FYI, there are a ton of comments from someone pretending to be us. We are not offering a prize nor would we ask for any personal information or payment from anyone. These comments are a scam and we are unable to remove them or block them all. So please beware!
I think I reported all of them. I just hope that RUclips removes the comments and suspends the account. Fellow viewers, lets do our part and keep reporting these scammers.
@@spazzattack1188 thanks! We reported a bunch too, but wow there are a lot!
Oh...why do people have to go and try to ruin a good thing. I will keep watching and commenting every Blues Moon to impersonators or the real Greg and Katie.
That was easy for me to figure out that’s why I didn’t respond to it.
We all knew it wasn’t y’all! No worries, but everybody needs 2 report this! Great vid, guys! U have helped me tremendously on my solar decisions! Thanx 4 the link! 👌👍
Man! I love you guys! It's like watching two best friends struggling together to accomplish whatever needs to be done, no matter what. It's awesome😀😀!
As someone who is going to be going down the DIY solar pathway soon I appreciate this video .
"Holy fuck," he mutters under his breath..... LOL!
I love your smile Katie❤.Also, Greg is like little HULK, I like his work.
Youre a lucky man in a lot of ways
15.3kW system in our home, 48V as well. Hasn't let us down yet and energy prices have gone up since the install. Glad we did it. Videos of the system on our channel.
I see what you did there. 🤣🤣
We have a 5.6 kw of solar panels on our house, 6kw inverter and 4.6 kw Battery, it’s helping us out a lot with rising energy costs in the UK. We are connected to the grid for both gas and electric, we sell back the power we can’t use to the the grid. The last 2 months our every costs have been less than £15 a month.
Katie you were doing so well digging that cable up. then Greg had to come and show off,but I am happy for you having power in your home
😂
Juniper is adorable
Beautiful pup
I was grunting the whole time!
Hello, I have downloaded two versions of the user's manual. On page 9: Max. PV Array Open Circuit Voltage: 250V (old version), 390Vdc (new version). PV Array MPPT Voltage Range: 90Vdc~230Vdc (old version), 90Vdc~350Vdc (new version).
They did change the mppt voltage in the newer version
I love watching the way the two of you are working together!
Great stuff, as always
Self sufficient.
Little Juniper is so darn cute! I find myself looking for her in the background of your videos. Keep up the hard work Greg and Katie.
Very happy for you guys. Thanks for this video. I ordered mine today.
You go Girl! You're strong.
Great video Greg and Katie
My wife and I got a big laugh at your blue heeler chewing the box. Our blue heeler is three and still loves to destroy cardboard.
So happy for you guys, My grand daughter was watching with me and said Grandpa they are nice people. Stay happy healthy and safe.
I am liking your channel and your do it yourself attitude.
Congrats on the power ! Sweet lil puppy !
Power!!!
So excited for you two!! Congratulations and enjoy power in the house!! 🎉
Katie is amazing!!!! Great job hooking up everything
To move the batteries
Congratulation both of you,you are doing a fantastic job on you're house and you will see when everything is installed with lights, and water and heat that living is getting more relaxed and confy. You are such an inspiration for lots of young people( couples). Blessing to you both.
I have pretty much same unit (Not the same brand but they are all made by VoltronicPower in china and is sold under different brand names). My unit is 5.2KW and has been running non-stop for the last 3 years trouble free. Had to take it down once for cleaning but apart from that, its been quite reliable. Congrats for setting this up.
Have you connected a generator to it?
Can it be connected? If so, how do designate polarity?
@@cjmcay I haven't connected generator but i have it connected to the grid supply. The line, neutral and ground are clearly market at the connection points so it shouldn't be hard.
@@Ayzee5363 Thanks for the quick response! My solar guy told me the generator has a magnetic coil and won't be compatible? He said it will FRY my inverter? BTW: WOW, as for getting that 200 pound battery bank out at one time!
⚡️⚡️…a real upgrade and it is a critical game changer! 😎👍
Howdy have a great weekend ! Always keep my eye on y’all !
I had a 9.9 kw system for my house on the ocean but sold that house and never recouped the initial expenditure. You are doing it right in my book. Start small and manageable then grow as you need to. Nice yard of fowls in that pen. Glad you had success!
Ya'll should of used your nice bucket on the tractor
Way to go you two. Keep it real!
Hey looks amazing. Congrats on your new power toy. Hope the animals are okay with that bear. Thanks for sharing
The puppy was upset she was locked inside while I was yelling, but otherwise they all stay in the fence and bark at any sound. We let them bark for a little bit before stopping them. We havent seen the bear again
Wow, I really like the Sungold power Unit! Also, how great is to be a carpenter and, understand plumbing and electrical work, A all round, builder guy! How you guys get internet when you guys are in the forest and in the middle on nowhere?........... You guys are absolutely right!
We have starlink internet
I know I’m commenting a lot. Enjoying watching the struggle. 😁 Suggestion, try sliding a pole through the straps on a load like those batteries. Makes it easier to walk with it. Cracked me up on digging up the old power line. Reminds me of my wife and I. “So not fair!” comment has come up often around here. 😅
I love the fact you waste NOTHING!!👍🌲
looks good enough to stay there.
Super couple😃
Oh yeah, 50,000 SUBSCRIBERS!!!! Congratulations!!!!
That's amazing, what a fantastic job Guys. Well Done.
Thats a Voltronics unit. Same as the MPP LV6548. Parallel two of them for 240V. Your a damn strong girl to handle that heavy battery! Congrats!
Blessing to you too it's very nice to see a couple working together to fulfill their dream I live off grid and St Johns Arizona. Unfortunately I don't have the trees that you have which really upsets me but that is life I would love to be able to mill my own lumber
Good job !!!👍💪💪
You'r good, like to watch you and enjoy to see you working on your land. Felicitation for your new energy system .
i love the "if it comes in ready to assemble packs I'm OK" comment by Katie
Yay for power!!! 😁👏🏻❤️
AWESOME CONGRATS!
Always look forward to your smile Kattie.
I'm binge watching you today. I just watched the worst day in off grid living. Moving the sistren
The big fight scene. Lol you two crack me up.
Great job team
Be well be safe
I have a mttp all in one it's on its second year & I like it & iam off grid as well oh & it will also save u in gas cuz generator charge batteries when u have to use it & ur get more power for later that's the way to go
What would that be
@@harlanmclain1719 It's a fake account and they are running a SCAM trying to get you to send money for shipping. DON'T TALK TO THEM OR SEND ANY MONEY. Anytime you see a comment like that, report it!
I say this with respect and no disrespect to anyone but Katie definitely didn't miss leg day and apparently she didn't miss arm day either cuz she broke out the big guns today. Greg you had some good help and you did good too keep up the good work God bless from Missouri
Love your videos. Its really a feel good channel for me.
That's awesome 👌
Congratz!!! Nothing better than making your own power!!!
That looks great!
I can so relate! The complicated stuff goes well and the easy stuff (I hate cement board) takes so much time. Great work you two!!
Love your channel-you two work well together!
You and your lovely assistant did a great job. You've come so far. Your home is looking amazing. Can't wait to see the exterior when completed.
That girl is your neighbor?? Good work there. Good quality powersystem :)
Congradulation you two, well deserved ,love yeah & enjoy you also with your effers,

Hi guy! So … very happy for you guy’s and your knew solar. I can’t wait to see how this works. 🙏🏻🙏🏻Blessings

Another great video as usual. Lugging the batteries didin't look like fun. Love seeing the new dog.
Congrats on 50 k subscribers!
Thanks 😁
Looks pretty nice. 😊 wish this stuff would have been available when we built our house.
Canadian girls f n rock.
Well done! Enjoy , a step closer to stop living in your bus.
Keep the good work Guapa.
You should have used the bucket on the tractor, cos metal & hydraulics don't complain in 20 years.
But your bodies will !!!
the dog stole the show it georgeous
nice
We just installed a dual EG 6500 EX system for 240 split phase for the house we're building. We bought 2 EG4 Powerlife batteries so we've got a 13kw system with 11kwh storage. Found some CanadianSolar 445 Watt bifacial panels from SanTan Solar in Arizona and got a dozen of those. Now we've got to clear the top of a hill for our solar array. It's a lot of work, but worth it when you can generate all the power you need for yourself.
It will be amazing when it's all hooked up
Sweet! I have two of those SunGold 6500 units sitting in the boxes. I will be setting them up in a couple weeks on my off-grid property. Will be paired up with about 8KW of bifacial panels and 2 Trophy 48V 100AH batteries. I am looking forward to getting it all setup.
Nice setup!
@@ThisOffGridLife you guys and several other channels inspired me to continue my off grid journey after losing my wife. It was our dream.
@@blaxtarr good on you! 👍🏻 I’m over 60 and we are off grid now. By accident more than design really but it’s the best decision we ever made. I think you are going to need more batteries for your system. 😊👍🏻
@@blaxtarr sorry about your loss
@Farm Villa I'm off grid by accident also. They cut off all power to the yard I store all my equipment at and actually live there. I'm just single so I don't need a lot but I'm doing this Sun gold 6500 with three server rack batteries everything's coming in very soon and I'm going to have about 3000 Watts worth of solar panel maybe a second string also. Trying to figure out my wire size at the moment. I think they're sending me four gauge wire but I might need bigger. I know on my 12-volt system I have 1/0
Good job guy's. what other works for you guy's. might be in the hiuse in no time. God bless
Thank you for this video. I wanted something like this but didn't know if I should. You converted me. 💯 Glad you are happy with it. I too follow Will Prouse but couldn't find his review. He is my go to person for anything solar. Thank you for the link to the system. I will be ordering soon. Stay strong, safe and healthy ☮️🙏☯️
it's okay to pray.
cool I'm as we speak taking a break from installing a growatt all in one
Power in the house
nice re brand mpp solar inverter
next time buying 2/0 cable buy welding cable .... much cheaper than battery cable...check the prices...I was replacing the Positive batt cable in a 67 shelby ..(battery is in the trunk) battery cable 26"ft was almost 100 us... welding cable 2/0 was 3o+ us... `1/3 the price
Otra cosa más que es muy importante . saludos desde la sierra de Madrid España
Great video guys , Doing so well , Can you do a short video detailing more of the solar system , re solar panels and battery's , costs etc .. That would be very helpful
That looks like a great solar system guys ,going to the link..⚡⚡⚡😇
Katinator flex those muscles lol
It's a good thing Katy's strong
WONDERFUL!!! 😎
Messages won’t send😂😂
@@mlutke4067 This is a common scam on RUclips. It is a FAKE account and they will ask your for money for shipping. DON'T DO IT!!!!!!
Wow....some of the fan comments have been really jaded!.....meet Greg and Katie....the poster board children for an accident waiting to happen. Glad to see the fan pressure working....finally....work boots, ear cans, and safety glasses on Greg....ahh....Katie ain't ready to join the club just yet, but I did see matching ear plugs with those button earrings. I'm sending some really rad lady's safety glasses and a Johnny Depp eye-patch kit. Wear that in front of the mirror taking a video because that's what you'll look like forever if a false and errant discharge from a nail gun changes the way you look. The bikini's were nice but not needed. You have a presence of sophistication, easy on the eyes, and you can talk to the camera with ease and confidence. Very photogenic and capturing. The rest is window dressing. It's time to get rid of the flip flops and croc's....yeah, my crews always showed up in those to do construction work...right before I sent them to see Doctor Threefingers and his sidekick, Tommy Tootoes and his Nurse Marla Halfathumb to sew their fingers and toes back on. Greg is a 5-star craftsman. I wish I had 20 guys like him to get the job done right. Love watching you guys work.
Hey Greg....when you converted that 24V to 48V battery array....I'm assuming those were 6V batteries....4 hooked in series times 2 groups....then the 2 groups hooked together in parallel or series???....2 - 24V setups hooked together, or all 8 in series. What were all those light gauge white wires hooked to the batteries in a scattered pattern? Looking to do my own setup to get off the grid. Great videos, watched all of them to catch up. If Cougars, Mountain Lions and 'da Bears' (not the football team)....are your next high risk encounter, just remember, the chickens are hors d' oeuvres, the dogs and goats are side dishes....and you guys are the main course. Be wise and be ultra careful....please.
Not sure if I did that right....new to me.
The battery bank is a 48v (16s) lifepo4 bank made from 3.2v cells.
Katie works hard too, just in different ways.
Hej from Germany, Greg - ist there something you can`t do?? Insanity !! Hats off.........
Everyone has the capacity to learn!
@@ThisOffGridLife hmmm, yes but not for all.....
13'45 greg clean you glassed and untuck that collar / this is your mum speaking LOL
When are you going to put the siding on the house
Cool
Damn... she called him out...
"You prayed?" 🤔🤣🤦🏼♂️
first time I've seen hydraulic crimping tool / man the stuff I learn here
120V output though. Need 240/120 to run well pump.
Katie, you are the strongst woman I have ever seen. Both of you be careful with your backs. Love you both.
