    I booked the E-spec as I dont really need the extra features in the V. I enjoyed the drive in the HR-V more than the Cross , mostly due to the turbo and the extra horses it brought to the table. Interms of ride, the Cross is a bit more firm and stable. The NVH of both are comparable and I have not much issue with both. HR-V do have that very useful magic seat feature! Another excellant video uncle Khong!

    • @emilylimsl9884
      @emilylimsl9884 2 года назад +8

      Up to your preference. But performance is not necessary have to be important these days as many buyers are now focusing on features, safety features that come with blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, 360 camera, front parking sensors and power tailgate, durability, comfort, design and others. Without that, not worth to buy HRV. Corolla Cross has better comfort with bigger boot space with more features and better safety features compare to HRV. Even quality for Honda is also not really better than those competitors like Subaru, Toyota, Mazda and Peugeot

    • @bigglyguy8429
      @bigglyguy8429 2 года назад +14

      @@aimanfitri0iv It's a known issue, the turbo forces fuel past the piston rings and they end up diluting the oil with petrol, leading to fast wear and tear, which just makes the situation worse. Honda will replace the engine if it fails under warranty, and they tried adjusting the ECU to make the engine run hotter, but the problem persists. I was hoping perhaps they had redesigned it but nope, Uncle says it's the same engine as the Civic. I test drove the HRV 1.8 when it came out, not enough power, so had hopes for this, HRV with power? Yes! But no, not if it's that engine. Disappointed Honda still selling this engine with so many known issues. Like Ford with their 10 speed gearbox, too expensive to change so they just keep selling it, knowing it will fail early, just hoping outside the warranty. Pretty low.

      The V spec has a turbo, so is good for those who want a lot of power. The people who go for the Cross would want better overall economy, and generally drive at more gentle speeds.
      The Cross is based on the Corolla base, so is C segment, whilst the HRV is based on the Jazz/ City base, so the trim levels reflect that.
