Bet y'all didn't see this comin! This is a random project that I thought would be fun to do! Please excuse any mistakes as this is my first car review! Hope you enjoy it and share it! Cheers!
Just got the car of S spec from here. I really like it, upgraded from Saga. To me it is already more than enough, and the car is very nice and smooth for point A to point B requirement😊😊
Eco mode is on, turn it off and throttle response will be better. Also these engines are rev happy, beyond 4k RPM is where you unlock the true potential. Nice review by the way~
Keep doing this way when you reviewing car(s)...There's tons of video talking about spec, speed, engine, etc. Yes, its important but all goes to the same ending - the comfort of driving....I'm having a 2016 hrv now, this is what i like to hear, an opinion of a normal person..not expert or engineer.
I've bought this model and i truly love it and the consumption is even lower than honda specification, comfortably around 24/26 km/l and this is not the top level
Hey who would've known. I actually enjoyed this review extremely much. Very relatable things shared across to viewers instead of the typical reviews we have.
Thank you. This video help me not to regret after chose this spec. Everyone told me "why u did not choose the higher spec, at least E spec. It's turbo". So what if it's turbo? I'm a woman, i'll just pick the standard.
This is my favorite car for this year. The exterior/design is the most attractive part, but I think the interior design is a little bit "plain". Do you guys feel the same or it just me?
Nice review! I bought the S variant too and you are right that this is definitely for city driving. Tried this in the highways, power is adequate and didnt really feel lacking. You need to build up speed though if you want it to be fast.
wow they made the HRV a 4 seater... on the older models it was a 5 seater. The middle seat in the back was a proper seat which could be seated comfortably. But overall it looks great
drove it for a month, suprise with the fuel intake, its quite bad and consuming high amount of fuel. I think its due to gap propotion between kerb weight and the engine, the engine is quite small for such a big heavy SUV.
Very nice review, just right length and sufficient info. Don't have to sound over-smart like a car 'expert', a normal review good for the masses. Similar to how you review the gadgets, good job Lim.
Been driving the HRV 1.5L version here in Australia for 8 months now and also owned a 1.5L Honda City, the same engine with Jazz/Fit. There’s a significant decrease in acceleration & increase engine noise. The Jazz & City drives breezy but the HRV screams ‘vrooooom am a tiny engine fitted in a bigger body!’😂 You expect this generation will have an improved cabin noise? Nope, still with poor sound insulation & even the speakers lack sound quality. The steering wheel is hideous, non-leather, polyurethane material that feels cheap to touch. I say this because it’s always hands on the wheel when you drive. Here, the base model includes the safety feature driver assist technology but excluded the blind spot monitoring system & fog lights that should come standard these days. Also the rear AC vents is absent here. It‘s essential for backseat passengers during frequent heatwaves & cold snaps! There’s also no spare tyre so good luck calling a rescue vehicle away from the city! Buyer’s remorse? As I owned a Honda City for a decade without major issues, the HRV is a reliable daily driver. But owning it long-term & loving it? No. The overall cabin comfort & driving experience is uninspiring. Speaker is inferior for a good music or podcast during traffic jams & long drive. You want to drive relaxed, swift & smooth but the engine is noisy & sluggish. I bought this model because I was desperate to get a car post-pandemic & it’s readily available compared to other vehicles with a wait time of more than a year. Second hand cars got expensive due to supply & demand. Verdict: avoid this base model if you want a fun to drive car. If the budget permits, get the hybrid or turbo variant. Just my opinion and personal experience. Those who own this model or planning to get one, please don’t be offended. You’re entitled to your own preference.🙂
The D seg Accord & Camry, the bigger seg 5 series & E class, their back center seat are not comfortable at all to sit to be honest. That's why u see many ppl who has 5 - 6 family member they straight go for Alphard & Veilfire on the road bcs those car has much more space more & bigger seats.
It has a vtec right, that may explain it is noisier when it kicks in? I also see an ECON mode turn on throughout the test driving. This will impact performance.
Many said that HRV S spec using City engine but body weight is about 250kg heavier than City's body is under powered. Would be interesting to see how the S spec perform uphill.
You are exactly right. Coming from a Honda City myself, I do feel that you have to floor the pedal more but that's to be expected. Still can go up Genting without sweat.
@@LimReviewsello, given HRV is heavier than city, apart from slightly under power, will it consume more petrol? Im contemplating between HRV S vs WRV. Appreciate yr reviews.
in all honesty, most video reviews only cares about the top variant. rarely highlights the low specs, its bells and whistles. exterior wise is good looking but the seats are ugly, no matter how you wanna put it. the middle rear seat is adding more salt to the wound.
This HRV is not meant for high speed running and hard cornering. During cornering just take it easy, release the accelerator. Natural aspirated 1.5 engine of course the engine will produce a revving sound. But we are not revving the engine all the time.
Quiet interior is not a word I would use to describe the previous HRV. Both from a lack of NVH dampening effort and the absolute piss poor job of local assembly.
yoo i like it i have 2017 Chevy cruze LT hatchback and i am thinking to get a new one i am just wondering what is the highest model of that car due to i really like how it looks and also interior is quite good overall ❤️
Economy must be bad that a phone reviewer has to review cars now. Next : house review. By the way, i test drive the hrv turbo and non-turbo..and i tell you it's a big different in power. If you have the extra cash please get the turbo version. Ps: he did quite a good job
Nanti aku mau buat hrv pang di arab hahahahhaha....langsung duduk dia model kakik-kakik nya dengan sumbu bambu yg langsung di set oleh pabrikan nya..jadi obset gaul nya tetap pesona dia hahahahaha...

Great review indeed!
just curious, is there a 3k discount on top of the retail price?

Very chill review. Like the flow and pace.
with the back seat catering only for two it will turn off a lot of customers. i was thinking of buying but not now

nice looking car from the outside, but does not look too good internally, maybe the toyota cross?
