Ya got all hands on deck for this project.GREAT.Joys of renting Trachoe that other people have beat on.Thats why I bought a wheeled backhoe an bucket loader. They have issues too.Great video though ha ha.You just keep plugging away at it Biata. You've got a great attitude.Despite problems.
Lots of hard work, But when you finally get everything done and you're enjoying your new home, it will be very satisfying to know what you have accomplished! 👍
Some of Your adventure is very familiar. My wife and I bought 20 acres of undeveloped woodland in Michigan and are building our homestead here. Your electrical adventures are far more extreme than we have faced. The only infrastructure on our site when we bought it was the powerline cut in the front 300 feet. Our house site is less than 200 feet from a power pole, so getting temporary power installed wasn't a very difficult task and we hired an electrical contractor to do it. Nothing like pulling and laying in 1200 feet of cable ;)
Biata well done. You fell those trees at the road with great skill. You are a very hard worker and you have learned how to use the chain saw great. May I suggest a safer way to start it though. Your husband and daughter need you around. It only takes a blink of an eye for tragedy to happen. Start your saw on the ground . Place the toe of your boot in the handle to hold it down. I myself don't want you to get hurt. I want to watch your videos in 10 years from now. Lots of love and respect for you. Keep up the great work.
Good job dropping that tree in the ditch you got a good eye for dropping trees my father would be proud of you he is the one I worked in logging we had are own logging cruise in southeastern Ohio.
RUclips just recommended this video, I clicked and watched to the end. Totally resonating with your life style, even more we live the same life. Keep good content up. Btw, greetings form British Columbia!
This is absolutely outstanding content and an adventurous journey we can get transferred into thanks to your creativity and sharing. Love it and it's so amazing how inspirational it is and pushes not only me but as well others to make something out of our lives. A big thank you again and wishing you a safe journey.
What an awesome channel!! I think it’s great that you are doing this. I can’t wait to see it finished, but then again I’ll have nothing to look forward to Sunday evening.
Haha thanks so much Don! Hopefully when the house is done we can work on the bunkie, the sleeping cabin, greenhouse, sauna and maybe a garage one day! Lots of plans!
one of the things i have done is all that brush i rented a chiper and then disked it in the ground in a couple of years when the wood rots it makes really good dirt for growing shit
Hey anymore of jobs like this and you're going to get me and other Andrew Camarata regulars watching! Ww what a hard working girl you are Biata you are a force of nature and hot too! Blessings from Shropshire x
Thank you for another dose of Simple Living even though some weeks it's a little bit complex Maybe you should build a wee barn to make the deer more comfortable. Can't you see they really want to come and live at your place. Take good care Biata.
Fantastic work once again Biata. As I said before you are quite the expert got with your chainsaws skills. You are making great progress and I can't wait to see your work come good
Just found your channel tonight and I loved it so I 👍 and subscribed after the 1st one then binge watched 7-8 episodes ? I like that you plan on wood fired radiant heat ! I am living in the house that I grew up in it had radiant gas fired heat below the slab and it was great stepping on a warm floor when you crawled out of bed in the morning 😄 but with leaking soft copper tubing ( No Pex Tubing back then) it was abandoned and forced air was put in plus we got the bonus of Central AC ! The only wood fired boiler I've seen was at Surveyors Supply Co. That I bought all my stakes, lathe plumb Bob's etc. From In STL MO USA. They had a huge stainless boiler built when they constructed their new huge location. They use all their sawdust, chips and falloff to feed it (mostly Poplar) and local hardwood ! Can't wait to watch the progress on your property ! ✌️💙🎵 From STL MO
That was great enjoyed it girl you are working so hard my heart go's out to you nothing is as easy as it looks and a lot is not figured in like coming out to the site and a couple of trees fell down no biggie but it takes time to cut them up and get them out of the way so the things you came out to do get done but you got this and it's going to be Wright and beautiful you are fantastic Mrs construction manager laborers logger and gardner mom and wife
Nice work Biata! Do you know how to tie a clove hitch? Might be handy for tying the rope to the electric line when pulling. I use a bowline with a big loop on the line for attaching the throw weight to the line with a girth hitch, that way you can take the throw weight off quickly when you miss and not have to pull the throw weight back through the tree.
There's a trick, you push the escalator up using the escalators shovel lifting on one side So you can spin the track, or put a log under too keep it up then using the escalators shovel pulling the track back on while spinning the track it will work trust me.
I'm assuming that pole/line was only phone or cable line. Because that could have been deadly had it been power. Typically the line carrier would work with you to remove or trim trees.

Happy ta see ya got helpers with ya....Are ya thinkin of buyin a generator as a backup in case of storm givin ya blackout,,,and might take a few weeks to fix?
It’s because it’s the line that runs to the transformer! It’s meant for underground but the Big O was a precaution. Armoured cable wasn’t high voltage enough. The armoured runs from the transformer to our panel!
@@SimpleLivingwithBiata That is really what I meant I would have thought that the electricity company would have wanted their incomer protected as best as can be. You can get armoured cable up to 33kv carrying capacity, a bit awkward though…
I to am from Ontario, Bruce peninsula, what area code use from. This is the exact route me and my wife are trying to take, just purchased twelve acres.

Great idea! There’s so much brush I don’t know how we’ll get through it all. We might just have to burn it and use the ash in the garden
@@SimpleLivingwithBiata that will work too just dont let it go to waist
WOW! Scary glad you all are safe. So excited to see the next episode. Stay safe my friend…

Nice video. Things are looking good. Putting the track on can be a pain. Just take your time. See you on your next video.

Check out a video of how to base tie your guide rope. If something comes up that you can’t cut the tree there is no way to get the rope down
Thank you so much! I’ll look into it!
Putting a track back on isn't too bad, just gotta have the right tools and somebody who's done it before to show you.
You're gaining!
I’ve learnt a lot about tracks! Stay tuned for next week haha. Thankful for friends to help
@@SimpleLivingwithBiata I'd rather deal with tracks than tires! Can't wait.

Too late now but use half hitchs around the end of your cable, when you pull it tightens on the cable the just a little tape to hold the first hitch
Wow! Good to know thanks!
Just old fashioned, hot, dirty, hard, sweaty work. The kind my dad used to tell me that he did often.
It’s exactly what it is! Thanks so much for watching

Yes just a phone line! I wouldn’t have attempted it if it were a hydro line!
You´re doing good and your chainsaw skills are already pretty good 🤠

The power Company should've been responsible for those trees being in the power lines
A bear fence might work to stop the deer from entering your garden or invest in a green house.
Definitely! We totally want a greenhouse one day!
Happy ta see ya got helpers with ya....Are ya thinkin of buyin a generator as a backup in case of storm givin ya blackout,,,and might take a few weeks to fix?
We will likely need a generator at some point! Thank you so much for watching!

I’m surprised that they don’t want armoured cable for your supply ! veery interesting…

You talk about the Big O a lot. Ever had one?
I can't imagine what you paid for that wiring in Canada i about fell over when I saw that roll eh
Oh gosh it was horrendous 😭
So pretty ❤
BTW Biata I assume you dropped your Gym membership, Hell you have an 18 AC Gym now. ✌️
Haha no gym membership here! Thank you!
I to am from Ontario, Bruce peninsula, what area code use from. This is the exact route me and my wife are trying to take, just purchased twelve acres.
I didn't think it was legal to cut trees by power/telephone lines without an arborist license. 😕
Only 1 way to get it done. 1 project at a time
Exactly!
is the power company called hydro as it is electricity
Yes! Sorry it’s referred to as Hydro here so it’s hard for me to switch up to just calling it electricity
