What I understood from this Big Test, is that the HR-V focuses more on performance, ride, and handling, while the XFORCE focuses more on space and practicality, both for passengers and cargo. Sure, the price gap is quite the stretch, but the XFORCE is a really good contender for Mitsubishi in the B-SUV segment. Sure, it does have it's flaws, but keep in mind that Mitsubishi is the kind of automaker to take their time and use it to improve their lineup of vehicles in one way or another. The only genuine negative I'd say the XForce has is it's price and engine. Sure, the XForce's 1.5L NA Gas engine definitely has more than enough power to carry 5 people w/ cargo, the XForce has set itself in a position where it's competitors now have Turbos and/or some form of Electrification, HEVs, and even PHEVs and BEVs now, but considering the release of the Xpander and Xpander Cross E:Motion HEV earlier this year in Thailand, it's very likely that a HEV version of the XForce may arrive soon. But hey, that's what I think😅

Honda HR-V offers better engine performance, handling and comfort. The Mitsubishi X-Force counter that with a futuristic design, better interior with all digital speedometer, tachometer that continues up untill the infotainment display. Overall I suggest if you're always planning to visit twisties roads or incline roads in Tagaytay, Baguio or Subic then the Honda HR-V will do with its 1.5L engine with better output that will give you a better power and handling when you push the accelerator. If you want a spacier cabin, future proof design and better/futuristic interior then go for the Mitsubishi X-Force. But for the price of the Mitsubishi X-Force GT with an additional 20k to 30k you can get the Honda HR-V 1.5V Turbo that will overall surpassed the Mitsubishi X-Force in the engine and handling performance.

Those acceleration figures are woeful in 2024. The power to weight ratio of these are just really bad especially for the Xforce. No wonder it also gets middling fuel economy as it sturggles with its weight. Surprisingly, cars like the Honda BR-V, Honda City, Kia Sonet, and even the 3 cylinder Toyota Raize turbo are much quicker even with the slight uphill in consideration.

Honda HR-V wins. The Mitsubishi XForce GT is just too expensive. P1.5M for a car which only has 1.5L I4 NA gas engine, no power seat adjustment and no 360° cam. There are better options than the XForce GT such as Honda HR-V V Turbo, Civic V Turbo and Yaris Cross HEV. These have small price gaps from one another while having more to offer than the XForce. At that price, Mitsubishi should've at least put a 1.5L I4 turbocharged or NA hybrid engine and 360° cam at least. Before anyone says that the XForce has different driving modes for off-roading, these drive modes are useless without an AWD or 4WD drivetrain.

It doesn't look big of a difference on camera but in person and if you're loading a lot of stuff, you would see and appreciate the extra space that the XForce offers. The problem with the HRV is that the back door (D-pillar?) is too slanted hence offering less space especially if you're loading tall objects. We have a Yaris Cross and it may basically have the same amount of space as the XForce. Yet still sometimes I wish the back door is a little more upright so loading objects like our dog cage would be a breeze and would not impede the closing of the back door.

BYD Sealion 6, Gac Emzoom or even the old Coolray is a better buy than these too. a LOOOOT better in performance (almost double HP and torque), Better interior materials, Better NVH almost same tech and features. And Chinese Car parts are actually starting to flood too.
