Never a dull moment with goats 🐐 😂
You should add half 3 inches PVC pipe on each side of the chicken tractor. Slides very easily. Blessings
Goats were "helping". 🤣 If you need some cheap wheels, post a notice in town for old carts people use to pack groceries home. We have probably 6 whells here.
The carts are those ones with bags, handles, diagonal braces you see older people use. Unfortunately most of those carts are poorly made, so wheels frequently fall off. 🤦
Just about forgot, find 2 very stiff bristle brushes, attach then to a post one slightly higher than the other. Goats LOVE to rub on them and the brushes can be simply screwed onto the post, replaced when worn out. Saves on fencing. 😀
This video reminds me SO VERY much of our goats!!! It cracks me up!!! I have literally watched it 7 times now and still cry from laughing so hard. I have 6 does (3 that are almost 3 years old and their daughters that are a year old). They are ALWAYS trying to "help" us work around the farm 🤷♀️🤦♀️🤣. I know how this video makes you feel. Thank you for sharing your videos
My late mom was Tennessee Cherokee and she always loved fresh fried chicken dinner. She told me the chickens changed taste when they were commercially sold but the farm fresh chickens that are the Genetically Normal Chickens that our great great great grandfather ate! Then I went to the Amish Farms and ask about the difference between GM foods and non GM foods the Amish gave me a ear of corn that was NOT GM CORN AND THE EARS WERE 5inches long and small sized compared to the 10 inches and very thick ears of corn bought at the Big Grocery store so the difference is taste because the little ears of corn had more flavor than the big ears of corn TWICE THE FLAVOR! HALF THE SIZE PERFECT TO DEHYDRATE AND STORE!
I've seen other people put wheels on there chicken tractor so it's easier to move it around with a bar on the front of it. So 1 person can move it around. It's an easy fix to your problem. It's something to think about. I really like all your videos and I would like to see other builds in the future. God bless you and your family 😊.
The goats were hysterical! lol. Perfect music, too! Regarding moving the chicken pen, I wonder if you threw down some seed in the front just before you dragged it, if that would help? They sure know to come running when you put it down. I'm not sure how far you're moving it each time and whether they'd stay at the seed if you moved up to grab the enclosure. It's a thought, though.
that's a good idea, we can throw down some feed and that will definitely keep them occupied near the front
Better yet hang a trough with seed on the front for the birds so you can move it longer distances if need be.
You should add half 3 inches PVC pipe on each side of the chicken tractor. Slides very easily. Blessings
Wow there she is... carpenter, painter, house builder, farmer, pet lover, house wife, organizer etc. etc. etc. You wear many many hat's lady and that is so awesome for sure. You sure had lot's of help from the goats hahahaha. How darling was that??? VERY DARLING!!! Those goats are amazing butting the wood frame and trying to butt the dog LOL. Cute video and loved the music it was perfect ...sort of reminds me of a slapstick comedy while you are building. God is blessing you with many talents and strength for sure.
I always love the music you choose, but the music in this video was particularly fabulous!
Glad you liked it!
I’d swear there was a rhythmic staple gun sound in the track that played while stapling chicken wire, and in the following selection there were woodblocks perfectly timed to patting the goat on the head. Brilliant. Thanks for the great content!
@@olddognewtrails I wasn't sure about the circus song but when I put it with the clip, it lined up perfectly and I k w i had to keep it in there 😂
@@ThisOffGridLife The effect was comic genius, IMHO. Your channel is so inspiring. Thanks again 😊
Love ❤️ watching you all how you work together Blessings 🙌 🙏
Two young persons full of pep. Thank you for your awesome videos
To move The Chicken Tractor see if you have any plastic pipes/tubes that can be attached at bottom of the sides and act as runners on a sleigh.
In each corner you could place a eyelet so that by using a 2x4 you can move each corner slowly so that no one gets hurt.
Goats are ever so helpful
You're goats will do everything to get your attention, definitely pets. I love their little tails wagging as they play.
So much fun. Perfect music. Oh the joy of being adored by our pets.
If you can pick up an old car wash machine bristled roller the goats will love It to rub up against
I mentioned this as the goats were rubbing their heads against the chicken wire while you were covering the lid to the run 😊
Fun day
Goats are funny
Be well be safe
I am so impressed!!👍
Wrangling chickens can be done with calmer chicken when moving them and placing them carrying upside down by the legs put them into kind of a stuper.
i could watch you all day, keep up the good work lady.
Katie you forgot your wheels on your chicken tractor.🧡🧡🧡🧡
We installed them in this video
The goat's love to help! Always Enjoy watching!
Goats were having a good time.
meat bird feed is just cut in 1/2 a PCV 4" cap the ends and screw it to a pease of 2x4 on each end so it don't flip a chicken feed alls I did was got a 5 gal bucket cut slots around the bottom and put a 2" bigger like lid with 2" high sides on it and screwed them together
Recently discovered your channel - good fun and interesting to watch!!
Great job on the tractor guys. Alot of advantages haveing them in a tractor. Thanks for sharing guys. ❤️🤘
So cool how your goats act like dogs 🤣 The meat birds were really lost when you first put them in the tractor but looks like they dig it now! Nice work 👏
I really liked the music, when the goats jumped on the fence
I love how the goats act like just part of the pet life, lol
Nice chicken tractor! Threading a pool noodle or an old piece of garden hose on your pull string might help your grip. Love your videos!
fun stuff
Love the ideas y’all come up with. They always work, that’s what matters.👍🏾😀
Very nice job with the chicken tractor Katie you're a very hard worker may you and Greg be blessed
RUclips kept insisting I watch this video out of order. It was hilarious.
Your goats are hilarious! I love all your ferns. Everything is so green and beautiful. What a dream for you and Greg. Very happy for you both. xoxo
thanks. unfortunately the ferns are not good for the animals to eat so we are always trying to distract them from it
@@ThisOffGridLife Oh ya, I didn't think about that. And goats eat everything too!
Wheels on the back will help with the ease of moving it
Goats and dogs and cats and possibly chickens are such helpful and entertaining creatures. Nice work on the chicken tractor Katie and Greg. 🎶💪
Love watching you and your animals
The goats 🐐 are just trying to help you, all in the wrong way. Lol
God that's funny ,What a good life ,love it ,You two are cool
Awesome 👌
Was laughing so much at the goats helping.
Thanks, nice video! You will have tastier eggs and lower feed cost, great move! Mowing the Grass before moving the cage might help their foraging. We are still loving and married 44 years. The picture was taken in 1991, Ron PTL USA just below B.C in Washington state!
Nice worl with the chicken coup. can you fit a stick or pearch in there to stand on maybe?
I love watching your videos each week.
You have to condition the birds to the moving of the tractor. Throwing feed down at the front will have them move in that direction, then just pull the tractor up to them. They're not real bright, but they learn eventually. Love the goats always inspecting your movements. Love ya'll ❤️
Yes, they are already much better about coming to the front thinking we are feeding them
@@ThisOffGridLife Cool! About the time they get real good at it, you eat em...lol
So much help! lol
Thanks, watching fro Norway 🇳🇴
Go to sow the land channel and look at the wheel he uses You step on a lever to put the wheels down and release to put chicken tractor down. That way you don’t have space under tractor check it out.
Love y’all! This was a great lil video! I laughed good a few times:)) Ty.
I really loved how y’all’s dog kept trying to tell the goats to get off the chicken wire while you were building it, Katie.
You two take care:)🖤💖
To keep little legs from being dragged. You could try and put a line of feed along the front edge. That should keep most of them off the back edge. I love the goats.
All that fertilizer ground left behind
Amazing how blue the sky was at the beginning of the video!
We had a few days of nice weather, now it's gray and wet again
Your goats really are loopy lol 😂❤️🇬🇧
good job on the chicken tractor.
a few refinements and it'll be just what you need.
keep on keepin' on my friends.
Yes them birds are loving it now good job on the wheels. The goats though 😂🤣😂
I love watching ..today was fun lol love the playful goats ..
Harness the goats to pull the chicken tractor. B-a-a-a-a. The pets all get along, play together and are constant companions.
Meat birds are not like regular birds. My experience with them is they are extra mean and aggressive...separating them means less fights among them. But also watch your hands they will rip you up when they are full grown
Haaaa. Chicken city's a little heavier than you thought!!!!
You guys make a hell of a team!
So nice
Katie you and the animals are fun to watch 😂👍
You and your husband are hilarious, love watching the videos.
Great circus music
Oh man so good 😂
The kitty in the fern forest, imagine her pov, soooo nice 🥰
Check out Pete on Just a few Acres Farm and see how they move their chickens. Works pretty well with just him and his wife.
The goat that thinks it's a dog 🤣🤣
another good video Tom
I used 20" bicycle wheels and they work pretty well.
We just got rid of an old bike too 😜
😂😂😂 i love the goats 😂😂
It was hilarious 🤣 watching your goats 🐐 helping you, if you call it that. Those 2 are so cute how they love you.
Wow, the chickens grew a lot.
Those cheeky goats have no respect while you're trying to make the chicken lid.
Another project off the list✅😎
great video
Teenegar goats…. Mum I need attention ! Great tractor work! Love the midweek videos!
Goats were acting just like my kids would of always in what you are working on. Makes you stop and enjoy them. Lol
Good job!😎👍
4" pvp pipe on the inside back
Those goats crack me up!
Your 🐐 🐐 🐐 are very funny
nice
I sent you all a link to a video for wheels on the chicken tractor that would enable one person to move it. Have good days!
“Goat tested, mother approved…” 😂🤣😂👍🏼
You need wheels on the chicken pull thing.
Katie's goat rodeo. 🐐 AL Lumnah feeds his meat chickens that way. He will be a good example of You Tuber doing it as a job Katie. Some of his older videos are classic example of daily content for your channel. Those chicken will soon learn to move forward as the shelter moves forward. Maybe trim the grass up a bit ahead of the move. They eat shorter grass better. ^Just a few Acres Farm" is another channel with good meat chicken info. 🐔
Great job getting them out. Neat looking bird. Hope they fill out good.
Thanks
Winner,winner chicken...........
I think the goats were trying to tell you not to cut the chicken wire edge so you could use it as a hinge and just staple it to the roof frame, lol!! Naughty goats! 😂 Also, I love the chicken comments of what they’re saying, please do that more to all your animals!! 🤣👏🏻❤️ And now I’m all caught up on ALL of your videos, and I have to wait for new ones like everyone else, noooooooooooo!!!! 😫😞😂
What if you were to hinge the back roof a little bit of the chicken tractor so then just flip it up to see if any got stuck. My son did that and it prevented further injury. 👍😊
What kind of baby chicks do you have in the mobile chicken coop?? Man they got big quick.
You made a nice chicken pen the goat was being annoying love you and your videos
A friend moves her chicken enclosure with her tractor. Every time she fires up the tractor, regardless of what chore she is planning to do, the chickens get excited. Your chickens will soon learn too that moving is a good thing. Awesome music for the circus you had going on during construction. lol
Wheels please. If you put wire on the bottom. They would not get smashed underneath. Agreed. You two are hilarious.
Can't wait to see your experiences....doing it as it comes. Do you have Mr Google out there?
Watch the video!!!! Wheels were put on!!!!!!!
looks like you are going to have to move the tractor with the tractor LOL
It would be a lot easier pushing it rather than pulling it that way the birds won't get hurt. and you can see them better. Just a thought.
Put a pool noodle on the back of the pen where it drags. They will end up on top of it rather than dragged under. Also if you wait to feed them the day you move it and put some food right at the front or even attach your feed trays to the side you pull from they will try to eat off the front while your moving it. Use their nature for your own benefits. I often tell myself, Work smarter not harder
lol to funny
Axle shaft of sorts for longevity just a thought😂 I'm sure you've thought of that
try throwing some chicken feed on the end of the tractor you are pulling. This will probably keep the birds away from the back end while your pulling
Hey Gang, Great Posting, Happy 🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦 Day "A" 😂🤣,, What a Great country we live in
Maybe put the wheels on the front, (non shaded area, flip door) and pull from the back where they can't see you? Just a thought
God's Good Blessings to you and your beautiful family keep up the great work love U guys XOXOXO stay safe and healthy
The goats could have there own channel lol lol
Your goats were so funny, as soon as they followed you away I knew they would follow you back, calmed down after Hinton taught him a lesson. I thought the wooden fence you put up was your property line from your neighbour, but your house is on one side and your chickens are on the other? Must have misunderstood that vlog.
That is correct. Half of the birds are for that neighbor and he has a better grass area so we put them there
