Hi uncle, how would you rate this new HRV’s cornering as compare to the CX-30’s cornering?
The CX 30 is based on a Mazda3 amd the HRV is based on a City.
what's your thought on HRV s-spec? considering this price range or lower. cx-3 or new wr-v.
About the same power, except that one has a 6 speed auto and the other has a cvt. Choose the one you prefer.
Good job, great video, keep it up!
Is Honda City 2022 V and latest Honda Hrv 2022 CVT is the same? Or slightly different...
Slightly different. The HRV cvt has a different final drive ratio, according to a report by Honda product team
Uncle memang legend ✌️👌👍
Uncle ys, not sure if you will still see this, but i also just saw ur review on the subaru xv gt, which is about the same price as this, which would you recommend getting?
Hi, the power hungry will take the HRV turbo, but the ones that want stability in the wet and good handling overall will go for the XV.
Uncle Khong im looking to sell my fortuner 2.7 Petrol to get a new large 7 seater PETROL SuV that is more comfortable for my older Mother and family (dogs etc). what car do u recommend around 200ish K price? Kia Karnival is not an option due to diesel engine. Also we already have a mazda CX9 which we love.
Maybe new Ford Everest (to launch soon end of this month), nice look & using same platform as Ford Ranger (more comfort)...but not sure is it using petrol or diesel...l am sorry & l know u are asking uncle Khong but l just give my suggestion...😅
how about a slightly used volvo XC90/XC60 hahah. or it would be cool to also have a CX8 at the same time
Try CX8, a bit smaller than CX9, very nice 7 seater suv.
@@wanbee3635 wow bro i never even considered this. I will look into this cheers bro.
@@truthurts704 haha this sounds like a good plan too awww yeaa ive always wanted to go to sisma auto.
Tqsm uncle…..! Many many info abaut hrv…..! 2x watching this video 🫣
So how is it to compare with Mazda CX30 😃
This one has more power, the other has a quieter chassis, and more premium
Uncle, I'm torn in between corolla cross v spec and HRV v, any advice?
Both are okay. Take one each
Hi Uncle YS, how do its suspension and cornering do compared to Toyota Corolla Cross?
The Cross and HR V are built almost similar in terms of suspension.
what you use the gear while climbing ? normal or sport?
Sport if you want power
Awesome lah Uncle...
how is the fuel consumption on average?
Good if you dont gun it
will there be facelift/new generation this year?
Not sure but should be coming soon. Normally 2 years to facelift
@@YSKhongDriving thanks for the reply. I will wait for facelift/new model.
nice looking car... but the noise on rough road is terrible .. wont you agree with me uncle?
I was okay with the sound.
Does changing the tyres to Michelin Pilot Sport 5 makes any difference?
A better tyre would of course make a difference to the grip level.
Hi
Are you guys notice the the cvt whining at 22.20 onward time? Or its normal when in high rpm?
Normal at high RPM
Normal given its small 1.5 engine in a relatively larger car, with the turbo making it work even harder.
Which year?
Hi YS Khong, may I know how is the handling of this car when compare with corolla cross tnga?
I think the Cross may have a bit of advantage on handling, but the HR V certainly has more power
@@YSKhongDriving thanks YS Khong. 😊
Sound proof ok ke tu
sound insulation between hrv & corolla cross which one better?
Cross noise insulation better because it is still a C segment where else HRV still a B segment car although price is similar. But if you want modern looks both outside and inside then HRV wins
Why buy Corolla Cross than HRV
Corolla Cross got:
- Blind spot monitor
- Around view monitor
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Nicer design
- Reliable
- Temperature meter
- Front parking sensors
HRV don’t have
- Blind spot monitor (LaneWatch but one side only)
- Around View Monitor
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Temperature Meter
- Front parking sensor
HRV also:
- Unreliable including Earth Dream Gearbox
- Spare parts problem
- Not as good as previous HRV
@@therobbieguy2399 Everyone's has a different taste. If indeed cross is better in everything then how come hrv is topple toyota cross in terms of sales. My advice is just buy whatever car you like. There are no one car (in the case suv) that's suited everyone. Happy Shopping 🚗
Let's using HRV around 3 years, after that we can look what happen. It's that reliable?
Casie because that time, many people can’t wait to get toyota including other brands like peugeot, mazda and Subaru, when comes with good specs including come with blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and camera parking system, so no choice but to change order to HRV from Corolla Cross. Without that, the story will be more different. But now, HRV waiting period delivery is even longer than the waiting period for Corolla Cross
Performance seems quite nice, cvt noise is there but it’s bearable lah.
Nice to see hrv, nice to drive hrv, once you feel that regret on many defect qualities like what happened to my honda before I sold off to change to another brand, you will regret buying honda
which is better driving Corolla cross or hrv?
Each has its own good points. I like the HRV for its power and the Cross for its stability and looks
Hrv vs cx30
Which one is better overall?
Each has its good points
Uncle, how is this compare to civic fe? Since the engine r same
Watch the video and hear my comments. I am sure you did not watch the full video.
how did you mount the camera in the middle sir..great visdeo by the way
We used a special camera mount
Hrv 1.5turbo vs x50 vs 2008. Which is better in term of driving dynamic?
no way this one win over 2008
2008better
Most small SUV drives the same. After all suv is for small family not to take fast corners. If you want singles then don't buy suv get sedans
@@casie8621 I do agree but there could be differences in term of road feedback and driving fun in all the models.
@@casie8621 Sedan is best. Comfort also best
I'm curious .if high spec turbo hrv uses H shape rear or independent strut
Torsion beam
This one handles better than the Toyota Corolla Cross?
Hard to tell, because this is a faster machine.
Uncle Kong.u prefer this HRV 1.5 TURBO V SPEC or X70 in terms of overall aspect.
If I want size, the X70 is bigger, and is C segment. The HRV is B segment, but probably more frugal on fuel.
Uncle did u kept traction control on when driving Civic FE up Genting last time?
No, it was off, I think. This time the road was a bit damp, so we kept it on, just in case.
Hi sir how does it feel compared to cx30 mazda? Especially driving experience and suspension feel both using torsion beam.
CX30 is based on C segment platform, while the HRV is based on a B segment platform
New hrv better than x50 ka? sorry it just question😢
It's a good question!
Uncle how does a CVT comes with a 7 speed? is it just placebo effect?
There are virtual ratios. Watch the video and decide if it is a placebo effect.
ahhahahahahahhahaha Scirocco and A4 pun kasi gasak, power la UNCLE YS!
how about compared to mazda cx 30
Uncle maybe u can try another honda peti ais stepwagon 1.5 turbo with 148ps 203nm.
I don't mind, tapi cannot get the car. I have driven the StepWagon in Japan- a trip up Genting would be great.
Is it type hrv turbo or hybrid ...most people buy in malaysia?
Depends on personal preference.
2022 Peugeout 2008 vs 2022 HRV which you prefer?
Tough decision.
Wanna ask if inside feel sampan or not? Thx
Not. But you can watch the video. Driving technique helps.
Kind of noisy, is Toyota cross more quite ?
Anything pushed hard on our mountain will be noisy.
Nice.
Btw, look forward to you trying out the latest Mitsubishi Xpander this year. :)
It's also CVT already now.
