I live in the Sardis part of Chilliwack, so you almost drove right past my place of abode! It seems that in spite of ferries and motels, you still had an enjoyable holiday where you could catch your breath. I trust that the trip home was good and found your home and animals safe and sound!
Hello, Sardis is a lovely place. My grandparents lived there and we would visit very often over many years. I love the Sardis countryside.
I so love your attitude towards camping and leaving and clean campsite. I wish more people had your view of nature and to leave only foot prints. That water did look COLD.

Hello. Nothing is better than camping on Vancouver Island. I lived in Victoria and attended both college and university there. Also lived in Parksville/Qualicum and Campbell River or many years. Made many trips to Long Beach. I can’t tell where you guys are. I have such good memories of the island. Still living in Japan. Can’t wait to return to Canada. But can’t afford to live on Vancouver Island now. Even Port Hardy is expensive these days. Will likely build off grid home in northern BC.

I drove 6 years back and forth on my Dirt Bike with no license or insurance just a old plate but when I got my 650 Yamaha special I got my license lol I loved it because it Rained and the man that was to ride beside me just told me to drive around the block and passed me lol lol

The scenery there is amazing, I see why ya'll chose that area to camp at. I can't see the artic plunge though, that water must have been 40°F at best, thankfully I have the Gulf of Mexico close at hand...lol So happy to see ya'll take some time off, you've been extremely busy lately. Love ya'll ❤️
We used to use a 20 foot painters pole in the center after tying the tarp off to the trees worked great

I had figured out as far as Nanaimo !! I used to live in the West End of Vancouver from 1966. Three of us shared a cabin coming over from Liverpool. Two flew from Montreal while I took the 4 day train ride. I ran into them outside the Y and they had just rented an apartment on Comox for $250 for the three of us !!!

All work and no play makes a dull dull life and also makes one appreciate what they have when home. I can tell that was not real warm water.. I got goose bumps thinking about the first dive in.. after that, staying in is warmer than getting out unless dry... burrr. I hope not too many sand fleas to make a night quite interesting... I do remember some of those. Glad that you had fun even if it wasn't sunny florida... do they have any hot springs in this area?
