Yeah stairs, well done guys. No snow in Scotland yet, thank goodness. Xx
you are living in the lap of luxury. functional stairs. positively decadent. good job. give your dogs a big hug.
Hey nice stair jig guys!! Looking like pros
Felling trees that are situated in a dangerous area of blowdown is a smart idea. Alot of ppl neglect the fact that wind can take them down quicker than we can. Great move! Oh, and the stairs, why not use 2 × 8 for the steps? Love ya'll ❤
Love watching you guys progress . Trent and Alley and you are my favorites
More wood for the sawmill and firewood, sounds like like a win win.
It's a good idea to glue the treads to the stringers.
Live edge pine treads would be so cool
Perkins Brothers is a great and entertaining channel. A channel to check out!
Great job, I wish u tube was around 40 years ago. I have worked in the woods 49 years. Still got to be very careful. I know
it will be a beautiful home for you and your pups Greg and Kathie. much love from Suriname South America
I'm a builder in North Carolina and I think you guy's are doing great!
Good job kids on the stairs and all you have accomplish saw far now fire up the hot tub and enjoy the winter
What a neat little jig for making stair treads. Stairs make a huge difference.
I know Greg will love turning those trees into useable lumber and firewood some day. Great to have such a nice and generous neighbor. A wood chipper would be great. Stairs are so nice!
Just awesome I feel for your dog I pray it will be able to go up those stairs
That were some really tall trees 🌴, and the stairs are looking very nice 👌! 😊👍💕💕💕
You kids are doing great,God Bless and take care yourself.
For all the unforeseen mistakes you kids are doin a fine job 👍god bless cheers from California

The Perkins are an awesome group of guys. I enjoy watching them.as well as you guys. Live from NEW YORK it’s Saturday night
Stairs are great!! Wait til you get the insulation in the walls...it will be so much warmer.
Watch from Ohio and we have no snow, but it is very cold(in the 20's)
Keep safe and warm!!
Stairs built was cool!
Good job on stairs…build yourself a set of saw horses… it will make things easier…..keep up the good work.
Y’all have got many skills!👍🏾💯❤️😀🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Perkins brothers 👍 .. was it one of Jamie's "detailed" explanations? 🤣 - I love that crew .. wish they built all over America.
The leaners definitely gotta go. On the bright side, you'll have firewood and/or logs to mill into finish wood.
You guys make a good team you're doing a great job congratulations
Put up a trail cam. Always cool to catch a wolf or animal on it! Take a minute to look around, you guys built that! Awesome work! Hi from Northern Wisconsin!
Watching from the beautiful Bluegrass State of Kentucky. Great job on the stairs. It’s coming along nicely!!!
Good day.
Greetings from Amsterdam Netherlands
Hi guys Just want to say you are doing a great job I'm from Boston Ma.
Riveting as always. (From Yorkshire England)
Stairs will make ALL the difference moving around, moving materials, etc. Sorry about the trees but totally get the safety first thing. We're experiencing severe winds here & I'm more than a little insecure about our old oaks. Rest well, looking forward to more.👍👍
Just watched your whole build until this point today. Looks good so far...💯👌
Great job on the stairs. You work well together. Thanks for the video.
Hi guys! Was pushing some trees over last weekend with a rented excavator, had a top fall on the ROPS. Scared the 🤬 out of me, but no dent in the roof, no problem, shout out to Yanmar for building a stout machine.
Yes you must take note of nature I am sure your safety must come first the Forrest will regenerate the wind would have taken those trees down at least you did it safely. Stay strong stay safe ❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🥰🥰watching from Queensland Australia thanks for sharing.
It's looking great! Some dogs can't go up stairs they can see through, so once you put the risers on he should do it on his own.
She has bad arthritis now too
Sorry
this video got me so excited about life :))))
all that nice wood you cut down well look great on the stairs.
That'll make life easier
Enjoying your hard work from eastern Ontario
Yaaay finally the stairs are positioned an they look awesome well done bud.
Nice 👍🏻 Job on the stairs!💡⭐️👍🏻Perkin Brothers are amazing perfectionist excellent mentors for building. They are hilarious too! I understand wanting to take down big pines. We took one down and it was a rotten in the center we couldn’t even see from the outside. It would have fallen in the high winds we just got in Kennesaw GA today .
Watching from York Uk keep pushing on your doing a fantastic job & are a real inspiration of what hard work can achieve .
i am watching from Malta. i enjoy your home build. It reminds me when i was young and we built our house. Good memories,
Hi from New Zealand - nice job on the stairs and tree clearing - thanks for sharing
Good job Katie And Greg and the dogs poor old dog i know how he feels Adelaide South Australia
Great job on the stairs, from Muskogee OK USA
if you know where your wood stove is going to go you could install your chimney pipe and if you don't have a stove yet you could install a barrel stove to warm and dry your interior for working and burn your scrap wood you warm the workspace and get rid of waste wood even without the insulation it will make your work much more pleasant
Watching from the coast of Oregon, USA. Love you guys! And of course all the animals! ♥️
You two are so much fun... I like...
Love watching your weekly vlog - from Abu Dhabi UAE
Hi from Blackshear Ga
I always like to put a little bit of a gap between the stringers and the wall For when you put drywall up it’s a lot easier
Yes, we left a gap as well
Yeah! Stairs!
please add a 2x4 between the outside stringers and the stud walls. the sheet rockers, trim carpenters and carpet layers will thank you
YIPPEE luxury 👍👍👍😊 Tiffin, Ohio.
Stairs are not easy to build and have them comfortable to go up and down but you did a nice job. Never seen that jig before but it works and now they will be easier. Love watching your channel, am in Arkansas, US so it does not get snowfall, maybe a few inches some years, most years nothing. But love your house and have got a lot of ideas from yall. Keep up the good work.
What an improvement. Greetings from sydney, australia

Nova Scotia Canada. Looking Good.
Nice work guys , watching from Victoria Australia.
Great work guys! Cheers from the Netherlands
looking great guys. cut few more trees for better views from that top balcony
I know you were both bummed to have to buy milled lumber for the rough framing, but there are so many finish details that you can use the wood from your land to build with. The stairs for instance! I can’t wait to see the house all finished, you guys are doing great! ❤️
Great idea guys falling the trees...if can suggest I would even go further and fall any tree that can damage your house if by chance it falls...cause from what I see all the trees on your property are mature and huge...great to know you two watch the Perkins brothers as well they are share a huge wealth of knowledge and pro tips on building houses....great work guys it’s coming together nicely...
What a momentous occasion, that’s so nice, they came out awesome!!!
Dam you guys work hard.. Good job on the stairs. Looking real good 👍 from London UK 🇬🇧
Thanks 👍
Hi from outside of Orlando Fl. Where it’s to warm and that is from someone that was born and raised here. Lol
Not only a brush chipper bur log pulling winch to pull those trees up the mountain side.
Best regards from Iceland
Nice work you guys. Going to be nice. Nice to see you guys making life together. Brian from Dawson Creek
Good job ! Trenton.Michigan
Hello from Parker, Colorado. That stairs jig is pretty slick.
Hello from northern Minnesota! Nice job on the stairs! 😊
You guys are awesome! Love your channel! Watching from Colorado, USA
Great job on the stairs! Watching from Albuquerque NM
If you double up your ply for the stair treads , don't forger to cut another 1/2 " off of your bottom rise or the the rise on the bottom stair and top rise will be 1" different in height. That will be awkward when you climb them and dangerous . Your rise is to be equal on all risers .
Hello from the Northwest Territories in northern Canada. Loving your vlog! Keep up the good work!
Great job on the stairs. Make sure to shim your stringers away from the wall so you can slide drywall our whatever your finishing the walls with. Its a lot easier to slide finish wall down instead of cutting around each stair
Hi Katie and Greg, the stairs looks brilliant! I love the Perkins builder brothers, we have picked up so many tips from them to use in reno'ing our house.
I had to laugh at your snow, where I am in England, just outside London, snow that settles is pretty rare, but bugger me it sends us all into chaos when it does 🤣 We are just not set up for snow at all, even when it only lasts for a few days.
Keep up the great work, I have no doubt that you will be in your house in no time xxx
It seems the snow is here to stay this time. I was looking at photos from last year at this time and it was green still. Thanks 😊
Hallo vanuit Nederland. Mooie trap.
