On occasion, I've said that Nightwish's symphonic component incorporates a 6 section orchestra; choirs, strings, percussion, brass, wind, and Troy Donockley.

Oh, you know what? Suggestion for branching out (while still doing more Nightwish because, I mean, we're kind of insatiable about that): Band-Maid, a 5 piece band from Japan. Strong hard rock compositions and three of the best musicians you'll listen to. I always like to suggest the music video "Dice" as a great introduction, but generally they're better live. "Dice" is a great declaration of intent - they will grab you by the ear and explain, in no uncertain terms, what fun, hard driving rock sounds like. I think you'd find Stargazers (Live at Tampere) to be really interesting. Floor delivers just about the whole performance in an operatic style.
