I’ve been going to concerts for over 30 years. I’ve seen a lot of different genres of music live. I’ve got a shoebox stuffed full of concert stubs. Everything from classical, to rap, to death metal. Floor is absolutely the greatest live singer/performer and has incredible stage presence. On top of that she seems so genuinely nice in interviews. She’s a kick ass metal queen on stage and has a sweet maternal vibe off of it

As a drummer I can say that Storytime has one of the most difficult part to play. Still haven't nailed it myself and I'm trying it over 2 years now. Insane but I love it ❤️❤️🤘

I really like your Nightwish reactions. My advice is that you keep on with the "old stuff" for a while longer and then you have a brand new album to dig in to. There are some absolutely magic stuff in there (my personal favorite is "Shoemaker" were Floor basically sings herself out in space).
You HAVE to see next the member you haven't seen in Nightwish yet: Troy Donockley, the pipeman! He's insane multi-instrumentalist who plays Uilleann pipes, wooden flutes, tin whistles, e-bow, acoustic guitar, bouzouki, mandola, bodhran etc... Try for example My Walden live at Tampere 2015 where he also sings the intro.

Went to see them at Manchester Arena December 2018 best experience of my life. Made even better by being the last time we all managed to get out as a family. It was an incredible night no band can beat Nightwish for their live showmanship while staying totally on point musically. Please could you react to either The poet and the pendulum or The Greatest Show on Earth. Pan, Noise and Tribal from their New album are incredible in fact just set up camp in the rabbit hole and listen to the whole album no fillers on a Nightwish album. So good to see a new Nightwish fan in making! Nightwish is just beyond amazing! They were my first metal band and they actually saved my life with their music, I don't know what I'd do without them. And their concerts are an experience! Also I think you should react to Avantasia - The Scarecrow from Wacken. If you love Nightwish you will love Avantasia as well! c:
Storytime is one of my all-time favorites, alongside with Élan, She Is My Sin, I Wish I Had An Angel (all of them except Élan btw are on this setlist). Ever Dream will blow you away, cant recommend it enough (from the same Wacken) ;) Trust me -- you have not heard even 10% of what Nightwish and Floor capable of!
Last Ride of the Day from this same performance is another one that you'd really like. It's kind of similar to Storytime. If you want to see more of how versatile a singer Floor is, I highly recommend all of her performances on Beste Zangers, a Dutch tv show that aired last year. Also, Shoemaker from Nightwish's new album, Human:Nature. I've seen a lot of recommendations for Poet and the Pendulum. A word of warning, though. While Nightwish and their publishers are really good about not blocking reaction videos, Poet is an exception. I've heard that it isn't actually them, but it's something to do with a rapper who sampled the beginning of the song, and he and/or his publishers are responsible. Frequent pauses usually seem to keep it from happening, though.
Nightwish is so greeeaaat. You listen one of their songs and you are hooked. That happened to me also, and so many other as well. Nowadays I can't even go to sleep until I listen two or three of their "lullabyes" 😂. That tells how hooked I am and how damn good they are. Thanks for you great reactions and take care my friend.

This is one of the very "catchy" (in a positive way) songs. There is so much more to explore. So many different styles/facets :-) For the "heavier" side: Ghost River (Wacken 2013) Last Ride of the Day (Wacken 2013) ans my favorite song for the heavy and up-tempo side of Nightwish (amongst many other songs): "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" (Buenos Aires)
Yes, that is Nightwish. Every song is different, but they all are Nightwish. My personal favorite is Ghost Love Score, but there are at least 30 songs which comes very close, and this is most definitely one of them. It's quite funny, that as a guitarist, most of my musical influences came from Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden and even Gary Moore, but Nightwish was the band, which really got my heart. And yet, it's the biggest reason I never became a "seriuos" musician. You see, in 1996 me and my brother got exactly same idea about metal band with female singer, but then I needed to go to army. Few months later I was broke, and I needed money, so I sold my guitar (because it was pretty expensive). Then in 1998 came Nightwish with their second album "Oceanborn", and it was exactly what I had dreamed about. And they had done it so well, that it kind of crushed my dreams. We could never find a singer who could match with Tarja for example. It took me about four seconds in my first listen to become a fan. I don't want to reveal anything else from that album, but I just say this, it is very different than these later albums. So, I suggest you do Stargazers soon (original album version). They did it Floor also (Tampere 2015), and it's of course very good also, but for me it's the album version, which brings back those memories.

Yes! I'll second Marco as a great singer, as well as Tarja. Many songs from the End of an Era concert are great, like Wishmaster, the Siren, and Slaying the dreamer. Also, as you mentioned, Phantom of the Opera.
Just a heads up, most (if not all) of the tracks on the Wacken 2013 concert have the lyrics subtitled available using the RUclips closed captions option.

Sleeping Sun is also a masterpiece, where Floor just takes all 25000 - 30000 people into a mind blowing journey into a completely unique voice and emotional mood into the beauty of nature. Start with This is the Time (Ballast), then try Jenny (song about his sister’s struggle with addiction and mental health), MrMTV, Fade In/Fade Out, its all amazing. Good reactions so far. I feel this is NW's more "poppy" song as its quite fast and catchy but I really enjoy it. I would definitely have a listen to High Hopes cover and then maybe get into some more of the longer songs after doing some research. Poet and Pendulum from Wembley. Needs a good 10mins of background reading and also the only song I know of that has copyright STRIKES! So pause and talk for 30secs every 3-4mins to get around it (or you can upload to Facebook and post link on RUclips). Greatest show on Earth, live from Tampere is ~20minutes long and just needs a quick research to know what its about, should make it better to watch....and watch until the video ends fully. Another good song from Tampere (well, they're all good lol) is Weak Fantasy, and I think it also helps to know what this song is about before listening too.
Next you should do either Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembely or Greatest Show on Earth live at Tempure, both by the way have a different drummer. Jukka, the drummer you've seen so far had to leave the band in 2013 for health reasons. Kai is the new drummer and great friend fo Jukka. Also in case you have not figured it out through other comments or research yet, Floor is the bands 3rd and best singer. The original singer was Tarja - Pure opera singer, the second was Annette - Pop singer never was a good fit, then finally Floor, the Viking goddess who can sing anything.
Weak Fantasy live at Tampere. You'd love it. And never give in to the comments and your urge to respond to them. Do your thing and make sure to take distance to the incoming likes and subs to a certain extent. Just be grateful for them and make sure it is heard but not much else. Or you are doing it wrong my friend. Why am I telling you this? Because they are incoming.
As you listen to songs from this Wacken show, just remember this show was Aug 3, 2013. It was the culimination (well, they did two more shows after this) of a world tour which had been going since January 2012. Floor had been singing these songs live for nearly a year at this point. They sound super tight because of this, better than studio quality on most of the songs, frankly. Since your video titles begin "Guitarist Reacts...", I would offer this as inspiration to you. Not everyone can write like Tuomas, that's obviously true, but in terms of instrumental proficiency... it could be you. There's no reason you cannot become someone others are reacting to in the future. And wouldn't that be hella-cool?

Go back far enough in the catalog and maybe they can do a little wrong, yeah. Nymphomaniac Fantasia is widely regarded as Not Their Best Work but even then, it’s just cringeworthy lyrics more than bad music. They’re really amazing. You really need to try Shudder Before the Beautiful from the Wembley show (showstopper of an opening number) and if you like their heavy side and Marko’s voice, give Master Passion Greed a listen.
Floor's stage presence has been compared to Freddie Mercury.....BTW, Floor is a bit of a gym rat, weighing in at 80 kilos....note the upper arms and shoulders

Don't sleep on Marco and the original singer Tarja. Try out the end of an era version of phantom of the opera. It's mind blowing in it's own way.

As you listen to songs from this Wacken show, just remember this show was Aug 3, 2013. It was the culimination (well, they did two more shows after this) of a world tour which had been going since January 2012. Floor had been singing these songs live for nearly a year at this point. They sound super tight because of this, better than studio quality on most of the songs, frankly. Since your video titles begin "Guitarist Reacts...", I would offer this as inspiration to you. Not everyone can write like Tuomas, that's obviously true, but in terms of instrumental proficiency... it could be you. There's no reason you cannot become someone others are reacting to in the future. And wouldn't that be hella-cool?

Go back far enough in the catalog and maybe they can do a little wrong, yeah. Nymphomaniac Fantasia is widely regarded as Not Their Best Work but even then, it’s just cringeworthy lyrics more than bad music. They’re really amazing. You really need to try Shudder Before the Beautiful from the Wembley show (showstopper of an opening number) and if you like their heavy side and Marko’s voice, give Master Passion Greed a listen.
