It’s lovely that the goats follow you 😊
Watching a farm family of farmers and their animals all together enjoying the spring season.
THAT WAS A VERY PRODUCTIVE VID!!. GOT A LOT DONE, THAT STUMP WAS HUGE. GOOD JOB. LOTS A WOOD TOO. FUNNY SEEING ALL THE ANIMALS ON A VENTURE WALK.. TOO KOOL!!!
Hej from Germany - Superman and Supergirl with an Axe - Great !!!
Hello from Germany from Kakenstorf Hans and Oci 👍👍👍❤❤❤👍👍👍nice place
I enjoy watching the goats
a splitting maul would make the wood splitting a lot easyer
Place is really taking shape guys. Enjoy
My Mike says your man is a moose. He's proven his strength on the build. Lol. You certainly have other strengths. :-) That said, most of us don't even attempt log splitting! You go.
Your hair looks great Katie
Hey Greg, I want to give you a huge pat on the back for being the ONLY off grid home build that has properly installed a vapour barrier. Yes I see them use this insulation with paper on one side, the point is builders in Canada did the same thing back in 1950 …… But that’s why homes without a vapour are full of mold and rotting wood within 2 years and condemned from collapse and sickness. So builders do it right the first time like Greg & Katie, why do it twice. Cheers you two for building a crazy R value home that will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer without any worries. So enjoy many many years in your cozy home!
I appreciate the kind words! I have been in the trades for over 16 years and have seen the horrors of poor workmanship. Our home has to be done well!
@@ThisOffGridLife 🥇🏆 what is going to be your heat source Greg?
@@artty367 wood!
Way to go guys!! I’m so very impressed with the removal of the giant stump!! I was cheering you on while watching!! I see why you are both in such amazing physical shape…log splitting with an axe is extremely tiring and an excellent core body workout. Everything you have done together on you’re channel with the life you are building together, is just amazing…especially the fact that a lot of what you are doing, is something you have never done before!! Just so very impressed with you both!! 😊 You two are the true meaning of best friends, teammates, lovers and soul mates. Kudos to you both and Cheers 🥂 to the beautiful life you will share together!! 😊
Another good job 👏
Love the music in this video spring chores
Nice to see how the animals interact with each other, we as humans can learn a lot from that.
Great video Greg and Katie
Become the Ax all energy from toes through the end of the Ax blade through the wood. It's follow through with your body ax and wood.
Probably the best exercise a person can hand splitting wood.. that will build some big muscles 💪🏻 .
Just a couple taking 2 dogs, 2 goats and a cat for a walk in the woods.
Katie I struggle more than you with log splitting…. You. did great.Like your hair!
Great video as lots done both outside and the insulation.
Great to see water flowing! Our creeks are dry & rivers low😩 New bangs? Looks good! Slow & easy wins the race! You guys are doing awesome!! 😎
Great job insulating, that will keep you nice and warm during the winter months, Katie you are getting mean with the axe, I like the way Greg gives you encouragement,
I had an idea for something you might try we used to do it when we put up a lot of wood in northern Minnesota and we put a bunch of rounds together and put a chain around them so that when we split them they wouldn't fall over and it would save us time from having to constantly stoop over pick them up and chop them in quarters this way you can chop them in quarters without having stupid pick anything up
Spring is in the air. 88 down here in Nevada.
You kids are going to be so nice & toasty warm next cold season. Good team work. Katie , I like the new style ,it looks good on you. 👍👍👍😊
Man splitting wood by hand is a workout. I bought a splitter a few years ago. Great video kids.
Hopefully a wood splitting machine company will see this and sponsor you with one of their wood splitters .. easier on the body 😂🤣
Love the bangs!
Katie girl you are worker!!! Love the bangs
Awesome VIDEO nice to see you WONDERFUL COUPLE I REALLY MISS WATCHING your VIDEO
Great job getting the stump out Greg and Katie
If you have a sawmill cut all your logs up into 1” boards etc I will come in handy for board and batten siding for buildings
you should do tongue and grove on all the rooms, you still can paint some walls.drywall well take longer to put in.
Hi, an amazing set of videos detailing all you hard work, I am very impressed and have watched every video up to this one. A thought that may help relieve the stresses and strains of wood chopping. Consider investing in a simple wood cutting tool, there are many home made such ones that save so much energy and strength, the inertia type are the best, no running costs such as fuel, breakdown repairs etc, however you will get the right one for you eventually and it will save for years to come
Now we just have to figure out how to get the chicken out on a walk. Great video!
Can you burn that stump?
Haha food might do the trick, but that's a lot of animals to manage 🤣
Nice logs to build a wood shed!
that cedar you cut would make nice milled trim for the outside
next stump look up Swedish Torch / do that first and stump should be much easier to remove as the fire will burn down to the roots if you drill deep enough
Love the hair ✂
i have watched this video before n my tv. was not able to comment at that time. enjoy watching there videos.
Omg! Cute bangs
good job. Katie you have your hair cut different. glad to see spring arrived.
Wow...a sure nice spring popping up...I love seeing the popping branches ...nothing more precious then spring time🥀🌷🎋🌿🌱🌳
Best time of the year!
I live in Ohio and can relate to the grey. We had sun, snow, hail and rain today. Your doing amazing!
Katie love your hair. Greg is so sweet how you always encourage Katie. Loved the walk the water was so beautiful
Always love the strolls with the pet family
I like the new haircut Katie
Love the bangs, Katie. Great video, y’all. 🖤💖
Love the new hairdo.
Great progress guys. You’re an amazing team. 👏🏻👏🏻😁
You should probably invesr in a logspliter since you are heating with wood . It will save time and backes.
Maybe when we're old 💪
hello guys. good to see you, katy you cut your hair, the landscape is already very nice, spring is good, greetings
I use black gun powder 1 pint in a hole under the stump be care full to just use 6 once to start with because you close to the house take and use deep hole under stump cove with a large rag or blanket // do this at your own risk
Fiskars ax from Finland 💪
We love the fiskars!
@@ThisOffGridLife You have to try Fiskars XA2 or XA22. A very handy tools to move logs.
i like the new hair cut young lady it look nice
Love the KLR ;-)
3:40 in video OMG bangs . you are freakin' me out / just kidding they look good / now hubby has to come with something to top your bangs ? love you videos
Chopping wood is hard work. Nice job. Looking good. Thanks for sharing
You guys work hard, but be safe when chopping the logs.
Have a good week guys and furries ❤️🇬🇧
Fun cut logs. 🤘
Looking good guys. I love your goat walks, it really brings a smile to my face. Have a great week x
Happy Easter 🥚🐣🐇
Lots of work accomplished. You should keep one good sized block of wood to use as a chopping block, once it settles in it makes an excellent place to chop wood on.
17:50 in video there's your spot for the water turbine !!
Hey! We’ve spent the last few days catching up on ALL your vids from the beginning! We are now up to date!! Woo hoo! Luv luv luv to you all! ❤ 😊
Get a full swing with that maul Katie, you'll not wear yourself out, or, get a log splitter for your birthday...lol Love ya'll, and the walks with the animals, priceless! ❤️
Love your new do, Katie, it makes you look even younger!
Thanks
I love watching you guys work together, great content.
That splitting firewood is a workout I'm afraid I'd opt out for a power splitter 😆 specially on wet logs I've dang near bounced the maul back into my chins a few times 🙄cant eait to see you side the house see ya on the next one
It's called a splitting wedge
your log splitting technique is awesome / most people don't realize that by letting the axe slide through the top hand a it pivots on the bottom hand you create head speed which splits the log not shear brut strength
Awesome.
Y'all did great
Great fun
Great seeing you guys out walking with your pets!! You have worked 110% building your home!!! Glad you can take some time to relax a little bit now👍👍B Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
Great video, folks. Katie, you're doing great with the axe. Good teamwork over that stump, too!
nice cappols good job
If that water fall is on your land I would put in hydro electric system
Kate, love the hair cut. Looks good on you.!!
Katie. It’s ok to talk about your new cut… you guys doing good. Enjoy the journey
Gonna echo everybody...Katie, your new 'do is darling; love the bangs
Nice hair cut
This is one of many adventures of your young lives, and I enjoy watching them each week, and Katie, love the hair.
Is that the Kioti 3510? Hard to remember life before the tractor. I feel your pain with removing them stumps.
I sure wish a Log splitter Company would donate a Log splitter to you guys! Hint, Hint Log Splitter Companies out there.
Enjoyed ❤️❤️❤️
Love it!!
Love you guys when splithing fire wood allways have your axe ithing with a small angle to one side so that it kind pushes to the wood open and the axe dosen just go down in the wood you probably know that allready just a thout im french so my spelling is not good
What are your plans on the huge tree trunk. Wish you had shown more on that project. Thanks for the video anyways..i
Thanks for another fine video!
Looks like you guys have a nice piece of property.
To get more power in the downswing, use your whole body, use your hips to get the upswing started.
nice
Towel RAILs is a good option.
O wow I didnt know you all had a KLR
Love the new doo Katie!
Maybe you can speak to kris harbour regarding getting a a hydro generator to keep your power charged on your solar generator, I know he is probably in Wales somewhere but he does deal with a person in America regarding his hydro generator!
That creek is a bit too far away but would be awesome to have that kind of power
Hey Katie and Greg, when whaling an axe, the words that go through my head is actually an old saying, "strong like bull, smart like streetcar"...just sayin', lmao! Greetings from Peterborough, Ontario.
Your doing a great job guys but I think Katie is correct about the towel racks. Are they not called towel rails? Not that it matters what you call them.
Katie, you look marvelous!! Did you do something to change your look?? Or is it just the Spring time Glow?? The stump!! Sure is coming along nicely, it's always a great idea to gather more firewood.. Stay safe my friends.👍🤓👍🤓Randy.
