    Your Enkeis have 2 valve stems because at a racetrack you are meant to fill one stem with nitrogen, while venting the other to let the existing air in the tyre out. Nitrogen sees much less of a pressure differential with heat changes than straight air/oxygen, so race teams can keep their tyre pressures and temps far more consistent for better wear/life and contact patch/grip. Not really something that you'd ever need for the street but it's a fun fact to tell at car meets

    • @bairdtownsend6546
      @bairdtownsend6546 19 дней назад +19

      Alternately, it's so you can monitor tire pressure with a gauge and fill it with air/nitrogen simultaneously (gauge on one port, gas on the other). Makes hitting your tire pressure that tiny bit quicker at a track.

    • @cademckee7276
      @cademckee7276 19 дней назад +17

      The 3rd option is that you can use a special valve stem in the 2nd that has a max tire pressure so when on track you will get to max pressure and then that stem will bleed air to try and keep the pressure the same throughout the run which can also help tire temps

      Which is cool. If you enjoy that, go nuts. But I like to see stuff that shouldn't even work. Or is so far removed from what it was stock that it might as well be a UFO. Cars people suffered for, expended immense amounts of thought and effort into, or just said "hold my sh*t beer" and threw together something totally unexpected.

    So I was a tyre technician for many years, the two valve stems allow air to be released from one stem while nitrogen is introduced into the tire from the other stem.
    Also, having two valve stems means you can install a stand alone tyre pressure monitoring system, yet still inflate through a straight valve, faster filling times.... those that know, know that sensor valves are hideously restrictive when it comes to pumping/releasing air through them

    On the oil change comment Moog made, you guys have inspired me to do as much maintenance on my car as is possible without a hoist. So far I've done the basics - oil and oil filter change plus air filter and check other fluid levels, brake pads and rotor changes and a starter motor on my step daughters car. The rest will come as and when it's needed I guess..

    The biggest reason to always buy a 2nd lot of oil is it saves bumming a lift off a mate when you forget to put the sump plug back in before refilling.

    Part 4 can't get here fast enough!!!!!! Love from Trinidad and Tobago. We have a lot JDMs here and you'd be surprised that the older they get the more expensive Toyota parts especially are. Nissan on the other hand are cheaper than biscuits.

    I bought one it was perfect condition other then head gasket 😂 I had no disposable cash for repairs I just researched the best stop leak solutions out there got the one that had the best reviews and results luckily it actually wasn't the most expensive brand...I followed the instructions to the letter to make sure I get the best results....I then serviced it fully, I ended up with a real cool car that was clean and lasted over a year before I sold it....the repair was always in the back of my mind was the reason for selling otherwise who knows how long she would of kept going....I loved the little nugget...

    I love this build a lot. Let's face it, nugget builds are the best. I drive a 4 door rav4, but I could turbo it if I had a mind to (I don't) using inspiration from this video. Appreciate the fun videos and can't wait for the next one.

    one of the reasons i became so obsessed with the gen2 rav4 platform is because i always wanted to drive Monster Tajima's pikes peak suzuki cultus because my first car was a swift gti, and weirdly it has an almost identical wheelbase and AWD. the rear diff centre is also the same as a late model AE86, so a rear LSD would be a solid off the shelf upgrade! continue living my dreams boys :')

    I think if there is one thing about MCM that I miss, it's the "aftermath". Cars are built that seem to vanish afterwards. Maybe because they are crap and difficult to produce content with, I don't know, but even that would be interesting to me.
    From a perspective of the amount of content though, you have the internet beat.
    There are channels out there with incredicbly satisfying content, that almost never upload. Ronald Finger, Fuzzy Dice, Tom's Turbo Garage etc. They have you beat from a story telling perspective, but uploads are such a rare treat.
    I don't know where I am going with this, except to say thank you for the staying power, always putting out stuff to counter balance a dull daily life.

    I bought a 1987 Lincoln mk7 for $1200 a year ago. I swapped in a tremec tkx, put drift american front knuckles and control arms, bc coilovers all around. Im building a dart block 363 stroker with port injection right now but the car has a rods and pistons 5.0 with a good cam, put a holley port injection manifold on with a terminator x ecu, 78mm precision ive had on 3 different builds. It makes 600 on e85 my new setup will make close to 900 hopefully. I got the car down to 3,000 lbs with me in it. It sits extremely low and had some badass 3 piece American racing deep dish wheels i can't remember the name of them. It has baer brakes on the front and i put the stock front brakes on the rear with the stock rear calipers for the handbrake. I have no idea why more people dont do that with their brakes. I got a super rad and big brake setup for $1200 that works better than any of my friends systems who spent three times that much with a mixture of yellow and red stuff pads. I own a pretty trick s550 as well. Built 600hp all motor coyote that revs to 9,000 rpm, 3100 lbs, wisefab uo front, bc coilovers, its vehicular perfection. If you think 600hp and 3100 lbs is lackluster, its because youve never been in a real n/a car with 600hp. Its violent man. Its a very, very serious car you cannot pussyfoot around you have to grab the thing by the neck and give it the business.

    Yall slept on getting the right rav4 a wee bit.
    The gen1 rav4 can be EASILY swapped with a Celica GT4 3sgte engine which is turbo'd and ready for waaay more boost. It also looks cooler, and the headlights are Glass, which means ZERO fogging with age.
    Ah well, this looks ok too.
