
It's strange how voxi was actually better even though it was on Vodafone 🤷♂️ I dropped my vm contract soon after this

@@BigCheeseTV yeah it's £460 for the equipment, but that used to be £500 😁 I suppose it's only worth it if you live in the countryside though 🤷♂️
Since you got that planning permission your humour has increased 👍 can tell it was a massive stress release for you..

Am in process of a barn purchase but awaiting planning consultant to say yes or no it’s not possible before we proceed.

@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT planning consultant is going to submit a pre application.. now wondering if the pre offer should have been agreed before we do all the leg work.
There are 5 barns but he thinks we’ll have more luck with planning if we demolish 3 and keep the two we actually want. Class q has already been used since 2013 so said you kinda have to give back to gain from the council with planning.
As to your other comment on my post, I’d love to be hands on and do it all, but with full time employment and two kids on the go then I look at what you do and think how the f..k did you think of that. Like the finch beam etc id do as much as I can like you did.
@@robertwoolford85 if class q has already been established then full planning shouldn't be an issue if class q is a fall back option. I can't see why demolishing the others would make any difference at all 🤷♂️ is your planning consultant an ex council employee?
Ah yeah, the flitch beam, well I'm a problem solver and my brain tends to work a lot different to most people haha a curse and a blessing sometimes
@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT I’ve been binge watching all your videos, it’s like a new Netflix series for me haha.
Think it states class Q can only be applied once per holding since 2013 the farmer used his class Q option already for his own house. Planning portal shows have tried to apply class q on these already and they have failed for that reason.
He said only option we got is full planning kinda getting your big hurdle out the way first.
Oh another note when you building a workshop for all these tools you keep buying 😂
Oh yeah and the previous applications had all weird kind of stipulations added too in a response on the portal, no work to be carried out outside of hours 8-6mon to Friday, sat only 8-1 no Sundays or bank holidays, no burning of waste materials etc really helping the self builders in Chelmsford.

I'll think about a proper workshop once I've finished the house 😁 I already had loads of tools from the last house I done with Dan. I do really want a combination woodworking machine next though so I can make my kitchen 😅
Cancel the order for 5G router antenna as a 5G Mast by or 3 and you're sorted. You will see a significantly different service using antenna is not like using your phone and you can get signal from miles and miles away.
I've had it up and running for a year now and I'm happy with it. Have only had 2 drop outs in all that time which have been less than 1 minute. I think after paying for the equipment I doubt I'll be cancelling any time soon. Its £75 a month now, its unlimited and its been reliable
As I've got good internet, I'm more interested in your new boots, are they comfortable, a good fit and are they expensive. Great video, I like your very casual, unhurried approach to life but maybe it irritates your other half.
They were more comfortable once I figured out I should put my feet inside them 😂 I got them on sale from screwfix for £20, I wouldn't say they're uncomfortable but not the greatest.
I did ask and she said that I wasn't irritating in that way... Which means there's plenty of other ways she finds me annoying 😂

I ordered on the 21st June and it arrived the 16th August. The shipping was super quick once they said it was dispatched. I had a date from DHL when it would be delivered and it came 2 days earlier

The caravan is pretty cold at night through autumn winter and spring, don't need to have a window open as well 😱

What’s the point in uploading this video with out the actual review I would of shared this to friends if it had the review
Because some people have a sense of humour, might have got the joke that I finished a bottle of wine and got too drunk to finish a video, actually read the pinned comment, realised they had to push the like button to see more and understood this person spends all this time making recording and editing videos for free for your entertainment and would like some recognition such as a like and subscription, then clocked the 100 likes were hit and realised another video was linked in the end screen and watched the follow up instead of acting entitled. 😉

@@ethanbrown6138 I missed the part with me begging in the video to watch part 2? And part 2 wasn't made for a good few months. I'm not obligated to make the content you desire and you're not obligated to like my videos. I wasn't monetised at the time and no youtube doesn't pay for the amount of time people watch videos, they pay for people watching/clicking the adverts. Even then you can't make any decent money for the amount of time and effort you put in unless you have tens of thousands of subscribers and millions of views. Imagine working for free for over a year and your boss and or customers still give you sh**
Why would I waste money on an RV, I'm building a massive house to live in which is actually the main reason for the channel🤦♂️ I suppose you missed that part too
