SONIC TEAM IS FINALLY EMBRACING THEIR PAST!! Just the fact that Black Doom, Kingdom Valley, and Chaos Spear are all being brought back, elements from 2 of Sonic Team’s most infamous and problem-filled games, is amazing! For the longest time, the sonic franchise was afraid of its edgy, borderline-cheesy past and rarely, if ever, brought its mistakes to the spotlight. But with Frontiers and now this, it really seems like Sonic Team not only wants to embrace its history, but make it better! Just hoping Shadow’s story/gameplay in this is worth the wait… Edit: Just to clarify, yeah I’m aware Sonic has embraced older stages and elements in the past (aka Green hill oversaturation). But I’m mostly talking about how for a while, especially in the 2010s, Sonic Team was very jokey and meta about how “bad” Sonic 06 and Shadow 05 was, rarely mentioning or talking about what was in these games besides anniversary specials. In the Shadow the Hedgehog game Black Doom used his DNA to help create Shadow and I theorize it's because of that Shadow gets this transformation.

This looks much bigger than initially perceived. Both Generations itself getting more content and Shadow’s campaign being fleshed out with a lot of what I’d call *love* for the character. Frontiers brought back the cool, unfazed style of Sonic that had been missing for so long and this game is riding straight off of that into something that looks fantastic. October can’t come soon enough.

Remember people, Shadow is half Black Arms & a half Mobian Hedgehog hybrid. He only grew those mutant alien wings from his Black Arms DNA that lies dormant inside of him. I've watched Ian Flynn's BumbleKast series, and I know Mobius isn't in the main Japanese canon of Sonic.

Honestly, the shadow portion of the game still looks fan-made. It looks like something straight out of Sonic Omens. I think the quality difference between the Shadow gameplay and the Sonic/Classic Sonic gameplay is pretty obvious judging it by everything they have shown us thus far. Hopefully the Shadow stages in the final product will feel more like Generations and less like Forces, because right now...Shadows gameplay looks very much like Forces to me.
@Syrupsyke 3DS Generations had Radical Highway in it. I kinda wish they'd put those stages in the new release, it had Water Palace and the Biolizard as well.

Lets see… it looks like Shadow’s getting Final Chase, Rail Canyon, and Kingdom Valley, with Westopolis showing up in the last trailer and Biolizard as one of his bosses. The trailer’s theme is also Radical Highway. There had better be Black Comet or Final Haunt as the final stage.
Judging by the Radical Highway remix in the trailer, I reckon that most stages (probably all of them) will have new remixes, being different from the original Sonic Generations. Just like Sonic Colours: Ultimate has music remixed from the original Sonic Colours.

Shadow has found quite a weird way to relate to Rouge
This looks much bigger than initially perceived. Both Generations itself getting more content and Shadow’s campaign being fleshed out with a lot of what I’d call *love* for the character. Frontiers brought back the cool, unfazed style of Sonic that had been missing for so long and this game is riding straight off of that into something that looks fantastic. October can’t come soon enough.

Honestly, the shadow portion of the game still looks fan-made. It looks like something straight out of Sonic Omens.
I think the quality difference between the Shadow gameplay and the Sonic/Classic Sonic gameplay is pretty obvious judging it by everything they have shown us thus far.
Hopefully the Shadow stages in the final product will feel more like Generations and less like Forces, because right now...Shadows gameplay looks very much like Forces to me.
