      hybrids are definitely the future. but at what cost? you can get gasoline crossovers at 500k cheaper, use that 500k over the years to pay for the gas. its just the same costwise.
      plus, you are maintaining 2 engines for hybrids, the electric motor and the ICE engine.

    • @cyguy32
      @cyguy32 11 месяцев назад +2

      If the price of fuel continues to go up and it doesn't look like it's ever going down, HEVs will insulate drivers if the price ever hits 80 or 100/L. Traffic isn't predicted to get better too, so those fuel savings will pay for themselves.
      If you live in the provinces, HEVs don't make much sense

    Ang market kasi nito, yung ayaw ng malaking SUV, at ayaw ang ingay ng makina ng diesel, at ayaw handling ng MPV at SUV, pero gusto mas malaki sa sedan(civic) with comparable power.
    Honestly, iwan karamihan ang mga diesel SUVs dito sa acceleration. The Power to weight ratio is way better. Handling is also way BETTER din.

    I still have my Honda City VX 2014 and it’s still running fantastic, I don’t think I will switch to another car brand, natatakot ako madisappoint… i don’t know if i am making sense. Previous generations of HRV were underpowered as per feedback of the owners but I have always wanted one due to its practicality (like a bigger Jazz). This might be my next car should i decide to upgrade because of its turbo engine being the same with the Civic, but not as heavy so power to weight ratio should be excellent.

      Surprisingly the driving dynamics of RS variant is superb aside from quick acceleration, try to test drive the rs to fell the car then compared to other model then you’ll see what im saying. I test drove also the emzoom R style but the hrv rs is different breed imo

  • @ricogino

    The Honda HR-V V variant might be a better option than the RS. Same boosted engine, same performance aside from the rim size. But if you have an extra to spare, go with the RS! The mindset of “onti na lang RS na” is somehow kinda hard to justify not unless really has an extra. 👍
    Great car and fun to drive for a compact/small suv. Space inside is unimaginable from the looks of it but if you’re already inside you can already say “oo nga tama maluwag naman pala”.

    2024 Feb, visited Honda and had a look at HRV and found out that Honda got left behind in terms of specs, features and quality. I mean base model at 1.3m+ sports a plastic steering wheel? No power driver seats? No digital clusters? I'd take Territory titanium X below 1.6m any day. What's worse, CVT. Not the most reliable gearbox.

    Recently Got the HRV Turbo.
    Honda Sensing is superb! here are the list i discovered why i chose HRV over the Cross
    -Lane departure system and lane keep assist - will not just tell you or "beep" that you are going over your lane, but it will automatically steer the vehicle back to avoid going over. (I have lane departure on my Z71 Trail but the vehicle will not steer itself back)
    -Auto Brake Hold - if you are in traffic, if you stopped for 3sec, the vehicle will automatically HOLD the brake for you. You can get your foot off the brake pedal and the vehicle will still be on "brake". But very slight press on the accelerator will have the car moving again (compared to other vehicles that they have "hill assist" this one will hold it for you even if your not going uphill)
    -Adaptive Cruise control - this cruise control will not just let you set speed adaptively, but it will monitor what's ahead of you. So when your cruise control is already engaged and set to, for example, 100km/h, the vehicle will gradually slow down on its own, when it senses the car in front of you slows down (or is getting closer to you) even without you pressing on the brakes.
    -Forward collision - when you set it on "long" it will beep to alert the driver that you are driving dangerously close the vehicle on front, and will even STOP/apply brake automatically for you to avoid collision. and this also applies on things that are accidentally dropped ahead of you when driving
    -Traffic sign recognition - more on the speed limit sign
    -Lead car departure system - useful in traffic. when the vehicle in front already moving and the vehicle senses that you are still on brake, it will alert you that the car in front is already moving forward
    -Remote key Start with AC - love this when we are parked on an open parking, lol
    Though i know there is more to it. but for now, these are the things i find useful.
    Though i hate the "always on AUTO" headlight setting. when you need to twist the knob every time you do not need the headlights yet. hehehe

    • @Papeebords
      @Papeebords 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@Atut999 for fuel eff, def get the Cross Hybrid.
      If you do not get the hybrid, get the HRV Turbo.
      The HRV for office traffic (Heavy) 8km/l.
      Highway (Nlex) 16km/l - full tank method sa nlex pag pasok and exit.
      I dont like the HRV S and non Hybrid Cross. why?
      Cross non Hybrid - you will not get the tech. And not as efficient as Hybrid. Facepalm
      HRV S - big body for a 1.5L engine. Parang BRV lang dn. Mas efficient pa ang Turbo due to higher HP and Torque.
      The HRV Turbo engine is same sa CIVIC turbo engine. Tuned differently lang.
      Pinaka maganda, Testdrive pa rn kayo.hehehe
      Tito Tita mode mxado ang CCross. Peace!

    For that money, I'd be in a CX5. Better looks, more luxurious, better quality interior materials and you wont have that honda fanboy stigma.

    • @alexisledesma7109
      @alexisledesma7109 8 месяцев назад

      @@AJRV1-lc5wz thanks for proving my point. The CX5 is a notch higher than the hr-v but at the same price point. You get more value with the Mazda, again better materials, better looks and also 100% Japan CBU. More popular doesn't mean better.

    • @alexisledesma7109
      @alexisledesma7109 8 месяцев назад

      @@AJRV1-lc5wz you have some valid points but were still comparing the hr-v vs the supposedly "outdated" CX5. To be honest, I've owned numerous hondas prior to buying a mazda 3 in 2018 and it totally blew the honda fanboy out of me. Mazda is already at hondas doorstep in terms of quality and surpassing it in some areas. I checked out the new civic but the lackluster design, the non availability of the hatchback version and the pricing scheme, makes the mazda more appealing to value focused customers.
