So here a few recommendations: Storytime (live at wacken) Yours Is An Empty Hope (live at wembley) 7 Days To The Wolves (live at wembley) Ghost River (live at wacken) Or just every song from Wacken 2013, the Wembley or Tampere show (they ar all amazing).
Nightwish is all about the layering of their sound. They have a single guitarist so they can't get overly fancy with layered guitars but they use everything else to build up the song and the vocals are a big part of it. They have fun and the back and forth energy with the crowd is amazing!
They have a Pink Floyd cover of High Hopes if you wanna hear Marko Hietala (Bass) on Vocals (Live End of an Era) and Islander live at Tampere ;) good reaction mate! :)
@@Warrenm70 One of the best live performance solos of all time i must say :) There's not many people that can do justice to David Gilmour solos and Emppu nailed it perfectly with even adding his own signature :)

How could you forget her name?! :D Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen, she is Dutch). She has classical background, rock academy behind, and used to be a vocal coach for a number of years. Floor is the most versatile and powerful female singer today and can sing anything from more pop-y style, classic opera, to metal screams and growls. She is crazy good. And the singing viking bassist name is Marco, and he is awesome vocalist too; he has his own solo project outside the band. Drummer is Jukka ("Yukka"), but he was replaced later by Kai Hahto because of health issues. I can recommend Storytime, Ghost River and Dark Chest Of Wonders from the same show for the next step ;) Like your reactions, keep going! )

When writing and composing music, dont do it to fit what you believe others feel is the correct way, do it as the music feels right to do. As you can see, Nightwish doesn't stick to what is "expected" to be heard but, what WILL be heard. ;) I enjoyed your Reaction. Hope the music inspires your own creations out there.

If you want some more epic songs that go really out of their way in terms of structure and styles: Check out "Poet and the Pendulum" from the Wembley concert and "The Greatest Show on Earth" from the Tampere concert, both from 2015. If you like this super simple but bombastic stuff and wanna stick with it, I can recommend "End of All Hope" from the Buenos Aires 2018 concert or "Weak Fantasy" from the 2015 concert in the Wembley stadium.

Dont think i have heard a bad nightwish song yet offcourse some of the older songs from earlier singer's can sound bad compared to live versions with Floor but they still good :)

Very nice reactions. Nightwish is incredible, and I think it has a lot to give for songwriters as well. If you want to hear something completely different, try Scaretale. It's with their previus singer, Anette Olson. There is no good live version of that song (half descent official live by NW standards, so I guess it's pretty good still), so I recommend unofficial fan made video, which uses album track and clips from their live performances and their Imaginaerum movie (yes, they have made a movie): ruclips.net/video/rnYrscO5eN8/видео.html

Being speechless after a Floor-era Nightwish song is expected. You’re recovering from a Floorgasm. (We all experience them 😏 ...and they’re addicting)
