This is Simple Living With Biata! I'm building my dream home and homestead from scratch to learn how to become more self sufficient! I've learnt I REALLY love construction and building and I can't wait to bring my dream homestead into a reality!
This week I made a huge home building mistake that I will never make again haha! Learn from my mistakes just 24 hours before my trusses came to be installed!
Installing the trusses made such a big difference. Our home build is really coming together!

Biata, this Journey of yours is absolutely Amazing, you are SUCH an inspiration, every episode I watch gives me enjoyment, hope and knowledge, you keep telling us you are a novice with no experience, but honestly You Are Incredible. I cannot truly consider you a Novice with all the amazing things you accomplish, and when there are issues and things go wrong, you just get it fixed, lickety split, you are a Super Hero of homesteading. The biggest complications you have had that were the hardest to fix so far as I can tell were like other peoples not making the right call or something like the Concrete height thing being off by 2 inches, that wasn't on you from what I remember - when the situation is controlled by you or you are the one activly correcting an issue, you get it done like fast, I think instead of a Novice, you should start to call yourself and skilled professional who is still learning which professional skills you have - I think that is completely fair.
Love you, your Family, your Chanel - and one day once I get my project started, in about 22-26 months I'm gonna have to borrow Craig - he's Gold.

Those shots of the wetlands and wetlands to the house! I've been watching you from the time of clear cutting and syrup making my 5 year old likes to watch too, our girl's are the same age, again don't be too hard on yourself building is an undertaking, also a warning!
