This song is all Tuomas, to me. He is the Storyteller, the Master illusionist. He is the story that reads us real. He is the journey and the destination. It ALL comes out of his head. Sigh. Feel like you've been hit by a freight train?
@@572Btriode Tuomas is crazy smart and well read. Even Richard Dawkins, who does not suffer fools gladly, said that they were intelligent and brilliant musicians. High praise indeed.
Something I love more about this performance than Floor's vocals and stage presence is Tuomas' simile 💕 he has such a sweet, soft smile than warms my heart, and Floor has managed to keep him smiling like that since she joined the band
I think so too. Floor is such a fresh breath and source of creativity.. I am so excited to see what story awaits Nightwish in the future. They all seem so happy again, especially Tuomas.
I guess that's why he is smiling ;-) he knows and can see it with every song that they have the best female vocalist ever in a metal band and the fans just love her for a good reason. 💖💖💥
You are so damn RIGHT! Since 2012 Tuomas is smiling and I hope it'll last forever. Even if their will be no such songs like Poet and the Pendulum (definitely one of the greatest songs he ever wrote). 😜🤘
@Travis: 4:25 Marco's bass here is a Warwick Buzzard bass, originally designed by the Warwick founder together with and for John Entwistle of The Who in 1985. Marco is a Warwick endorser. In earlier years' videos like on The End Of An Era Live DVD, you mostly see him with his Warwick Infinity. During the last years, he is often seen with his Warwick Vampyre and his double-neck custom bass which is again an Infinity married with a Warwick/Framus guitar.
I tought it was a warwick vampyre, but a quik Google search told me I was mistaken. Anyway the warwick basses are beautiful, a work of art in my opinion.
Are you sure you didn't mix up Vampyre and Katana? Also, he has several double-necks. I think we've seen Warwick Infinity/ Framus Panthera with Nightwish and Warwick Starbass II/Framus Mayfield in Isäni Ääni video.
Ever Dream, Storytime. Back to back songs from this legendary concert. The energy is just unimaginable ... Highest peak of the concert(s). I can't think of a better duo.. Also, must add 5:56.
Travis, after all these reactions, you still just can't help but drop your jaw. :D Isn't it a noble and enlightened way of spending our brief time in the sun To work at understanding the Nightwish universe and how we have come to wake up in it?
Hi from the UK. Fans love Nightwish...Nightwish love their fans and fully engage with them making the whole performance inclusive...Everytime a classic "Floorgasm" is experienced! Best wishes.
Thomas has the nicest smile. And i think he smiles so often on the concerts, because he gets to experience his compositions in perfection brought to life, right before his ears and eyes!
One of my faves from Nightwish (I have many! 🤣🤣) But this performance is out of this world! And everyone in the band is enjoying so much, Emppu is smiling, Marko is singing the song totally in major happiness, Jukka is feeling every single moment, and Tuomas is freaking Smiling! And what we can say about Floor!? Simply Majestic! And this is freaking liveeeeee!!! This masterpiece of a performance bring so much joy in my life!! Thank you Nightwish! And thank you Wolf Hunterz for the amazing reaction! I got goosebumps just seeing you being blown away!! Cheers!
This is one of my favorites Nightwish songs, so happy that you finally ”found” it. Floors vocals just gives it a little more edge and power even though I did love the original album version too. Ty for your reaction.
You wanna see their playfulness and performances by Marco, Troy, Emppu plus some Floor dancing, check out I want my Tears Back, Live in Buenos Aires 2019.
That my friend is a Warwick Buzzard....Marco is a Warwick base artist. Speaking of gear: This never gets old. Juuka grooving on his TAMA double-base set, Emppu driving the rhythm in his signature ESP EV-1, Marco giving us epic base lines in his Warwick Buzzard, Tuomas sharing his genius on his KORGs and Floor leading the crowd like a modern-day 6-foot 1-inch Valkyrie and seducing like a siren. They are all at the top of the talent tree. Each one alone could lead a band into greatness let alone all five of them. One of the best live performances of all time. Not only musically but staging and production is unmatched.
Can't tell you how many times I've watched this video. Floor is out of this world great. But how about Jukka? He is ferocious, the way he literally stalks his drums and pounds out the heartbeat of Nightwish from the jump, to the end. Incredible.
At last🤪 been waiting for this one, probably one of the catchiest songs ever created and my 2nd favourite NW, made even better better watching Travis’ expressions 😂 another great reaction 🤘
Love it! I think I will listen again... hehehehe. seen, listened to 1000x , never gets old! Last Ride of the Day/ Wacken goes right along with this one...
Dear Female Wolf Hunter. Watch yourself in this reaction video at roughly 5:50 or so. Watch your concentration, and your transition from (maybe) analytical to joy when Floor goes to her head voice. I think it is joy. Good reaction HunterZ. Buying some of your music. Maybe an another nickel in your account. And subbed.
This song is my favorite official video from Nightwish. The creepy carnival vibe was so awesome! On a side note, Anette may have had her limitations compared to Tarja and Floor, but Tuomas did so well writing songs to fit the vocalists. This song is one great example of that.
From time to time during this tour, they opened the show with this song. This was the first song Floor sang with NW on that fateful night in Seattle in 2012. you should look it up. it's a stark illustration of how Floor was then vs this performance. Night and day.
Finally🤘🏻😄 I have been waiting for this moment. 😁 I love this song so much. First thing in the morning (early) I saw now this.. Will be good day ❤️🤘🏻🤘🏻
I love watching your faces during these reactions. I know when Floor or Marco is about to let rip, and watching your faces at those moments is a delight. Love your work!
I watched the documentary about them last night. The learn the set list in 48 hours. It was so good. Im so glad Floor stayed with them. And I didn't know she wasn't with them when they did this concert :O Just a "fill in". She fits so well!
This is a perfect example of a great song made as perfect as a song can be by Floor. The first song I ever heard from them and one of my favourites, certainly the best chorus they've done IMHO.

He is the guy with the funny hat..Everybody's clapping and he's standing between them like a statue. look at the time of 5.31 and around 5.38..haha he travelled from 2020 to that concert to find out a world with no social distancing and don't know how to react....haha love your reactions
Marco's bass is from Warwick, and was designed custom for John Entwhistle of The Who. his was black, though. Marco is sponsored by Warwick guitars. he uses their Vampire bass at Wembley.
how many hard rock/ metal songs do you know of that talk of the innocence of every man, the empty crib of Peter Pan, and soaring kites across a blue, blue sky? that's one of my fav aspects of this band. Tuomas writes about personal things, but also about Disney themes, science is a huge topic, it's not just always about sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll or obvious themes like love and death. his poetry carries the songs as much as his composing talent. Follow the madness, Alice you know once did...
I totally agree. The lyrics are unique, especially for this kind of music. It gave all the songs (and the band as well) an extra dimension. They are special and talented in every way, aren't they? Love it.
