Well they issue fines without knowing who is driving. I think at least a letter to let people know they have been seen might put the wind up some people.
The issue of who's driving has never stopped the government. They could simply do what they've always done, issue the fine to the registered owner, and if it wasn't them, they nominate a driver. Also, obligatory *licences, this is Australia.

That was sooo funny! LOL Watching him "walk" across the road lol...
The irony in that last clip of "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" playing 😆
Damn, those wires on that van !!!
They were tangled in his ladder! That was real scary!
Yes it was Shocking ⚡️
2:20 is a shocker. I remember a risk manager telling me once that the risk of being hit by a car is 20-30 times greater within 1 meter of the curb. I always stand at least a meter away from the road at the lights for this reason.
What's even more dangerous is if you stand directly on the road. I was told you are 86% more likely to be hit by a car.
1:05 in the background you can see written on the fence "improving traffic flow" XD
The scariest thing about this video is that it covers only June 2024..... Sheesh!
And June's not even over yet
That first one.
"Would you like a crash with that?"
"Ooh, yes please"
"Here you go"
*crash*
"Nice"
1:02 - *sees first u-turn* Only someone with half a brain cell would do it there. *sees second u-turn* Ah there’s where the other half went 😂
You're too generous in thinking either of them has any brain cells.🤣
This is what happens when you are not allowed to do U-turns at traffic lights (from the right turn lane) People do them in the side streets instead.

4:28 that's my clip 🙂 looks much slower in the video but it was a very close call, the rider managed to slow down and not hit the rocky hill. Also my dads 1080p dashcam is terrible quality, you will never see number plates with that thing
You're very lucky. I had one head on on Australia day. I'll never forget it. The rider nearly came through the front screen right where my head was. There is a near helmet sized hole in the screen.

These videos should be a source, police and Department of transport to immediately revoke licenses. I’m aware the only setback is proving who was driving. But when they get out after stopping in the middle of the highway and look directly into the camera. Licensed revoked permanently.
In other countries they are.
In the uk fines are issues to the registered owner of the car, and they are then obliged to either confirm they were driving or disclose the details of whoever it was driving if it was someone else.

I've had a road train do that, at least he stopped before going past the start of the site. He was eating a sandwich and not paying attention. He locked it up.
They need a stop/slow sign through the windscreen.
And none of the car drivers???
Yep. And these guys have the nerve to say "Without trucks, Australia stops". Unprofessional drivers.

The last clip actually pissed me off 🤣
Yes - I was hoping the truckie would hop out and give someone a clip about the ears. But then I'm constantly wishing that with Dashcams Australia posts... except the karma ones. And even the Karma ones are cut too short.
@@elrey8876 Maybe if he'd gotten out and made his suggestions to the others in a way they could hear it, instead of leaning on the horn, they might have moved. I grant, whether the truckie wants to risk his life getting out in the middle of James Ruse Drive is another story, but clearly the horn didn't work. 2:30 - Down hill after a curve in a B-triple. Wonder if the Roadworks crew put signage up further then the corner? That may not have been enough stopping distance for that rig. If the signage was insuffcient, the driver may have been doing best possible to avoid crushing the stationary cars. I'm not even sure how they managed to lock up their rear tires like that. Brakes usually load the front tires. Handbrakes might be able to lock the rear tires but why would they do that? Perhaps it was a manual car, they downshifted, but was too rough with the clutch without blipping the throttle.
10:32 did they keep driving? 🤯
First thing is the DC is on another road.
Second is to turn around.
Third is to actually be able to help.

All factors in why any one person decides to turn around/pull over/ stop and check on a crashed vehicle and it's occupants.
Or just drive on, perhaps to call the Police on a cellphone....without turning around or reversing back to the crash site..
I have absolutely no worries about people in certain circumstances just driving on....
and in this particular case there were more people that were much closer to the crash available to help...than the DC.
@@JohnSmith-pl2bk Umm, ok sure, but it's the law to stop and pull over, especially when you are the one that just caused a fucking car to flip. What does the DC have to do with this? We are talking about the white car that just caused a car to flip.

1:26 This is why many of us love the 'Instant Karma' videos so much. It's not that we love a Nanny State: we just don't want people having their lives unreasonably threatened by irresponsible road users.
How many of those are for genuinely dangerous shit though? 95% of them seem to be some DC narc guffawing because some bloke got pinged for doing an illegal u-turn.

I think we're starting to beat the shocking Russian dash cam videos.
The man who got out of his car to help the other guy manoeuvre is a good egg!!! So lovely
10:53 that was hilarious xD
7:07 that intersection and the one a little further back are pretty notorious around our area for having terrible drivers, had one pull out right in front of me on a dark and rainy night once and I barely stopped in time
The last clip isn't an insurance fraud, the car wanted to exit the freeway and he did the thing where he just stopped in the middle of the road instead of doing a U-turn later. You can see his left indicator is on and he gets stuck by the motorbike in the left lane. Really stupid and dangerous by the driver. The truck driver has zero fault and it blows my mind some people in the comments suggest otherwise!
I firmly believe that the best way to deal with entitled drivers like in the 3rd clip 0:58 is if other drivers were allowed to block them in and bash their car until it was scrap, tickets arent working and cops rarely see it when it happens.
The car filming when the powerlines came down was stressing me out. 100% of the time in that situation you want to be as far away from downed lines as possible. Don't sit there watching and wondering. Hit reverse and MOVE! FFS
